I heard about Market on the Move a few years back but never really ventured in it. I woke up early one Saturday and decided to try this place out especially because I could get 60lbs of veggies/fruit for $10. I've never really looked back after that first visit. I bring everyone I know to this place and will continue to visit. The people working are amazing, they're helpful and cheery and it helps get you going in the morning. If you ever grab too many fruits or vegetables or sometimes breads just give some to a family member or someone you see on the street. So many people would cherish getting this stuff so if you grab a few more items than your family needs make sure to bring it elsewhere before it spoils. You can even feed some tortoises with this food. I really enjoy this club and am so happy it exists for every family. They do not allow pictures inside but I have described the process below: Saturday 8am-10am They will list the types of vegetables and fruit you can get on The 3000 Club Facebook Page the day before. Bring in $10 cash and sometimes you may have to wait in the line but otherwise walk in to see the guy with the cash box. He will give you a ticket that you will hand off to the lady at the end of the experience. Next you will grab a box on the right side of the room and put it up on the conveyer belt. You can grab anything you want and the people may tell you "only 1 bag of spinach" or limit your items but that's ok! Finally when you finish down the line just put your box on the cart and hand in your ticket. Now you just need to push your cart to your car and load for foods! It's quick and easy and you have nothing to worry about.

My empty box waiting to be filled.

They rescue produce and sell you 60 lbs for $10. Sometimes it includes other stuff too. They load it into your car.

I recently met with the children and family services coordinator who told me they take women and children and offer daycare to residents, in order to provide job training for interested women. Both men and women are offered services. On campus is an El rio health clinic so people could get health services. There's food available. There's places to sleep. There's an intake counter for people in need, look for the Welcome center building. The gospel rescue mission is always in need of volunteers to do various things. If you go to their website, you can apply to volunteer.
