Thay is all things tea: bubble tea, tea lattes, tea pots and infusers, all manner of loose leaf tea. They also have excellent cookies (we enjoyed the white chocolate and macadamia nut one quite a bit). I had their chai tea latte (a drink about which I am very picky) and it seemed to get better as I sipped it. They make it with micro-ground chai which imparts a bold and spicy flavor. I wish I had bought some to take home with me! Thay Tea is pretty much a dream tea room for me; these folks take tea seriously and it shows.

Was delighted with the aromas of the teas and the friendliness of the owner. Purchased some Earl Grey Tea to take home. All I can say: Wow!

The service was fast and efficient! I couldn't help but smile when I received my coffee! It was beautiful and the aromas instantly drew me in for my first drink. As I tasted the coffee it was an explosion of flavor. I was hooked! After, I finished my latte I realized that I had to take some of this coffee home with me. Thankfully, they told me what blend to purchase and I was able to take it home. I loved how the decorations had a fun local flare to them. It felt like a classic beach town coffee shop. They also had lots of baked goods to choose from. I unfortunately didn't get a chance to try any. But, I will next time! Tofino Coffee is a 100% must! I'll always stop by for a coffee when I'm in town. Latte-The latte was smooth, rich, creamy, and nutty. With a slight bitter note. It was very well balanced. It had deep notes of milk chocolate, dark caramel, cocoa nibs, golden raisin, toasted coconut, with earthy notes! Everything that you could want in a latte! The milk was sweet and frothy. And, addictively good! I savored every last sip!

"Why Would You Want That?"…read more The wife & I went to Barkley Cafe for breakfast this morning. She ordered the Breakfast Burrito while I ordered the Cold Smoked Salmon Bagel. I told the cashier (male with grey curly hair) that I wanted my bagel open-faced. He paused, looked at me, then said "Why would you want that?". Why would I want that? Because I'm not a moray eel who can unhinge his jaw to fit tall things like a stacked bagel sandwich into my mouth. What kind of question is that? The vast majority of the 100+ bagel places I've been to in my life serve them open-faced by default. Why this guy was so perplexed by my request is baffling. If some customer requests soy milk instead of dairy milk in their latte, does he also ask "Why would you want that?". If some customer requests their English Muffin toasted, does he also ask "Why would you want that?". How about you stick to fulfilling the customer's order without challenging them to justify it? Anyways, the wife felt her Breakfast Burrito was just average, and my Cold Smoked Salmon Bagel was disappointing, though it was ultimately served open-faced. The lox didn't taste smoked at all, and there were hardly any capers. The arugula was messy without contributing much flavor. It would've been nice if they added tomatoes (like most bagel places). Not gonna bother coming back here. Also, the seating is very cramped.
