When I arrived, I was enthusiastically greeted and the seamstress helped me do all my measurements so that I was in and out in about 10 minutes. I called the other place and they recommended I go here (they had left on vacation for 2 weeks). I dropped off the dress lady sewed the dress and I asked for it to be steamed. The process was painless and quick. I appreciated her quick turn around since the wedding was the next day. I will def go back and hope to do get something's altered in the future. It came with the house when we moved in years back. The sun has slowly beaten the cotton curtain to death over the years, and it finally developed some rips especially the outward facing side. They always say hello when I come in, and I genuinely look forward to seeing them. You can tell how hard they work and how much they care about their customers. The machines are fairly new, everything is clean and well maintained, and there are plenty of different sizes. I recently washed a huge mattress topper in the triple loader and dried it in the extra-large dryer, and it worked perfectly. They also offer wash-and-fold service. I don't personally use that service, but I've watched them doing it, and they are incredibly careful with people's clothes. You can really see the pride and care they put into their work. I also feel very safe here. The owners are around a lot, there are cameras, and it's on a nice block. And while you're waiting for your laundry, you can grab pizza, a burger, or some vegan food right next door. I really do love this place. It's not just a laundromat -- it's a friendly neighborhood business run by people who genuinely care. I'm very happy to support them and highly recommend Albany Washing Well!
