wish I could give it zero stars. We had 6 people and spend over $200 with a ticket time of 7:40 pm. We waited in line for over three hours, not getting on the hayride until 11 pm. A few of the scenes were empty and there was almost no one in the field at the end. So we did not even get the full experience they advertised. While waiting in line for over three hours the owner kept coming over the intercom asking us to spend 27 more dollars on an already 40 dollar ticket per person to skip the line. Near the end of the line there was an actor in a gas mask who repeatedly touched multiple members of my family on the face. He touched them over and over even after asking him to stop and tring to move away from him. He said that we signed a waiver and he can touch us if he wants. That if we want to cry about it we are welcome to leave. This was an absolute disappointment of an evening with zero professionalism or accountability. Total crash grab. This is not our first time at Screamtown but it is our first time doing the newer attraction that they call the Abandoned Hayride. It is a separate attraction to Screamtown. You need tickets for both if you want to see both. Tickets have been selling out. They seemed to be pretty organized with the new attraction. You side sideways on a hay wagon that is set up like stadium seating. Only 1 side is open for you to pull up to a scene and watch the show at each stop. They had stories, props and characters that were different all along the way. We all enjoyed our time here. read more

The props are impressive, but the whole experience wasn't very scary. The hayride pulls up to stages and you basically watch a little performance at each. They eventually drop you off for a walk through the woods, which would be better if you could see where you're going. It's so dark that you just spend the whole time trying to navigate the path. The actors are allowed to touch you, which isn't scarier, just annoying. Rubbing someone's head doesn't exactly instill fear. read more

Went for the 1st time tonight. Hayride was way too predictable and allowing riders to have glow sticks and other lighted items caused a blocked view for riders behind them. Plus the only riders that they interacted with were the ones in the outside seats, those of us in the middle were left yawning in boredom. The walk through part was very boring as there were almost no actors to jump out and scare anyone. Wouldn't go on the Hayride again but would like to check out Scream Town. read more

We had soo much fun here last night! Loved all the haunted attractions and the hayride was a lot of fun!

I went here last night with a few of my friends. We drove here from Minneapolis and waited in line for over an hour and a half for the actually drive thru to be 5 minutes. Simply just a waste of time and money. read more

The Abandoned Hayride is a spectacular halloween outing. There was a lot of creative thought into how to create the best possible experience, and it paid off. With a unique hayride setup, you move from one terrifying scene to the next. It's definitely a hands-on experience, with an intense walk thru the woods before you're safe and sound. Highly, highly recommend. And check out Scream Town right next door. Also great. read more

I have been a scare actor for 7 years (not affiliated with this attraction) and an avid haunt/Halloween fan for 30 years. The Abandoned Hayride is hands down one of the best (if not the best) haunt attraction in MN. I usually visit at least 6-8 haunts each year to try and get a feel for what everyone is doing, see the new sets etc. Before 2019 I usually rated The Dead End Hayride as the top, but the production of The Abandoned Hayride beat them out this year. It truly is different than any other haunt, others have tried the "theatrical" haunt attraction and failed. Not this one! You can't beat the value either! I won't give anything away, so take my word for it and GO SEE THIS HAUNT! read more

I don't know who gave this a low rating but I'm from California and I've been to Knott's Scary Farm and other things like that. But this is the scariest, coolest, haunted house, maze, hayride I've ever been on. I mean it's my first hayride..... but I used to work at Knott's Scary Farm and this is way better than that. It's less crowded so u have to enter yourself and cant use the person in front of you for help seeing. Also they're allowed to touch you and it makes it much scarier! read more

A terrible 5-minute drive-through experience after waiting an hour in line. The actors seemed to have given up. Just a handful of scenes and maybe 1-2 jump scares. Waste of money. read more
