The french fries were very good. I got chicken scampi. I didn't like how the meat was cut up and put into a bowl. Flavor wise, it just didn't do it for me. My friends enjoyed their meal: chicken franchise, and chicken with vodka sauce. The chicken franchise came in two fillets, the chicken and vodka was cut up prior. I think it would have been better if the two dishes were kept as fillets. You seat yourself, and you get your own drinks, there isn't fountain soda nor baked potatoes. Ordered a large pizza last night 4-4-25 @ 6 pm . I have going to Alta for years and has always been very good! But now I'm just not sure what is happening with the food! I picked it up after the 45 minutes that I was told and brought it home. Opening the box the pizza was very dark looking and cold. Lifting it up and I saw it was burnt and the crust was very hard ! The pizza was really bad and tasted awful like it was sitting or old. Had to throw it away !! I don't know what is wrong with the staff but I hope they fix this and get back to the very good restaurant food they had in the past !! read more

Small little Italian pizzeria, no seating but great atmosphere. The cashiers and staff are very friendly and work well together to make sure every order has what it needs. They do not skimp on the meats/ toppings of any order! Well made fresh pizza. Would recommend to anyone in the area. read more

Food is excellent , however their delivery sucks. Ordered a pizza and chicken parm hoagie at 610 pm on the slice app. Food went out for delivery at 715 pm . Received it ice cold at 803 pm. So a week later I tried again . 90 minutes later I got cold food again. If you want good food delivered cold then this is the place for you. read more

Ok... So typically I do reviews when I travel but it never occurs to me that people may be traveling to my home town and would be looking for food options. I will follow the same criteria that I do for my other reviews (keep it consistent) Parking is free on-street parking but with enough available spots to accommodate the small dining area. The main dining area is "cozy" and homey feeling with about 7-10 tables and depending when you go it may be tight. Service: honestly it depends when you go. I've been happy with it at times and other times it has been SOOO bad that I've have boycotted for long periods of time (years in fact). Service is a HUGE part of my dining experience and I would say it trumps the food in most cases. DATE: 09/28 @1830 family went in for a kids spaghetti with meatball (princess), an adult capellini in red sauce (wifey), and the Pesci Cilentana ($16.75 Mussels, Shrimp, Clams Served in a Spicy Tomato Sauce) 45 minutes we waited for a dish I normally get in under 20 minutes. Pasta on all of our dishes were not drained thoroughly and sat in the soupy red sauce (see photo). In addition to sitting in a plate of water, no flavor and no heat in my Pesci Cilentana and the seafood was still cold (watched them try and pull apart frozen muscles in the back ) Owner, Neil, came out and said that he tried to drain the pasta but I was rushing him (at 35 minutes I did go up to the counter to ask for a status or ETA ). He then offered 3 free cannoli as a token. I passed (on a diet) I will keep this here until my new boycott of Alta is lifted and I update with that experience read more

Order from Alta 10 minutes to 5 pm they said 40 to 45 minutes ,10 minutes to 6 we called back she said it will be there in 10 to 15 minutes it got here at 25 minutes after , the antipasto was in a bag with the garlic knots hen I opened it the dressing was all over the bag and the antipasto was half dumped out so I called back she said the dressing is in a separate container there was no container so they sent me another antipasto no dressing and it was almost as bad as the first needless to say we threw them away . Great place to have a great homemade Italian meal. All quality ingredients, no short cuts there! It is family owned and operated. You feel like family and are treated as such. They have everything from fettuccine Alfredo, seafood dishes and pasta, Italian and American antipasto, to name a few. The take out items are amazing from the stromboli to the many different pizzas offered. The portions are insane. Definitely have for the next day. Don't forget the tirimissu or cannoli. This has got to be the worst place on earth to eat. I ordered a California Cheese Burger to go. When I arrived there to pick it up here is what I witnessed: The door didn't stay closed and the cold air was blowing in. The walls were very dirty. I witnessed a cook drop a piece of what looked like a chicken finger on the floor and then continued to cook it. When I finally got my California Cheese Burger it came on a steak roll, it was so bland and greasy I only ate two bites. Everything is way over priced, bland and disgusting. Was staying in Hazleton for a wedding; my family was exhausted from driving and decided to order in to our hotel. When we originally called to place our order we asked for a turkey sub which was listed on their website menu and was informed they no longer serve turkey. We then said we would call back.... After reevaluating the menu we called back and asked for the Garden Chicken Patty sub and the person on the phone wasn't sure what it was then said they don't have chicken patties but could make a sub with chicken tenders instead. How do you not know an item on your own menu? Or advertise an item you do not have? We took the chicken tender sub instead along with other things including an order of fries. The food took an hour and 5 minutes to get delivered! The fries were cold and soggy, the chicken tender sub was very dry and the pasta was runny. If we ever travelled back to the area we would not consider this as a food option. read more

The restaurant was also questionably sanitary - is it common to store food products in a booth? It didn't take long to learn they lost my order. Then, I was told by the counter, "Why didn't I just order the special - it would've been cheaper." Now you tell me??!! Are you kidding me?! How about you honor the special pricing - or better yet, have told me when I called in the first place. I have been ordering from altas since I was young and never had an issue. Tonight we placed a simple order for a turkey hoagie with just lettuce and mayo and an order of hot wings. Once the food was delivered, the turkey hoagie that was supposed to be quite simple ended up with onions, banana peppers, Italian dressing, oil and vinegar AND mayo. Not sure how all these other ingredients ended up on a very simple order but it was the most disgusting hoagie I've ever had. I took a few bites and had to stop. The hot wings order included 2 RAW Wings!! so not only was the hoagie completely messed up and not edible but now there's a risk of sickness from raw chicken wings. I don't know what happened to this place but I will never order from here again. Couldn't even call to complain because the food got here right as they closed. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!! read more

This place is fantastic. The very friendly owner, Neal, gave me a tour of the kitchen, and it was immaculate. The ziti was very rich and flavorful. Portions were very generous. Disappointing. It seems this business can not handle a busy Friday or Saturday night. Twice I waited now after calling ahead. They tell you a certain time on the phone and then I must wait another 30-40 minutes after I arrive. This time the pizza was under cooked. Clearly their quality slips when they are busy. Very tasty homestyle dishes. The portions are huge! So I would advise either split an entree or go doggybag so as not to waste any. I like how the cooking style is south western Italy. The food is decent, but their customer service sucks. They also can't be on time to save their lives. Our company ordered a lot of pizza to feed most of the employees. We called over an hour ahead for deliver at 12:30. They were 40 minutes late. They were called three times, and all three times we were told their driver had just left. Then they started hanging up on us. Our office is a mile away from them. The pizza that did come was cold. The toppings were burnt.
