UPDATE: I was emailed December 2nd and told that I would receive a refund via Venmo. It is now…read moreJanuary and I still have not received a refund despite sending a follow up inquiry via email. I am really saddened to post a negative review about a local business. My daughter started ballet at the conservatory about seven months ago when she was still four. In the beginning she loved going and would twirl around the house and dream of being a ballerina. A little after five she moved up to the next class level. The new class was a bit more challenging, and went from 45 minutes to an hour, but she was still enjoying it and learning a lot. Everything went downhill when tryouts for the Nutcracker began. Firstly, we needed to pay $20 for tryouts, which did not seem right to me since tryouts were held during her regular class time that we were paying for. After she was given a role, the classes switched to 1.5 hours. That is a VERY long time for a 5 year old, and they are given only one or two very brief breaks for water during this time. The lighthearted feel of the class disappeared and most of the young girls are visibly exhausted at the end. My daughter started to dread going and admitted to me that it is no longer fun for her. She said she is dreading Christmas because she knows she has to keep practicing for the Nutracker, and she hates the long classes and that she isn't allowed more water breaks. When I emailed the conservatory to tell them we wanted to cancel, I asked about getting a refund for the $100 Nutracker fee. Originally I was told it was for the cost of the costume, which she has not yet been fitted for, so I did not think it would be an issue. However, I was told this cost will not be refunded because it is for "production fee costs." The only thing she has received is grueling 1.5 hour classes that we did not want in the first place. I was also told that I will not receive even a partial fee for the monthly tuition costs despite the fact that she will not be attending any classes this month. I was also informed that they will be making adjustments to classes, and if she comes and finishes out the month they may consider a nutcracker fee refund. At this point my daughter has had ballet ruined for her so it is a bit late for that. Overall I feel the young students are being pushed beyond what is appropriate so that the studio can have their Nutcracker performance. Again, I don't love leaving a negative review for a local business but I think other's need to consider this when enrolling a young child at this studio.

This was my second time coming to The Skull Museum. The first time was at their old location and…read moreI'm honestly blown away by how beautiful the new space is. It's super spacious, bright, and thoughtfully laid out. They have an art gallery area, a section dedicated to displaying skulls, and even a break room space for everyone. I also loved how easy their website made the booking process. Being able to see each artist's work, pricing, and availability all in one place made it really convenient to plan and schedule time off. I was looking to finish my half sleeve and came across Christian Gonzalez's work on their site. I was immediately impressed and knew I had to book with him. I texted the number listed on the website and connected with Mackenzie, who was incredibly responsive, friendly, and quick to answer all my questions. She made the process really smooth, and I was able to secure an appointment about two weeks out! When I arrived, the whole staff was welcoming and friendly. Christian was professional, easy to talk to, and really took the time to understand my inspiration. He worked with me to design something that would flow well with a previous tattoo I already had, doing his best to blend everything together so it looked cohesive. He made sure I liked the design, adjusted details with me, and carefully worked on placement before we started. I got there right when they opened, and after discussing the design and him drawing everything out, we started around noon and wrapped up around 6pm. It's definitely a full day session, so bring snacks and maybe a zip up because it gets a little cold in there! Christian was incredibly gentle with the tattoo and constantly checked in to make sure I was comfortable or needed a break. He charges $1300 for a full day and in my opinion he is absolutely worth it!! I felt comfortable the entire time and I'm in love with how the tattoo turned out. I'll definitely be coming back to finish my sleeve and for any future work. If you're thinking about getting tattooed at The Skull Museum, JUST DO IT! and definitely check out Christian! Thanks again!!!

She's grown so much as a dancer and a person, taking multiple styles of dance along with Baton and being part of the Teen Competition Team. The instructors are amazing -- supportive, talented, and truly care about every student's progress. The studio feels like a second home, and the environment is positive, encouraging, and family-oriented. We highly recommend El Dorado Dance Academy to anyone looking for a place where dancers can thrive, build confidence, and be part of an incredible community.

Front desk staff also rarely knows anything and you will rarely get a good answer. Most of my answers were from either parents who "attended last year as well" or even driving up to the studio and realizing that they are closed. The only communication you get promptly is for the money they are charging or the change in their payment system asking you to update your payment info so they can regularly process your payments. Shame! Also there is a lot of favoritism and kiss-ass behavior even at 3-4-5 year levels that it amazes me and blows my mind. Also their end of year concert is a big hoax and a great way for the studio owners to mint money be it via event participation fees, outfits, photoshoots, event tickets etc.
