Most of this is normal bar food that isn't super special in any way. That being said, I loved all of the drink options they had. It allowed me to try plenty of options before making a selection. Our server was also helpful when picking a drink (The raspberry cider was my favorite). My only complaint is how cramped the place is and almost all of the interior seating is high tops. Do not sleep on the 859 Tap Room. I'm so glad I came across this restaurant on the Chowdown Cincinnati Facebook group. Everyone in our group got something different and it was all fantastic, but the star of the show for me were the hush puppies I also got the buffalo chicken wrap and fries which were both delicious. We sat on the patio and even though it was cold out they had it enclosed with heaters which was nice. You can see the planes flying overhead so I can't wait to go back when it's warm and the patio is fully open. The menu is huge and there are so many things I want to try! read more

We came back and I tried the Buffalo Chicken Tenders. We started off this time with the Corn Dip and it was served in a hot cast-iron pan with plenty of delicious tortilla chips. It was certainly more than the three of us needed but we thought it was good. The breading on the buffalo chicken tenders wasn't what I remembered. Apparently they changed the recipe and I won't get them next time. They were tender all white meat battered in house. Next time I really want to try the fried fish as I have seen many positive reviews. Their onion straws are absolutely the best I have ever had. I look forward to coming back. read more

We sat down, ordered drinks and an appetizer, and the mozzarella wedges were on the table within about two minutes -- seriously fast. Overall, the food came out super quickly, which was impressive. We went on a Sunday to watch some football, and even though the place was about half full, the kitchen was still pumping out food efficiently. The mozzarella wedges were good, though they could've been cooked just a bit longer. For entrees, we ordered the brisket grilled cheese and the taco salad with chicken. I probably wouldn't order the brisket grilled cheese again -- the brisket itself was very tender and juicy, but it had a smoky flavor that just wasn't for me personally. The taco salad, on the other hand, was excellent. The chicken was super tender and full of flavor. Portion sizes were big, and I'd definitely recommend trying the southwest ranch dressing -- it was a standout. Overall, we really enjoyed our visit and would definitely stop by again if we're in the area! read more

They have tons of craft brews to choose from and a full bar that has a great bourbon selection. The staff was steady with service. Not very personable but they were busy on this day. DISAPPOINTING! I have read and heard so much about 859's food, service and ambiance but it was not to be. We went on a Friday about 7:30pm. We were fortunate to get a table out on the patio as it was extremely loud, difficult to have a conversation inside. The problem was that not 1 but 2 tables were seated after us and got served before us. When our waitress finally came, (we had to ask another waitress to get ours) she took our drink order and started walking away. HOLD ON! We've been waiting and are ready to order. My wife ordered the monthly special, a Smashburger. I ordered a "Rise & Shine" burger. (I love an egg on a burger). Our waitress asked how I wanted it done. I said medium...but not to be...it was well. Ok that's the way it goes when you don't have an overall good experience. The only reason for 2 stars is that my wife's smashburger special was very good. Stopped in to give it a try and didn't expect such a crowd! Many folks were there because it was a Bengals night! We had a short wait, but the staff was friendly. There were two of us dining. I got the chicken tenders with onion straws, and the other person got the buffalo chicken wrap and tater tots. We both ordered unsweetened iced tea. I wasn't a fan of the tea, so I exchanged it for a half sweet half suit. That was really good. We ordered the brussels sprouts as an appetizer and they were absolutely fantastic! Our meals came and my onion straws were cold and not very tasty so I swapped those for tater tots, which were delicious. My chicken tenders were also really good. My friend really enjoyed the wrap and tater tots as well. The service was a little on the slower side but again they were super busy. I will definitely be back since my experience was overall positive. The brussels sprouts are well worth it and I look forward to trying other menu items. I absolutely love 859 taproom and I always recommend this place when I can! It's such a fun sports bar and with even better food and service. I tried their Brussels for the first time and they were soooo good! Can't believe I've been missing out. I also got the chicken wrap but Nashville hot style. Food was outstanding! Pretzel bites were the best I've had in a long time - crispy in the outside and tender and soft inside. My Coach Jones SHEIMP salad was huge, not to mention delicious! I love Boom Boom Shrimp and theirs is excellent! My husband had a Bourbon Burger which was also huge and perfectly cooked. Drink selection is huge! What a fun neighborhood sports bar! When I heard this place boasted NKY's longest beer wall, I knew I needed to check it out ASAP. My husband and I stopped into 859 on a busy Saturday night, but were delighted to learn the bar is full service and open seating. With 60+ beers on tap, it takes a minute to make a selection, but I have to say I love the local representation! Several of my favorite Cincy breweries were available on draft, including Rhinegeist, Madtree, Urban Artifact, and Sonder. Service was fast, and the team was friendly despite being very busy. We ordered the Pretzel Bites and Brussels Sprouts as appetizers, and absolutely loved both of them. The Brussels were crispy, and coated in a maple-bourbon glaze. The Pretzel Bites are served with a warm, ooey-gooey cheese sauce, which complimented them perfectly. For entrees, I ordered the "BBQ Bourbon Waygu Burger," which was absolutely enormous!! The toppings were piled high on top of a juicy patty, and the bun was toasted just the way I like it. My husband tried their Fish and Chips, and loved the thick, beer-batter they're cooked in. Both entrees are served with your choice of fries - meaning it was a struggle to clean our plates, but we definitely did our best. The prices are quite fair for the neighborhood, as well. For two apps, two mains, and four drinks total, we left for less than $100 including tip, which is almost unheard of the closer you are to Cincinnati. We'll definitely return to 859 - most likely to catch a game on one of their many TVs! read more
