Every staff member we interacted with was friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do. I also appreciated that some friends who don't drink were still able to enjoy themselves thanks to the non-alcoholic options. The property itself is beautiful with scenic views, plenty of space to relax, and such a peaceful atmosphere. We had amazing weather the day we visited, which made it even more memorable. There was PLENTY of seating still - lots of large and small tables scattered throughout the property. They also have seating inside the winery at a small bar. The wine itself was really nice; we had several bottles of the rose at the table. It was light, crisp, and easy to sip in the nice weather. I was impressed that they also had 2 non alcoholic wines; the non drinkers in our group were happy to have some options made just for them (which were delicious also). There is a third party pizza business that had food offerings; we had many different types of their pizza which were all good. Very smart to have a food option for folks to enjoy while we sip our wine. Overall, the property is wonderfully maintained and the wines meet all expectations. There is accessible parking out front and an elevator for those who may need it to get to the theater upstairs. The theater is small and intimate with 99 seats. I wanted to take pictures of the theater, but they were doing panel discussions and I just didn't feel comfortable snapping pictures during such a thoughtful process. As I understand it, they also provide services to the community around art in the form Of classes, discussions and even camps for the kids. So yes. . . Gaithersburg has begun to grow on me even though I live in Southern Maryland. I live over an hour away but I didn't mind the drive. I would definitely come back again.

They would benefit from a brochure or printed materials explaining the pricing and the audiovisual connections so clients would have a clearer understanding of what they were signing up for. The hotel staff didn't know anything about the block of rooms I reserved and wouldn't give me the agreed price when I wanted a room on the spot. Ultimately my guests were happy but some did not get appetizers or any food at all because it is quickly removed. I would only recommend this venue if you have a lot of flexibility with your budget.

I've coordinated close to 100 events, and this one was especially important because it was for a family member. From the moment I arrived, there was a clear lack of communication between the venue owners. The woman in charge was rude and unhelpful from the start. Not only was she unpleasant, but she also badmouthed the bride and groom, which was completely unprofessional. We had paid an extra $700 for an additional table, and when I asked about it, she threw a fit and accused us of trying to get things for free--despite it already being paid for. Throughout the night, she continued to be rude and uncooperative, so I chose to work directly with the wait staff, who were much more helpful. To make matters worse, the staff packed up all the leftover food and kept it for themselves without even offering it to us. Although we had the venue booked until 1:30 AM, she started trying to shut the event down by midnight. Our event was elegant, and the guests were respectful.
