I want to go back! We had cappuccino it was a cool day and the cappuccino was perfect. We ordered the calamari as an appetizer. I wouldn't recommend the calamari. It was tough and probably had been frozen too long. Let's face it, we're not anywhere near an ocean to get it fresh. For our main meal, we ordered the cheesesteak Stromboli. It was amazing and large. We ordered the large it was enough to feed six people. The beef was perfect, no fat & grizzle. The crust, peppers, onions and mushrooms were out of this world. I thought that the food teach an average overall I got the grandpa pizza which was a vodka, pizza and pasta sauce and then I got the tiramisu. The pizza was OK. I thought the sauce was decent, but the cross was like any other cross that you would get at a pizza shop there was nothing special about it even though it was woodfired they were. I feel like I could get that at any amusement park or any place that I went to The sauce did add some sort of flavor to it, but I think if I had just gotten a plain cheese pizza I would've been very underwhelmed. We came into the restaurant to order pizza. We asked to sit at one of the tables and both cashier and manager instantly said no we close at 9pm mind you it was 8:00p exactly when they told us this and told us to go sit outside. It was windy and we had babies with us. Without questioning or reply back we were on our way out to sit outside and a couple came in and was immediately sat down. Mind you the entire restaurant was empty when we came in with not a single customer in it. Very rude and poor service. read more

As a chef myself, I tend to be over critical. This place however, was immaculate. Salmon in the special was cooked well but still held juice and flavor. Wings were crispy without being dry. Caesar wrap had a-lot of flavor. Great dinner easily an 8/10 and came here on a busy day. read more

I never write restaurant reviews, like EVER! I have been to That's Amore twice because everyone glazes it so much. Both times it was genuinely awful. I cannot get this place out of my head, simply for the service. The first time I went I was a freshman in college. As a college kid, it does not take much to please me. A kind, competent server and a decent meal that doesn't taste like crap is typically enough. I got neither of those things here. I wish I could remember this servers name, because she was the worst! She did not give us silverware, then took 20 minutes to take our DRINK ORDERS! We finally get drinks and our appetizer, calamari. It wasn't crispy or flavorful, but soggy and bland. I felt like I was eating a squid right out of the sea. Gross. Then we ordered: my boyfriend got shrimp alfredo, I got a small pizza with peppers and onions. Simple, easy, should have been correct the first time. NOPE. My boyfriend got noodles and sauce, no shrimp. When he said "sorry, there's no shrimp in here" our server was like "yes there is, it smells fishy". Um, YEAH, we just ate fing CALAMARI. Obviously she never cleared the appetizer plate because she was horrible. Then I get mine, and it has mushrooms. I am not picky, but I HATE mushrooms. So I'm like, "I am so sorry, but I didn't order mushrooms on this. I wanted peppers instead". I am not kidding, this girl looked at me and went, "then why would you order it?". HUH! I said "Yeah, so I hate mushrooms and I would never order them". She rolled her eyes and took it back, came back with a pepperoni and onion pizza. At this point I'm like whatever, ate the crappy food, and we got out of there. We literally called our friends and asked what the least amount we could tip was. As an "itailian" restaurant, the service should be good, especially on Valentines Day. We went back a year later and the food and service were still pretty bad; not as bad, but still not good. Me and my mom were hungry and decided to stop by for a quick snack. I got a slice of pizza, my mom got a caesar salad, and then we had tiramisu for dessert. The pizza was just ok, wasn't fresh, nor was it cheezy enough. But I'm from NY, so I'm biased as we have the best pizza in the country. That's Amore is my favorite restaurant in the Bloomsburg area! It looks like a typical pizza parlor, but the dinners are excellent and very reasonably priced. My family and I love the bread they bring to the table.. it tastes very fresh and I believe it is home made. I think the lasagna is their best dish, so I usually order it with a side of meatballs. The sauce is delicious and I like to use the bread to get every last bit! Our favorite server is Ciara. She's served my family and I many times. She's very efficient and personable. Our drinks are never empty and we always have everything we need. I like the dessert here too. I recommend the cannoli. I'm planning on having my birthday dinner here :-) read more

