We worked with Steven on two paint jobs. First time he did the exterior of our house. His quote was better than anyone else. He patiently answered all of our questions. His team had great attention to detail and they fixed the damadged wood of the chimney as well. The second time he came to our rescue when our house was flooded and our baseboards as well as some of the dry walls were ruined. He went out of his way to find matching baseboards which were original to the house (from 1995). His crew finished the work very quickly and efficiently while we lived inside the house. They did 4 rooms and hallways as well as a lot of the closets including 2 bathrooms. He stayed precisely within his initial quote for both jobs with no last minute surprises. I'm very picky about who I choose to work on my house and Steven and his team were excellent. He painted inside rooms and the exterior of the house. He fixed the drywall inside and replaced rotted boards on the outside. He even spray washed my patio since he was spray washing the house before he began painting. He is very knowledgeable on the newest high tech paint options and can advise on eco paints as well. I would highly suggest you text him for a quote or questions rather than call or email. Certainly you can do both. He is working all the time and can respond quicker if he does not have to stop too long in the middle of a job. The prices are extremely good and he was originally referred to me by one to the top wood flooring guys in town. He seems to stay booked just with word-of-mouth referrals. Steven painted our apartment when we were moving from there into our house. In my experience, apartment complexes will always try to find some little issue to catch you on so they don't need to refund your deposit, but Steven and his team did a great job, and they didn't have any issues. Steven and his crew recently painted our two story house. I was initially impressed that he could come out, take a walk around and give us a firm quote. And I was pleasantly surprised at the price. They got us scheduled quickly and showed up on time. I was the most impressed with all the prep work that they did. I only needed the walls painted, and when I was looking for quotes, people either ignored me altogether, or wanted to charge more for their time. Unreal!!! Let me tell you about our home. We decided to buy a preowned home instead of building so house wasn't up to our specific tastes. My wife researched and fell in love with the Texas Farmhouse look. I went through and vetted half a dozen companies and couldn't find anyone to meet our wants/ needs. That was until I came across "That 1 Painter". I was introduced to Allen who would get things off the ground and provided the estimate and answered all preliminary questions. He appointed Michael as our project manager and this is where the fun began. Michael went through the entire house with me and covered every single detail. I asked a ton of questions and he answered them all thoughtfully and with care. He even educated us on best colors for house trims as well as what limewash will do for our brick. He did everything and I mean everything he said he was going to do. He communicated with me constantly and I never felt neglected by him. He used painters Enrique and Luis to over see the actual applications of the paints and limewash. These guys are incredible. No mistakes. They paid attention to every detail. I like to randomly surprise companies doing work on my house to make sure job is being done diligently. Anytime I came home work was being done with intensity. No laziness no sloppiness. Man....couldn't be happier with the painting that Steven and his crew to our interior. It wasn't just the well-done, professional looking, interior paint job that we were impressed with, but the "little things" as well, that we really appreciated. We were needing a re-painting job of the walls and the trim, in a house we had already moved into. Needless to say, our stuff was strewn throughout the house. Wow these guys are awesome! They removed all the popcorn ceiling in our house, textured and painted the ceilings and they look great! They also textured and painted 3 bathrooms, painted the kitchen and bathroom cabinets and put a really nice stain on our stair railing. Looking back I realize I should have done a few things differently - given them more time for one thing. I pushed them to paint a 4,100 sq ft house in three days including two sets of cabinets. This company ruined the house I was renovating with a subpar paint job. This was an entire house interior paint job. I faced intimidation and threatening tactics when I posted a review initially. False claims were publicly posted about the type of customer I was and the interactions I had with this company. My photos show the damage and lack of quality painting I was promised. I was harassed me per text, email, and phone to persuade me to not post a review. A then property manager and Mr. Montgomery engaged in a near fight on the property as witnessed by neighbors. This company is "dirty" when you expect quality and you get upset that the opposite is what they offered. I paid zero for the labor on this job, after stonewalling their bully tactics. I did however pay for and supply all the paint for job, so I was out a lot of money with paint costs and damage repair. The headache and back and forth, threats, and to be left with a mess of a house was an ordeal no one should have to face simply when trying to hire a painter. I believe this is why more bad reviews are not posted- their threatening approach to dissatisfied customers often works. I was so excited to have Steve and his crew come paint one of our rental properties after we found our former tenant had smoked in the property. However, I was really disappointed in the job they did. Everything I was told was included in prep was indeed NOT done (sanding base boards, removing wall paper boarder, etc.), the tar was still coming through the paint (even though they said the did 2 coats + oil based primer), there was tape still on doorknobs, and trash/extension cords left in the rooms. Plus, none of the wood cabinets were prepped to be painted, just painted so the wood grain holes showed through. When I did bring the quality into question and they came to do another coat on which covered up the tar, which was a good thing, but there was still tick layers of paint on the floors that we had to scrape up, their paint cans + trash out at our curb (which the city will NOT pick up), and we found cobwebs painted among other trash stuck to the floors. So, I don't recommend them. But if you do decide to go with them, make sure you get EVERYTHING in writing as to what is included in each stage. The supervisor said they didn't do any prep (like sanding or removing the paper boarder) because it wasn't in the work order. Not my problem except the owner was out of town and could not set anyone straight. Not happy. read more

Five stars because it was a difficult project. I'm really happy with the result. The chimmey is about 40-50 feet high and they replaced the old siding with hardie plank, lap-sided all the way to the top, then painted to match the house's exterior color. The crew was able to work around the 2 trees already there, which I also really appreciated. The other company wanted them cut down before they would start the project. Also they took care to make sure all the seams joints were properly caulked and sealed. Good professional quality work done during all that cold weather last week. I received an email from Steven, who was referred to me by a real estate agent, just as I was almost closing on my "new" foreclosed home. He couldn't have come along at a better time as the previous owners trashed the house, including the poor walls that had what appeared as some strange brown textured substance, EVERYWHERE :-/. We were able to hire him to paint the ENTIRE interior of our two story home thanks to his very reasonable rates. He did a immaculate job and was surprisingly efficient.
