Had to get alterations done to two things: long dress and a jumpsuit. Both satin material. I dropped it off Friday and needed it back by Wed for a destination wedding. Even though the altering for the dress was tricky because of how it's made, dude came through! He thought outside the box to help figure out how to alter it which is much appreciated. With the quick turnaround time and the amount of work he had to do, it cost me $57 dollars, cash only. Definitely can't beat that! I bought a suit on sale for a wedding for less than $80 the website had a sizing tool to help you figure the right size for you. I chose my suggested size & when I received the suit the blazer was too long & the pants that were suppose to be skinny were more of a regular fit. I found Renato on yelp through this page, I live 5mins away so it was perfect. I came in waited no more than 5 mins & we got to measuring & pinning my suit. Renato gave me the ticket for my suit & took my number. A few weeks later I received a text to come in for a second fitting. Everything was perfect. I needed a last minute alteration made to a dress I bought online and I needed it quick! I called ahead to make sure it was a possibility for the alterations to be done and Renato said it sounded simple enough that he could get it done in my very small time window. Thursday morning I came into the shop and he had me try on the dress and from there he pinned to the length I wanted and also brought in the dress to give it more of a shape. Friday afternoon I picked up the dress on the way to work so I didn't have time to try it on, but when I did try it on it was PERFECT, exactly what I had originally envisioned the dress to look and fit me like. If I had a dime for each time I've attempted to run unnecessary errands in my life, I'd probably be a millionaire. Case in point: I show up on a dreary and drizzly day to C & R Alteration for last-minute hemming (about a week and a half before the wedding) on a bridesmaid's dress (word on the street is that Renalto can work magic and turn things around in one day). Being my usual scatterbrained self, I forget to bring the shoes I plan on wearing with the dress. Renalto laughs it off and assures me he can still get the job done in time if I return the following week. Fast forward four days later: I am now armed with a pair of heels and determined to get this gown hemmed. Renalto remembers me and shows me to the dressing room. I put on the dress and heels, only to discover that the dress is already seemingly the perfect length. I double check with Renalto lest I'm crazy, and he let's my foolish self leave without any annoyance or mockery in his response. OMG! Are you ever that person that has a sudden need for a tailor and you've never had one ever? So you're sitting on your bed frantically searching for a good tailor overwhelmed by these reviews and who to choose? That was me! I was actually going to go somewhere else but he called me back and there was something about this place I had a gut feeling it would be good. He did not disappoint. Not at all. Two of my aunts are tailors and have done everything for me tailoring wise my whole life. But I wanted to be able to have my own tailor and not bother my relatives so much. He said to bring it in so he can take a look for me I took it in right away he took a look as I explained what was going on and I needed a dress taken in the waist and he marked it up. Everything was very quick very professional. He also helped hem my boyfriends slacks and take in the waist on his dress pants. He said he will have it done Friday. I asked for Thursday and then settled for Friday. He texted me Thursday morning with a surprise saying my clothes were ready! Woo! Then when I came home to see them after my boyfriend picked them up. I wear a frumpy dress for my work uniform (flight attendant) & I rarely get uniforms altered out of laziness, but I was tired of trying to work comfortably in ill-fitting clothes and decided to bite the bullet and get them tailored. I've had uniform alterations in the past that were ok but basic, but C & R totally reworked my collar/shoulders to fit like a glove and you can't even tell it's been altered- the workmanship is stellar! Brought in 3 suits some years ago to get them altered and Renato did a great job. I recently bought a few pants and coats to have them altered and Renato took care of me again. I asked for the pants to be cropped and tapered. Renato is an expert tailor and it shows. He's quick to take measurements but you can tell he knows what's he's doing. The turn around time to get things done is also very reasonable, and in emergency situations when you need something done quickly, he's been very flexible, but I recommend that you call in advance first to see if it can be done. For example, my wife needed her dress shortened for an event the next day and Renato took care of it as promised. I also recently split a pair of pants he altered and he took care of it for no charge. He stands by his work and takes the time to make sure you're happy with the alterations. His prices are reasonable and while there might be other places that charge a little less, I'd still take my clothes to Renato to alter because of his professionalism and quality work product.
