They will send out passive aggressive emails, they strictly control what you're allowed to have on your porch/balcony, and they will not treat you with respect. They value the time and money of potential residents much higher than that of current residents no matter how long you've lived there. I was walked in on while asleep and half clothed by maintenance men not once but TWICE without them knocking. This is about as close as you can get to being in an HOA without ever having signed up to be in one. They are strict and often passive aggressive including but not limited to threatening to drain the pools if residents can not "cooperate" with their rules. Children are not allowed in pool areas even with adults. I also frequently had to keep my thermostat around 75 degrees to keep my apartment above a hoodie temp. due to poor insulation. If you care about your money, mental health, and being respected, don't live here. Not only did I not get my security and pet deposits back, they CHARGED me a near ADDITIONAL $2,000 for repairs that sure as hell did not equate to A SECURITY DEPOSIT + A PET DEPOSIT + $2,000 DURING COVID. I didn't leave the place in perfect shape but as someone with family in construction and renovation I guarantee you it was NOT worth that much. What the hell is the point of a deposit at that point? Sure it has a lot of nice reviews but interesting that they're all from 8 years ago, around the time the place was nearly done being built. Likely a promotion ran where they gave some perk to people leaving nice reviews. They're nice at first but the moment you're in there it literally feels like you cannot LIVE there. You have passive aggressive management sending rude letters and emails- to the point now where any notice from a landlord sends my anxiety up the roof, even to this day when I live in a HOUSE now. Management, don't even bother responding to this because I'm not reading your responses. I don't trust you enough to give you my real name, because knowing you, you'd be awful. At this point, I don't trust you to actually be genuine in anything you say. Everything is a nice platitude to get the next lease in your roster so you can rip someone else off. read more

Lived here from 2018-2025. Lived first in one of their studio apartments and then a 1B/1B. Initially no complaints and found it to be a good value for the monthly rent. That has changed since. I believe in late 2023 a new property manager took over. She is very rude and unhelpful with any requests. The emails she sends out to the entire complex has the tone used for scolding children. The complex is now also getting relatively old, with many of the kitchen appliances (and washer/dryer) needing replacements. We had an issue with our dryer and it literally took 3 months and multiple maintenance requests to get it fixed. We also had issues with black mold in all the window sills, around the balcony door, and in the bathroom. Regardless of what kind of anti-mold spray we used, it would quickly return. Long story short, there are many other newer apartment complexes in the surrounding area that offer a much better value, and better living situation. Would highly recommend avoiding this place. read more

I have loved the past year living at The Addison! the features are excellent from a large kitchen, to in-unit washer/dryer, huge walk-in closet, a great balcony and 2 ceiling fans. The community amenities are also great. The 2-story gym have really helped me reach my fitness goals, and the community room is open during office hours for a snack, watching tv, or just hanging out. The management staff puts on events every month which is a great way to bring people together and win great prizes. The pool is great in the summer and there is adequate space for anyone that goes. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here and would recommend it to anyone looking for an apartment! read more

We have lived here for almost two years and have loved it! Lisa, the apartment manager is always so cheerful and willing to help. The maintenance team is extremely responsive to our requests. One even helped me jump my car! The apartment itself is beautiful with high quality features that we love, such as a fireplace, washer/dryer, and dishwasher. We never hear our neighbors. The pool and workout room are always clean and so nice to have!! They give out awesome prizes each month at their monthly social events in the community room. I once won a North face jacket. The Addison is by far the greatest apartment I've lived in. The location is perfect, very safe and quiet yet close enough to the city. The apartments are beautiful and spacious, just like the complex. There is underground parking, a great fitness center, and an adult only pool. The staff is wonderful and timely in fulfilling requests from tenants, and the property manager is always willing to go out of her way to help tenants in any way she can! I have lived in the Addison for 1 year; and it has been so wonderful. I love my cozy apartment and enjoy reading by the fireplace in the evening. The staff have been wonderful, warm, and friendly. Maintenance requests have been responded to immediately. The Fitness area and outdoor pool area is wonderful. I have been a resident at the Addison going on 2 years. When we first moved in, there was only 1 completed building in the complex. Now there are 3 completed buildings with 2 buildings still being constructed. The apartments are all new, so yes they are nice. It's great to have in apartment laundry facilities, but the appliances are not " high end " I don't know how the housing industry defines "luxury" but this is not what I would consider as luxurious. It's new, and it's nice but not luxury unless you have low standards. The first building constructed has copper wiring for its internet connections while the newer buildings have fiber optics, so our internet speed with ATT in this building is slow while the other buildings are not. As for noise levels, things are generally quiet except for the noisy folks above us. The construction is such that you can hear the washing machine above us, the domestic disputes, the loud stereo equipment and the upstairs residents just walking around. If your fortunate to have have considerate folks living above you great, but if you have inconsiderate ones good luck at enjoying serenity. As the complex grows, so does the number of vehicles and the unavailability of surface parking. Surface parking is at a premium and for the rent you pay you should not have to park on the street. As the buildings fill parking will only become more increasingly problematic. No one has mentioned the cost of heat/cooling which the tenant is responsible for. For a new apartment with a footage of a little over 800 sq. ft, be prepared to pay on average $130/mo. We pay more to heat or cool this apartment than we pay for gas and electric to heat our water and heat/cooling our 2000sqft home. Poorly insulated and or inefficient heating/ cooling units. As for Ashley, she does a great job with the monthly activities and is a valuable resource to the complex. As for the manager, she is not available to address problems after her normal working hours or as problems occur, even though she resides in the complex. Not as impressed with the manager as others are..Although it is advertised as a secure building, the original building is accessible to everyone within the complex so I hardly consider that as secure. Being that the complex is somewhat rural one has a sense of being in a safe area within the Madison community. Sorry I'm not as easy to please as the other resident that have rated The Addison and definitely recognize value when I see it. In closing, this is a complex full of millenniums. Only a handful of folks with children, very few baby boomers. Good location being within 15 minutes of the Kohls Center, close to shopping, restaurants etc but not within walking distance of such. read more
