I had to park on a dusty hillside and got stuck (but didn't realize it until after dark!). someone with a 4 wheel drive truck pulled me out, but my car was filthy and covered with dirt and weeds. Other cars were stuck too. The party was loud and crowded and there weren't enough bathrooms for everyone. The bathrooms smelled like urine. The music was way too loud, so loud in fact, that the sheriff showed up. After the sheriff left, the music was turned up even more which made me very uncomfortable. I couldn't even talk to anyone because of the volume. I do not recommend this place for parties. It was poorly planned, very unprofessional, with no respect for our hard working police. Do not book a party here. Do not go to a party here! It was a complete disaster!

Our bartender was great she was friendly had some great conversations with us and made the visit there that much better. We learned a lot about the area and found out she was originally not to far from where we are from. They have a great selection of beers and drinks, oysters and even have veggie dogs for the vegetarians out there. If you're in the area check this place out it's cozy and made for you to stay a while. Definitely want to come back up here and visit again.

They have vacation rentals in Humboldt County in Trinidad, Arcata, and McKinleyville. We have only stayed in ones in Trinidad. Trinidad holds a special place in my heart and I absolutely love this quaint beach town! They have several properties in Trinidad that overlook the ocean and the views are absolutely stunning so you can pick the ones that works the best for you. Some of the properties also have a hot tub if that is something that you are looking for. They have dog friendly vacation rentals as well, which is important to us because we love going on mini vacations with our dog. Trinidad is such a beautiful area for a getaway and to have mindful moments to take in the natural beauty that surrounds you! We absolutely loved watching the sunsets and enjoying wine in the evenings! Trinidad is truly a magical place! The only negatives are that more and more people are discovering Trinidad so the prices in the area of bed and breakfasts and vacation rentals have gone up. Also, I don't love the fees that are associated with vacation rentals and the rules. Overall though, Trinidad is a beautiful place to stay and if you are looking for your own private oasis, Trinidad Retreats has some amazing properties to stay at!

The inside of the house was spacious but out dated and dirty. I laid my arm over the back of one of the couches only to be met with tons of spider webs in the couch! The fireplace was broken, the pool table was broken and the bbq outside didn't work either. The dining room with all the drawings all over featured male genitals as well as nazi symbols. I saw a tiny handwritten sign of indoor racquet club below the usual official sign of the fairground and thought someone was playing a practical joke. One day after unsuccessfully trying to look inside the only possible place for the indoor courts, I met an actual member of the Pickleball Racquet Club of Del Norte county. He introduced me to a whole another beautiful side of Del Norte County Fairground. I joined the membership and had several rounds of excellent Pickleball and met new friends! There is also an actual rodeo ground and barns with horses! Just these two things earned the five stars. If you don't have a gym membership, look into joining the only indoor racquetball game in town. You can play at anytime of the day and night.

My wife, her mom, and I stopped by their community center and found it to be a quiet place to visit, with plenty of parking and easy access to the Pacific Ocean. Manila, California was founded in the early 1900's, named after the capital of the Philippines. After the defeat of the Spanish fleet at the Battle of Manila (effectively ending the Spanish rule over its colony in 1898), up to 12 towns in the U.S. were named Manila. This community center was initially built in the 50's as an elementary school, and later converted into a center that now houses a Montessori school and Manila Community District. It has a large children's playground with jungle gyms and slides, plenty of car parking, accessible restrooms from the outside, along with an outdoor basketball court with two baskets. It is also close to the Manila Dunes Recreation Area, with sandy trails leading to the shoreline. My wife noticed the street address of the center (1611), which has significance as the founding year of the first university in the Philippines (University of Santo Tomas). It's a special point of pride for my wife's mom, since that is her alma mater.
