Waffle cone with mini donuts and cup with pumpkin pie!

Amazing local ice cream, both items we ordered were probably the best soft serve we have EVER had. Cheerful and friendly customer service and a cute little spot overall! Highly recommend!

Chocolate soft serve with cookie dough and chocolate syrup
    Blake B.

Small ice cream shop on the end of a street. Ice cream was good, but lacked variety. It's only soft serve and there are set menu options and not much room for customization. My husband and I both got cookie dough, his with vanilla ice cream and mine chocolate, both with chocolate syrup on top. Nothing too exciting. Just your basic ice cream shop.

    Key lime pie

Kids found this when looking for ice cream on a recent trip to Tofino. Sure a small is about $8 but this isn't a soft serve from some fast food joint. Quality ice cream and the toppings are great. Tried the key lime pie as well as the chocolate Diablo cookie and both were great. Although I was hoping for a bit more heat in the Diablo cookie! Definitely in the list for my next trip to Tofino

Jupiter Skor Cookie Dough w Caramel sauce
    Sierra D.

It took us a few minutes to find this place as it's tucked in the corner at the very end of the street. I ordered the Jupiter Skor Cookie dough and my boyfriend got the Jupiter Peanut Butter Cookie dough. What I liked about this place is that you get to pick what kind of ice cream you want, toppings, and sauces (which are made in-store). The portions are generous as the "small" was almost a medium. The only thing that would've made the ice cream better is if the toppings and sauce were layered in between the soft serve so that when you get to the bottom it's not just soft serve! Like others have said, the Debit/Credit machine is spotty. (The shop owner even warned us) so I would bring cash next time.

PICNIC CHARCUTERIE'S smoked sea salt honey & dry cured bacon. Honey drizzle. Chocolate ice cream is dark, chalky & satisfying.

Best soft-serve ever. Choose your flavor, choose your topping, choose your sauce and you're good to go.

The entire place felt elevated but cozy - our table was upstairs under beautiful wooden beams and big windows overlooking the town. The vibe was lively but not too loud on a Tuesday evening. Service started out wonderfully and we regularly received fresh table settings between courses, however we had a switch in waitstaff later in the meal and it was incredibly slow at the end. No big deal since we weren't in a rush but something to note that it could be hit or miss. The food, on the other hand, was 100% on point. We ordered the potato crusted oyster appetizer and I was blown away - innovative and delicious. For my main, I got the halibut in a curry sauce that was just perfection. My friends tried the sea board, seaweed salad, and scallop gratin, and loved all of it. This meal was a highlight of our vacation.

The Wolf and Fog fell short of our expectations, particularly given its premium pricing. The menu…read morewas ruined by poor flavor profiles, heavy-handed oil, and off ingredient combinations. We had the seafood tower which was quite underwhelming , the Szechuan fish dip was overly oily, and the salmon special and house-made pasta were meh.The evening was a masterclass in how an expensive dining experience can crumble due to flawed execution. Despite the restaurant boasting a beautiful interior and atmosphere, the food was a severe disappointment.

In general the food was great and the staff was friendly (one barista that I dealt with was not very enthusiastic but they seemed like they were just really tired). The setting is beautiful! There's ample patio seating, and whether you sit inside or outside you get a beautiful view of the water. Curried cauliflower handpie: A fantastic savoury handpie with a flaky crust and a flavourful vegetarian filling. Some handpies are kind of flat with not a lot of filling but that was not the case here. It came with a mango chutney for dipping. Chocolate quinoa cake (GF): When I was choosing a dessert when I went here for lunch, I felt like I should get pie, but this cake looked so good and I did not regret trying it. Really fudgy and rich. Fantastic cake that definitely did not suffer from being made gluten free. If anything, the texture was better than a regular cake. Lemon buttermilk pie: This was the only thing I tried that I didn't like. I wanted to try this one because it seemed unique, as I don't think I've tried a custardy lemon pie before, but it was too sweet for me. The texture was lovely and the little pops of brightness from the berries were nice, but it was kind of hard to get through. Vegan breakfast cookie: Good but basic breakfast cookie with oats, seeds, and cranberries, held together by what tasted like peanut or maybe almond butter. I liked the texture - I'm not sure exactly what it was about it, but it tasted fresher than a lot of breakfast cookies I've tried. Chai latte: Good - I saw them making it, and they use a packaged but good chai concentrate, from Say When. It makes a strong, spicy chai latte that's not too sweet. Tea: They have Mighty Leaf tea which I think is pretty good. I got the green dragon tea here.

This family-operated establishment radiates an infectious, lively energy that immediately transports you to a quintessential beachfront eatery. Stepping inside, the first thing you notice is the captivating ambiance. The air hums with the joyful melodies of 1950s rock and roll, music that has an uncanny knack for putting a smile on everyone's face. Then, you're likely to be greeted by Big Daddy himself - a true master of his domain. His extensive knowledge of every menu item and the fresh, locally-sourced ingredients that go into them is genuinely impressive and adds a personal touch to your ordering experience. Their specialization spans an irresistible trio: succulent seafood, mouth-watering burgers, and perfectly crafted chicken sandwiches. My friend, Don, and I placed our orders and found a cozy spot, eagerly anticipating the buzz of our pager. When our food arrived, brought to us by a wonderfully cheerful and polite kitchen assistant, I was genuinely astonished. The sheer generosity of the portions and the impeccable presentation were truly a feast for the eyes. I indulged in a phenomenal chicken sandwich, generously topped with a crisp, homemade apple coleslaw and a creamy, tangy dressing. Accompanying this masterpiece were some of the freshest, most perfectly golden-brown French fries I've ever tasted. Don opted for a hearty serving clam chowder served with delicious house bread and a refreshing side salad. Each bite was a testament to the quality and passion Big Daddy's puts into their food. Our entire experience, from the warm welcome to the last delicious morsel, was nothing short of fantastic. I wholeheartedly recommend Big Daddy's Fish Fry to anyone seeking an outstanding meal, a vibrant atmosphere, and genuinely friendly service in Tofino. It's an unforgettable taste of coastal comfort.
