I love arts and crafts so I decided to I wanted to be ambitous and make my own wedding invitations. I bought all my supplies and lined my envelopes, but when it finally came down to how I would design and format my 5 piece invitation, I went into panic mode. I am not too confident with word processing let alone had any patience to make everything fit where it should while making it all look good. At that point I found Craig who assured me he could format all the words for me so that it was proportioned and had a nice flow and font. Craig got a good grasp of what I wanted and envisioned for my invitations and he even had suggestions to make it extra special. Granted we had at least 6 drafts made mostly due to spelling errors on my part, it just showed that he was very patient and willing to work with me. I think he and his wife are running a very special business and I encourage any bride, DIY or not, to reach out to either of them for ideas and inspiration on thier own invitations. Being somewhat naive to wedding planning, I honestly had no idea what to budget for invitations - and was a little surprised at the quotes I was receiving. Aerialist press had very straightforward quotes and many different options to fit a range of budgets. I worked with Alexandra on creating our invitations and she was super responsive and super sweet the whole time - she made me feel as if I was her only customer (but I certainly know that's not true! She offered suggestions when appropriate and was more than willing to make changes whenever I asked. We were quoted ~2 weeks for processing and delivery once all details were finalized - however our suite came much quicker than expected which was a pleasant surprise. I love The Aerialist Press! Like many other reviewers, I fell in love with letterpress but thought it was well out of our budget for our wedding invitations. I spent hours looking at dozens of websites and reviews but didn't find anything I liked in our price range until I found The Aerialist Press. Not only are their prices affordable, but their designs are beautiful. I fell in love with mine (the Clare suite) right away, but they offer a wonderful variety of designs for every type of wedding. Alexandra is fantastic to work with and did an amazing job with our save dates and wedding invitations. I live in DC, so we're on opposite coasts, but this was never an issue. Alexandra is incredibly patient and responsive, and she made this process virtually stress-free for me. We had so many compliments on our save the dates, and we just received our invitations today. They are even better than we imagined. We are so happy with them, and their prices are so reasonable, that we're using The Aerialist Press for our day of stationary as well. My fiancé rarely gets excited about any of the wedding details, but even he was thrilled with our invitations. We cannot recommend them highly enough! read more

I came to the aerialist press for our wedding invites, escort cards and menus. Working during the wedding invite process was a breeze. Alex worked with us in making important decisions on how to best word and design our invites. They came out fabulous. During our initial meeting I specifically mentioned wanting to do our menus, escort cards, programs and sweets tags as well. It was very important that we had the same design and look as our wedding invites. I wanted a picture to show the suite we used in our wedding album... Forward a few weeks later when I contact Alex about making the day of materials. Our reply cards were filtering in and they were all to come back ideally by the date printed September 10th. This was intentional as it would give us more time to finalize our menus, who was coming, program materials for our October 5th wedding. when i talked to Alex about this timeline she seemed good with it, even though my planner suggested I wait even longer for the RSVP, thank god I didn't. When I contacted Alex she stated that they were going to be out of town from september 19-october 17th, 2013 and if we wanted anything we would need to pay a $250 rush fee. Or another option would be to pay for the digital file and get the materials printed else where. Well i really wanted to work with them to keep that consistent look i previously mentioned and i wanted letterpress, so it didnt leave me with many options (she only gave me the name of a digital printer). She later waived the fee since "they could do one more black only order" but in order to do so they needed everything by September 10th (the day our RSVPs were due). I felt so rushed to make these haste decisions that we forgot a few guests names and the menu came out inconsistent (inconsistent capitalization-on the suite example and our invites the headlines were all capital and the other font was all smaller). Our whole invite was specifically centered around the font. I feel with going through them you are paying for a style, and capitlization should have been mentioned and considered, since its what was used for our invites and shown on their website. We also went without a program since we didnt have the time to write it out. I just wish I had a few more days to sit on things. Everything just felt so rushed, I will give credit that Alex sent multiple proofs discussing wording, but I totally missed the capitalization piece. Its totally our fault since we approved the proof, yet, i cant help but feel like both sides were rushed, thus, leading to a inconsistent product. I emailed Alex asking if i could even get the digital prints so I could edit myself and possibly print, but there was no response. The week before my wedding was spent photoshopping guests names using other escort cards lettering so they could look similar, granted the paper didn't match (thank god my husband was able to do this). I'm just really bummed and feel like aerialist press should have explained from our initial meeting that their being out of town would not be realistic for for RSVPing by September 10th OR that they had a planned holiday and if I intended to have more materials made it might not be possible so we would need to submit sooner. Had I of known this I would have considered other options. They make beautiful letterpress, but when you spend that much $$$ on stationary for a once in a lifetime event I expect perfection. It really unfortunate because i truly believe had I not felt rushed by this unexpected deadline the work would have been perfect... read more

I was able to get personalized couture letter pressed invites for the price of most generic ones elsewhere. So happy!!! You just can't match the beauty of letterpress - it makes for stunning invitations. I had my letterpress wedding invitations (invite, response card, reception card) designed and printed by The Aerialist Press. I was absolutely thrilled with the quality, and have been receiving rave reviews from guests since we mailed them out last week. You will not get more bang for your buck on letterpress invitations anywhere else. Our only minor issue was that the response envelopes didn't come in the original package, but when I realized it and emailed them, the envelopes were at my house the next day. The customer service was outstanding all the way through the process- I don't think they ever took longer than a couple of hours to respond to any one of my emails. I am sooooo thankful to the Aerialist Press for helping us create exceptional wedding invitations! We worked with Caitlyn, and she was endlessly patient, exceptionally professional, polite, warm and accommodating. She was concise, prompt and on the ball in all of her responses. We worked off of one of their stock designs (the one with the San Francisco skyline), but we changed it to a different skyline (per our location).
