If you want to experience Flavor Town, eat at Warfuel Kitchen! After a long drive from Nevada, I…read morestopped by this place close to closing time. Sam was incredibly helpful in creating a vegan-friendly, protein-packed meal. Most places don't allow protein substitutes, but she suggested using chickpeas in their teriyaki rice box, and let me tell you, it was delicious and satiating. The presentation of the food is what you'd call eye candy, and the portions are substantial. This place is definitely worth the visit, a true hidden gem in Tucson. Thanks again Sam!

If you just type in their address, it doesn't put you in the right spot. You have to park in the parking lot off of Main Street and then walk around to get to the entrance. Today, I thought I'd pick up a few things for lunches this week and some wellness shots for my husband and I was coming from an unfamiliar direction and I was lost and sent off course down 2nd Street since my last review, I've tried some of their made to order smoothies and boy. What a treat. I like the peanut butter and jelly protein smoothie very much. They've updated the look of their menu so it's much better lit when it was previously written out by hand and now it's just much more professional with pictures. The location is very small, but there is seating and a microwave, to heat up and enjoy any of the prepped meals out of the refrigerated cases. I feel that their prepared meals are generous size and usually have trouble eating the whole thing and try to just eat half, saving the other half for lunch the next day. I believe each entrée is $11 and they're made in the morning and they put on their expiration date so if you buy it take it home you know you'll need to eat it in a few days. The labels on the meals are color-coded, and so if you are looking for certain types of meals, look on their website and I'll give you a color key based on the type of diet you're following on which meals to pick. Since I am allergic to celery and fennel, I know that those ingredients are none of their meals and so I know I can safely eat without worrying about allergies. Taking that into account, I love their chipotle meatloaf; a dish that typically has celery mixed in. I've encouraged my friends and they have all agreed that Warfuel kitchen is a great spot for people who interested in getting freshly prepared meals to go.

I normally write very positive reviews, but this was the worst experience ever! Any business can…read moreget a pass for a mistake made, but it's inexcusable in today's world for a restaurant to give bad/disrespectful service. My partner is a passionate "foodie" who has been a successful food writer/blogger in LA and other cities throughout his career. We have been to so many amazing restaurants in Tucson as well as LA, Phoenix and Chicago. On Thursday, my partner tried to make a dinner reservation for Friday on their website and it was not working, so he called the restaurant and spoke to someone who said they did not have 5:30, but they had a 5:00 open, so we took that. He told her that he tried the website but it wasn't working and she said "that happens all the time". When we arrived on Friday at 5:00, the woman said she didn't see a reservation for us. My partner said that he called the day before and made the reservation, she was very rude, saying they were booked and she did not see a reservation for the 2 of us. My partner reiterated that he called Thursday (he's quite sure that he actually spoke with her) she said she'd try to get us a table, but we needed to be done by 6:30. She instructed someone else to seat us. Within minutes, someone approached our table and introduced himself as the owner and said very loudly and aggressively, so customers could hear "if you ever talk to one of my employees like that again, swearing and using foul language, you'll be banned from the restaurant!" I calmly said to him "he was not rude to her, he absolutely did not swear or use foul language, he does NOT do that." A good manager who cares about his customers would have handled this differently- "good evening. I understand you had issues making a reservation, tell me about that". We have been to so many amazing restaurants in Tucson, no need to patronize a place where the owner treats customers so poorly. We left and went to a very popular restaurant. The place was packed, yet we saw the owner who greeted us and asked if we had a reservation, we said "no". He said "that's ok, I'll get you a table". We had a great experience.
