I decided to reach out to my YELP community and I am SO glad I did and I am so very glad I found Angela. I hosted a small dinner party with just 12 of my closest friends. I just wanted us to share in a fun evening and not worry about potluck-ing, grilling, cleaning etc. I just wanted everyone to relax. From my first phone call to Angela I knew she was the one! Literally from salt and pepper, to platters to foil to everything... she does it all!!! Her team arrived first to get the layout of the kitchen and to determine what we had and what they needed. I was in the kitchen cutting lemons and limes and other little things for the drinks and they just shooed me out! they said we got this for you! They were so sweet and cut all my drink items and made it way more beautiful than I ever could have done. Loved that, thank you! Angela arrived and the magic began to happen! OH MAN.. the smells from that kitchen.. amazing. They just took control and she didn't even ask me one question. She was a complete pro and I just relaxed and enjoyed the time with my friends. Appetizers, meal and desserts all came out at the designated times and the food... oh man... the food was delicious. This group of friends are definitely "foodies" and they all loved every bite of every item. Simple the best! Then... she cleaned up!! What???? loved that! There are not enough stars available to truly express how I felt about the entire experience with Angela. If I could give her 1,000 stars, I would. Angela made the process easy from the very first email. She was kind, thorough, attentive, knowledgeable, and of course, an incredible chef. She went out of her way to prepare an incredible meal for my family on Christmas Eve. She built a beautiful menu and we only made slight tweaks because I wanted to add more to it based on all of the pictures online from her previous work. I needed to find a caterer for our company lunch event. Thanks to all of your reviews, I found Angela. I had a frugal budget to work with and a variety of dietary needs that needed to be met AND needed this to be delivered to our office. I put in a quote request and Yelp offers to submit the same request to other vendors at the same time. That was great! Out of the 4 requests that went out, she was the only one who accepted to work with my parameters. Just as all the other reviewers stated, she does not disappoint. Oh man, what a treat! Angela is an absolute pro. She accommodated our family taste variances almost to the point of cooking separately for our "certain individuals ". You know... you have them in your family too! Our initial deal was that she would come and cook in our time-share the first of three dinners and then prepare and drop off the next two meals. We enjoyed her and Cedric so much that we had them cook in house for all three. They became one of the highlights of this vacation. The first night's menu: Pupus- Kalua Pork Lumpia Crispy rice poke bites (sushi style) Starter- Hawaiian sweet corn and arugula salad with a thyme vinaigrette Entree- Grille Kalbi steak Market fresh white fish poached in a ginger garlic coconut cream Garlic fried rice Steamed Broccoli Dessert- Hawaiian sea salted caramel crunch cake It was perfect! The lumpia disappeared! (It turns out that it got hidden by one of the daughters so the son-in-law didn't eat them all). Everything else was terrific and after we were pleasantly stuffed we still had a ton of leftovers. I was looking forward to that garlic fried rice for lunch, but son-in-law had already eaten it all before I could get to it! I did however enjoy that crunch cake with my coffee the next two mornings. Exceeded Expectations! We can be a difficult client to service. Our expectations for both food quality and service are high. Angela from "That Girl Can Cook" came highly recommended to us from local Hawaiian residents but we needed a menu to address our KETO diet and one Vegan in our party. Angela took on the challenge with incredible enthusiasm and presented us with menu options that seemed too good to be true to serve us daily for one week. She delivered on every dish she prepared. I could not believe the diversity of flavor and selection for our entress and variety of desserts (I have a sweet tooth, but don't eat sugar, flower or fruit except berries). My favorite was chocolate brownies with peanut butter ice-cream! Breakfast included berry scones, cinnamon strudel muffins, handmade Cinnamon toast and egg dishes in every imaginable form. Dinner included incredible cauliflower sushi rolls, Mexican enchiladas, delectable fish and meat dishes and appetizers that simply blew is away. HOLY MOLY this is the reeeeal deal! Seriously AMAZING! If there were a million stars we could give for a rating, she'd have each and every one of them. We were lucky enough to have Angela prepare our parent's 50th wedding anniversary dinner at a home we rented in Oahu. There was 15 of us, peanut allergies, people with some special requests (the whole 9 yards of annoyingness) and she literally rocked it. We hired her as a surprise for my parents and it couldn't have been a more perfect ending to a perfect anniversary trip. First, her personality is to die for. She made us feel comfortable, fit in perfectly with the family, and took us up on our offer to stay and hang out with us for a little after the meal was finished! Second, her cooking is beyond amazing. It was literally THE BEST meal we had in Hawaii, most of us say ever! She brought freshly caught fish from that morning, had a homemade dressing she prepared from fruits from her backyard, made a special cake for our parents to cut with their cake cutter from their wedding (just to name a few of the fabulous things she whipped up). This time I booked her one week prior to the event and Angela ensured the dinner meal for my father in law's 90 birthday was a success.