My friends and I ate here for dinner one night during our 10 year reunion Bloomsburg homecoming weekend. Atmosphere was great with no wait time. Service was not great. I informed the waitress of my anaphylaxis shock carrot allergy, and when my side Caesar salad came out, there was a small piece of carrot on the side of my bowl. For my main course, I ordered penne with vodka sauce and added grilled chicken. My meal came out without chicken, so I informed the waitress. She brought me a mini bowl of sliced chicken soaked in white creamy sauce, more sauce than chicken. When I asked her what the sauce was, she said she didn't know, that she was exhausted, and that she "asked the kitchen for chicken and that's what they gave her". I understand mistakes happen, but not knowing what food you are giving your customers is not acceptable, especially someone like me with severe allergies. read more

After a lovely massage I was feeling pecking, I always pass by this place and smell it before I see it. My first time in I ordered for a brioche bun cheese burger with Swiss cheese, (which came with fries )and a lemonade. I requested my burger medium well and I must say it was absolutely fantastic!! It tasted so fresh and juicy. I'm not even a burger person . Fries were also just delicious, very generous portion. My lemonade was also great. The service was five star. Stopped with my family on the way thru town for a late lunch. They all ordered hot meals while I settled on the turkey and cheese wrap, which comes with lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise and a side of fries. They GRILLED the wrap! I, of course, didn't take a single bite, because no one wants steamed, wilted lettuce or hot mayonnaise, but they didn't offer to replace it or even remove it from our $80+ bill. The rest of the food was decent, but no one was overly impressed. One of the worst restaurants I ever been to. We got there one hour before closing time. We order food and drinks. They were so busy cleaning the restaurant that the server never check back with us. They later brought the appetizer and one of the 2 drinks we ordered. It's took them forever to bring our soda, they forgot about it and we had to look for a server. Then it their main entree I found a broken piece of glass! I told the manager, he apologized but initially did not want to give us a refund but instead wanted to offer us free desert. Went in today to order a very simple meal. I have a milk allergy and always order simple to make it foolproof. I ordered spaghetti with extremely light oil and garlic, and very dry well done grilled chicken on top. I do not like anything extra. Sounds simple right?! Not here. The server brought out a soup dish lol. It had spaghetti with chicken broth, whole cloves of garlic, and very wet like boiled cuts of chicken. I could only stare at it flabbergasted for a minute. I questioned what it was. She said it's what you ordered. I said no it's not. And repeated my order. I was expecting almost dry spaghetti, diced garlic and a sliced grilled chicken breast on top. I said that is not what I ordered I can not eat that lol. She brought it back to the kitchen shaking her head, came out again and explained that the 'cook' put chicken broth on it. I said I didn't order soup! I again dumbstruck repeated my order and asked them to take it off my bill. So here comes out the 'cook' and said that's how they make spaghetti, with chicken broth?! I'm having to argue with him in the dining room on why this is not what I ordered, and why I order something so specific. It's not rocket science. Just following directions. They both had horrible attitudes and were shaking their heads at me. I should have taken a picture it looked so weird with whole garlic cloves, chicken broth, spaghetti and sliced-not grilled-chicken. It literally looked like soup. He was telling me I was wrong for ordering what I did because they don't make it that way. My life depends on every thing I put in my mouth. Anaphylaxis allergy is no joke. They then upcharged my $.50 side of fries to $4.00 to make themselves feel better. It was about plate of fries the size of a cup saucer. Do not waste your time and money here they are awful. They Do not admit their mistakes or try to make things right. Believe me when I get what I order and don't go to the hospital from eating my food we leave a huge tip, well over 20%. He yelled at us going out the door about that too. Totally no class and an embarrassment to the establishment. Disgusting experience. And yes I will spread the word. This place was amazing! The service was great and the food was phenomenal. Bruschetta was on point. Even though it is Italian (and my nieces fettuccini Alfredo was scrumptious) I went with the burger. I was pleasantly surprised! It was so delicious! But that was about all the good there was. We had slices of pizza, lunch salads, and pasta. No one at the table finished their meal, not because of the portion size but more because it of taste and quality. Pizza was ok. Lunch salads were fair at best. Salads look like they were thrown together with little thought or care. Pasta was exceptionally poor. Ordered Carbonara. A relatively simple dish. Four, maybe five ingredients. What came to the table was unrecognizable. Pasta drowned in a yellow thick sauce of something. Could have been eggs (scrambled?) or could have been slightly curdled cheese. Barely edible. Either way we were more interested in getting back on the road so I just picked out the pasta, left the yellow slop and road out of town. If you go keep it simple. Pizza or subs.
