Not only it is a super cool field with a mix of trees / built obstacles / walls, but it is extremely well run. 16 10 year old boys is a lot, but this place is run by a dad of 5 boys and his sons so he knows how to handle a lot of high energy boys. He made it fun but safe. The rules were very clear. All of the boys had such a great time!! They did multiple rounds with different games and objectives which kept the kid all entertained. I think everyone's favorite was the kids vs parents where all the parents got to go on the field. Great picnic table setup perfect to bring and have cupcakes / pizza etc. they supplied plenty of water and there is a bathroom right next to the field. Highly highly recommend!!! I'm ready to go back and do a parents only event ;)

Its a really long drive from San Francisco, but if your planning a surprise date and want to really throw your loved one off, what better than paintball in the middle of nowhere! The owners are a riot, they themselves are worth the drive! I'm no pro when it comes to paint-ball, but apparently most fields don't allow rental guns to run on pre-purchased paint - Action Paintball does allow it, I was actually encouraged by the guy when talking on the phone them. Not only can you bring your own paint, but they also allow some guy to sell & rent higher grade paintball equipment in their parking lot! After a thorough discussion last night, we concluded that Action Paintball will receive 5-stars. I honestly hadnt been paintballin in years and never on a course in the hills with thick trees. We drove up around 9:30, rented all the gear and got started around 10am. I was able to rent a gun, mask, belt for extra paintballs and a big bag of paintballs for $40. The first two games we got our royal ass kicked. Like the game was over in 5-10 minutes. I even got shot right between the eyes, didnt even know the guy was there. But as the games went along we found our groove and started to dominate. I never died the last 8 games and my buddies and I were working together as a finely tuned machine. Dont get me wrong, I did get hit a couple times in the arm(left a nice bruise), but the paintball didnt explode so I was able to continue. I enjoyed the different courses they had. Also enjoyed how some of the courses were out in the open and some were through the thick trees. After every two rounds you can walk to your truck and grab some water/snack. We didnt get done until a little after 4. So for $40 you get to play all day and rent equipment. That is a pretty good price for all day fun. I also recommend wearing camo of some sort because you can really blend in and either sneak up on people or have them walk right to you because they dont see you. Anyway, it was a kick ass time and we are already wanting to come back again. P.S. I was horrifically sore for a few days afterwards and my feet were killing me. Am I a wuss? Probably. But did I look tough in camo? HELL YES!!!

This place was so much fun! My kids and husband had a blast, we had no problem at all using our Groupon and the customer service was spot on, they answered every single question that all 5 of my boys could possibly think of, they even calmed our nerves when we saw a ton of players arrive in riot gear. They actually let us play a private game instead. So grab your kids, pack a lunch and go play! You'll love it!

For their normal operations, the guest fee is $5 which is very reasonable (you can feed the "FROG") Guests park down the hill but it's a short walk up. There's practice range where you can practice or tune your bow to different ranges from 30 to 100 yards. Memberships are $180 per person or family. If we lived closer, I would consider it but $5 per guest is great. For the 3D shoot, it's $10 per person, it's the 3rd Saturday of every month from 8AM to 12pm and so worth it! I appreciated that the range masters were welcoming and friendly. The trails are very well maintained. They do warn of rattlesnakes and I saw a rattlesnake skin on the trail so be careful. We'll definitely be back!

Having such a positive experience with him made me really enjoy archery and feel excited to continue learning. And of course, his adorable dog Masha was an added bonus! She's always with him and is absolutely sweet! The range itself is beautiful, quiet, and peaceful. The volunteers do a fantastic job keeping everything maintained, and the targets are in great shape. I really like how the range is set up, with opportunities to shoot both uphill and downhill. There are also 3D targets I'm so glad I started my archery journey here! The range is volunteer based, so donations are a great way to support all the hard work that goes into maintaining it. I'll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend this range, especially if you're new to archery and looking for a place to learn!

Once we started shooting, the instructor would check in periodically with helpful tips, such as how long to hold the draw and adjusting my aim when my arrows were consistently landing high. I really enjoyed archery itself, although I wasn't especially impressed with the instructional aspect of the class. The guidance was helpful, but I would have appreciated more hands-on coaching throughout the lesson. My biggest criticism is that I think a beginner archery class should provide arm guards or, at the very least, strongly recommend them. As someone completely new to the sport, I didn't even know arm guards were standard equipment. As a result, my forearm ended up badly bruised and inflamed from the bowstring. After doing some research, I now understand how easily this can be prevented. I'll definitely make sure any future lessons or equipment rentals include an arm guard, but I think beginners should be informed about this before they start.

If you join the club you might get a chance to shoot at the 500 yard and 1000 yard when you join the ranks of bring qualified to join the ranks it is the only range i will go in the area. Together we've been to an indoor range in North Highlands that ai frequent, and the Mather shooting range before it closed. We came out here on a Sunday after so she could test out her new pistol, and so we could my rifles on the rifle side of the range. We checked in the main shop area, and picked up a speed loader and extra disposable ear plugs. And then eventually went out to the pistol range first. Both the pistol and long gun range alike, have a large number of shooting bags each. And each have a good range distance for shooting, wapwxially the rifle range. Definitely will be coming back for more outdoor shooting, and look forward to some long range shooting as well.
