    A turtle saying hi!
    Alicia M.

We love going places that we can sit close to the water & this place is definitely there! It has a great atmosphere & everyone seemed to be having a great time watching a game! We had the puppy basket (hush puppies) Monte Cristo sandwich with onion rings & blackened grilled chicken sandwich with waffle fries. We enjoyed our visit & our server was so sweet & helpful. The margaritas & bloody Mary's passed the test! lol

Stopped by for dinner and was seated right away. We had a party of four and everyone enjoyed their meals. The jalapeño poppers were a nice appetizer as they were not spicy and the bacon was crispy. My BLT chicken wrap is highly recommended as the chicken was very flavorful! The wings were good as well! It took a while to get the food but the ambience and the sunset made up for it !

Food was excellent. Service on the deck was not good. New operation. Appeared to be understaffed. We'll try again in a few weeks...

Fun view of Eagle Mountain, and a short cruise from West Bay Marina . Great atmosphere, and the best docks for boats !

Food was good and fried! Love the theme and ambiance! Large enough for groups and lots of outdoor seating with a lake view.

Well, our last visit might be our last visit. When you have to get your own drink from the bar…read morebecause it's been sitting there getting warm while your server is on his phone, and when your food is finally served it's overly salty and room temperature, maybe it's time to go elsewhere. I know new owners took over within the last year, and we were hopeful the changes would be good. They've added trivia night and music bingo night (common schtick stuff to bring in business), there are a lot of new faces (staff and patrons), and prices have gone up while service and food quality are going down. Here's a business model idea: instead of packing the place with the karaoke night crowd, provide proper training for your staff to ensure stand-out food and service--that'll pack the place with regulars (like we used to be) who become the bread and butter of your establishment.

I came in not expecting much but I loved it!…read more The service, food, and food was all great. We sat down at the bar for a little lake-side lunch date and had the pleasure of being served by the lovely bartender (wish I could remember her name). I ordered a mule and grilled chicken sandwich (yum) and my partner had some beers and a fried fish plate. The portion sizes are huge which of course we loved and the menu pricing is totally reasonable too. If I find myself close by, I'll definitely be stopping be again! Perhaps on the patio next time. :)

The Peak appears to be a fairly new restaurant since the oldest reviews are 1 year old and the most current was 9 month ago. It is definitely a Sports Bar but with a very well defined menu of Nepalese delicacies. The interior is well thought out to represent a sports facility. There are TV's every wall, and a large bar area. The background music is based on the culture. There was an extensive menu selection which we needed to Google to identify the items. My sponsor ordered familiar Shrimp Biryani which did not turn out to be just standard. I ordered a noodle soup Thukpa a Tibetan dish with cabbage, carrots and spinach and protein of chicken. For a side we ordered Naan. My sponsor needed to cool her Biryani sauce. I found the Thukpa a refreshing and new flavor. The staff were very nice and attentive. The acoustics were hard to work around and maintain a pleasant conversation.

I thought maybe it was because of takeout, so I decided to dine in before leaving a review. This time, I went to the restaurant and ordered the momo platter (fried, kothe, steamed, and chili momo). The chili momo was a no-go for me since it was mixed with ketchup, making it too sweet and overpowering. The rest were just okay, not bad, but lacking flavor. The wrap is too thick and the two achars (red chili and regular momo achar) were also pretty average. I also tried the jhol momo, but again, the momo wasn't juicy or flavorful, and the achar was just mid. Dining in didn't change much from my takeout experiences. Service was great and the restaurant itself is nice but the momos aren't it. I'll probably try other dishes next time instead.

Pro tip -- yes, they serve breakfast. Ask Chuck for the Lake Water Special ;)…read more This is not 4 stars because the food is life-changing. Lake life service. The food is... fine. Exceptionally average. But that's not the point. This place is a lake day core memory waiting to happen. You'll tell your kids about it one day the same way your dad still talks about the gas station burrito stand from '92. Don't walk in with Michelin expectations -- this is an RV park dockside spot. The magic is in the accessories: 1) Bring good friends, and maybe a dog named Bean. 2) Order a sweet tea the size of a paint bucket. 3) Pull up on your boat and let the sunburn do the seasoning. If you're giving this place a bad review, you're not passing the vibe check. This isn't about culinary excellence -- it's about soaking up lake water, light beer, and questionable decisions with a side of fries. I got the grilled cheese. American cheese, white bread, butter. Something to go in your stomach for $5. TL;DR -- This place has Big D Energy if you do.
