We called because of low water pressure at our kitchen sink. JD spoke to me on the phone and suggested we take off the aerator screen to check for blockage and to call him back if that didn't fix it. Was unsuccessful with that so I called him back. He said he would have his technician (Jerry) contact us which he did that afternoon. He ended up being able to come check it out the next morning. He was able to clean out faucet and take care of the problem. He also checked my showers and bathroom sinks, cleaning them as well. JD called to see how things were going and also offered some additional advice for us. I would HIGHLY recommend 24HR Arctic Services. Came out after 9pm and charged regular rate which was nice. My furnace was out and water heater cracked and leaking (won't stop). He fixed the the furnace, but didn't stop the water leak. : ( Now i have to either call the owner tomorrow afternoon or someone else in the morning. 3/5 appreciative, but disappointed. read more

JD is really professional. He is the only Hvac service that would answer the phone call after 6 p.m. in the area. I had him come over to repair my central heater system last August and today, for 2 different issues. He accommodated to address minor problems over the phone and he would come in only when something needs to be done by a professional. He works in a very professional way and very knowledgeable. He took time to diagnose the problem and fixed the issue. Very honest and believes in repeat customers vs what other big names in the area do. We had a pipe burst underneath the house, called JD and he was out here in no time. He was awesome, for a plumber to come out on the weekend, I did consider him very reasonable. We have had a pipe underneath our building leaking hot water for about a month, it was a mess down there. We were so impressed with him that we not only had the emergency repair we hired him for additional plumbing needs. He is professional, courteous and very hard-working. After purchasing a Groupon for furnace inspection and water heater tune-up, made an appt as directed. No one showed up for the appt, and when called the number listed, voice mail recording told me to call the number I just dialed for immediate or emergency response. That should have been my first clue. Left a msg for someone to call me back, no response. Called the next morning to get the same vmail msg and left another msg. That afternoon JD Berry called me back and explained he had been working on an emergency call for someone who had no hot water. Fair enough. He wasn't in a position to make an appt at that moment but promised to call back & re-book the appt. After a week of no return call, and seeing he had arranged another discount deal through Living Social, I called again. JD Berry's unenthusiastic response was "oh yeah, I meant to call". Not impressed. We booked another appt. On that date after 20 min of no-show at the appt time, I called - again no answer. However he did call back shortly after that to inform me he was at Hospital Emergency. Expressing concern, he assured me it was nothing serious and "he meant to call". We re-booked the appt. On the day of the third appt, I called 2 hrs ahead of time to ensure he was coming to which he unenthusiastically replied yes. 15 min past the 6pm appt time he called to explain he was on the other side of town, and was stopping for dinner before getting to my house. At that point I was just happy that he was actually coming. When he showed up an hour past the appt time he spent 10-15 min providing the service I purchased through Groupon. He found a $400 issue with the furnace, nothing with the water heater. Rather than arrange for him to fix the furnace issue, I told him I wanted to speak with a friend formerly in the business first, but would be in touch if I could not get a 'deal' through my friend. The next morning, after not using any hot water the night before, I returned from the gym to discover I had no hot water at all for a shower. Inspecting the water heater in a very aggitated mood proved the pilot light was out. I was not able to light it, and late for work, I went back to the gym to shower. Fortunately a co-worker was able to assist me mid-morning and I had hot water again by 5pm. It seemed very coincidental that for the first time in 6 yrs of living in my home that the pilot light went out after his visit. JD Berry had no respect for my time and I feel that he has over-extended himself with all the Groupon and Living Social deals that he has arranged. I don't ever want to meet him again. read more

JD was such a great find. Imagine realizing that your home suddenly felt oddly chilled. Then add onto that a husband that is out of the country. Then add on that you're heading out for your own work trip the next day. Then add on that it is well into the evening ... to make a long story short, JD answered my call and brought relief. He convinced me that I could wait until the next day for service if I could have a friend help with access to our home. So, the next day I left a cold home with a thank you note on the counter. If there was any way to give more stars, I most definitely would. My house was 59 degrees Sunday morning. After contacting 3 or 4 plumbers, to no avail, I found 24hr Arctic Services. Seeing a 5-star rating I decided to call them. They came over around 1 p.m. I have a Knight high efficiency boiler. (Which I do NOT recommend. Way too complicated even for the pros.) The boiler kept locking out no matter what they did. JD, the owner, drove in from the Valley to assess the situation. He had the technician, Jerry (great guy) stay and keep resetting the boiler so I could get some heat. They were here for several hours diagnosing the problem. They weren't charging me for the standby time. They got the boiler up and running at least enough to get my house back up to a reasonable temperature, even though still chilly. It was finally determined that new sensors were needed. Of course the only places to get these sensors were closed on Sunday we would have experience a cold night. But this was in no way their fault. (Crappy boiler. Don't buy a Knight). JD went home and researched the issue on the internet. He said there were only 2 known internet blogs that related to the issues we were having. Monday morning JD tried to contact the manufacturer, but to no avail. They were closed for the holidays. He contacted the local sensor reps and had a lengthy discussion about the problem. They all agreed instead of replacing the "motherboard" (about $800), new sensors would probably fix the problem. The sensors cost about $30 apiece. JD installed the new sensors and boiler was back up and running. Now the biggest reasons for the 5 stars. As I said earlier, they were here a long time. Not all hours were billed at time and half. Or billed at all. They were much more concerned of solving the conundrum than nickel and diming me to death for standby time. JD actually loved the challenge of trying to fix the problem more than the money itself. They did not abandon me!!!! I am completely satisfied and understand that they did all they could do on Sunday night. Not their fault they couldn't fix it, though they tried like the dickens to. I have had contact with numerous, numerous plumbing firms over the years, both professionally and unfortunately personally too. I do not say this lightly, BY FAR AWAY, THE ABSOLUTE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED. PLUMBER OR NOT!!! THEY ACTUALLY CARED!!! read more
