He even threw in these little globes with a red rose in them to go with our Beauty & the Beast theme and I can't believe how beautiful everything turned out. All I can say is thank you to Chris and his team! I live in San Francisco and reached out to Big Bang Events for my brother and sister-in-laws baby shower, I was throwing for the new expectant parents in Sacramento. I trusted in Chris, let him know it was an Alice in Wonderland theme and from there everything flourished. I don't even know bakeries in the area and Chris gave me the name of the baker in Galt, 'Something Sweet Bakery' and who to speak with, he made everything so easy. We met with Chris at the suggestion of our venue. Wow, was that a great lead! From our first meeting we totally felt like they got us, understood the esthetic we wanted and would pull off an epic, elegant look for our Anniversary and Vow Renewal. The Big Bang hit a home run, their arrangements were gorgeous and used exactly the colors we wanted. Their table design was flawless, the lighting was amazing. Walking into the venue, the Firehouse in Old Sac, set for a sit down dinner and ceremony for 170 on the patio was the most amazing thing. Just taking it all in, everyone at the party had complements for the flowers, candles and decorations and the whole mood they set. I can't imagine ever using anyone else for an event in the future. What can I say?! My wedding was beautiful!! Truly unique, artistic and nothing short of exquisite. Chris is an artist. He has talent galore and is a fun, charismatic and entertaining person. He stands behind his work and is going to get the job done right! So...why not 5 stars you ask?! Well, although the end result was perfect (which is definitely the main thing), the process could have been easier. Maybe it is just my type A personality, but it wasn't always easy working with Chris. Emails would often not be answered or answered with one short sentence days later. I felt I was annoying them when I wanted to change or add things (even when my first venue cancelled and I was forced to start over.) There were some battles over the rules of my new venue which really caused me a lot of stress and were completely unnecessary. It was just always a bit more effort on my part then I felt was warranted when, after all, I was paying him to do a job for me. The end result was, going into it my wedding day, I didn't have that feeling of confidence I really wanted. That said, the day of my wedding, the flowers, the decor, the execution was flawless!! No detail was forgotten, it was beyond beautiful!! I was so happy with all of his work. Because of this I thought about not even mentioning the other stuff, but it was almost a year of frustration on my part, so I think brides should be prepared that if they are control freaks like I am, they are in for a bit of a headache. But it was WELL worth the end result!! I would book him again in a heartbeat and would just be prepared to feel like a nag haha. read more

I loved working with Chris! He really exceeded my expectations. What is so great about him is that he isn't just a florist, he is a designer. He really has a eye for design and decoration. I showed him pictures of what I wanted and he delivered. My bouquet flowers were so beautiful and dramatic. I really wanted something that was grand and not cookie cutter. My bridesmaid bouquets were also way more beautiful than I expected. We also ordered chargers to make the tables look more complete. The centerpieces were perfect. We had floating candles and normal candles with flowers intermixed. And the flowers lasted for almost 2 weeks! He also covered our cake in a cascade of flowers which was so spectacular! I have never seen so many flowers on a cake a one time:) We also rented a runner for the church from Chris which was beautful. He made pretty bows out of ribbon for the isles and decorated the candelabras up front with flowers.
