We came in thinking that there were some great specials for Thursday night, only to find out the post I had seen was a fake. Our server took pity on us and gave us the discounted price on my margarita!. We arrived about 5:40 and were about the only customers. The chips were good and the salsa (love the individual bowls!) had just enough bite. Hubby had the chicken fajitas and says they were very good. It came with nice sized sides of rice and beans. I had the sour cream chicken enchiladas with rice and they were REALLY good- the sauce had great taste and the rice was fluffy and flavorful. The frozen margarita initially tasted of mix, but it grew on me the further down the glass I got. Haha! Service was good, but the ambience was a little lacking.

This one of a kind family owned restaurant has everything you would Love in a restaurant. Outdoor patios full bar and great food like grandma used to make. In the heart of downtown Fort Worth located at 1301 E. Bluff St., Fort Worth, TX 76102

Never had bad food here, although one time the red sauce on cheese enchiladas was a puddle of grease. The margarita mix is sometimes inconsistent on what they charge you, for example every time I go the "large" margarita is in a different cup. Check out my other pic of keto stuffed avocados and the margarita glass was the old school shape. I love schooner margs or I suppose pint glasses. Salsa is amazing here, but service is usually slow, they had 2 waitresses for the entire place last time I went on a weekend. Drink refills will be slow, my friend was charged the same price for a frozen margarita in a tiny clear solo cup as me getting a bigger one on the rocks in a fancy glass. They host Lotería on Saturday nights now. This place is in an old house so the ambience is a house with wooden tables in a converted living room or something, plenty of space on their new patio / deck out front and on the side of the building too! Pretty large seating capacity!

Saturday afternoon with the fam and it's National Margarita Day--we need margaritas! Instead of choosing one of the many big, well-known Tex-Mex restaurants, we decided to try Tia's for a first time visit. The restaurant is located in the childhood home of the owner, Linda C across the street from Cowtown Brewery. There's a cute dining area adjacent to the front door. As you enter, to the left there's a bar area with high top tables and chairs. The main dining area feels like you're in Linda's home--comfortable and relaxing. The wait staff are very friendly and attentive. As a matter of fact, Linda was our server for the day. I had the chicken enchiladas verde with the fixings and a cold Modelo. Wife and daughter both had salads--one steak and one chicken. My enchiladas were delicious--just enough cheese and sauce. Cooked to perfection. The salads were described as very good. As a special treat, Linda graciously spoke with us about her family--many that work there with her as well as her memories of growing up in the neighborhood. We really enjoyed her stories as she made us feel like one of the family. We are definitely coming back to enjoy the food and great fellowship! Soon the backyard stage and tequila bar will be in full swing once Spring arrives in the Town of the Cow.

Mother & I at Tia's On The Bluff. I miss her dearly, she passed away on 10MAY2023.

It is in a terrible location with no parking except on the street. The food and staff were not good. I do not recommend this place.

What is not to love? As we're celebrating our 55th anniversary this month we were presented with a lovely, complementary sparkly rose. As today is Cinco de Mayo a Margarita was in order and the house pour was lovely. We shared a bottle of California Sauvignon Blanc to accompany the Ceviche Tatemado followed by the Tacos de Barbacoa which is the Tuesday lunch special. Both the ceviche and barbacoa tacos were just so enjoyable. The striped bass and octopus ceviche here is a unique preparation that sings in the tangy lime and Serrano vinaigrette in which it is prepared. The barbacoa is so flavorful and tender; and the thin, house made flour tortilla is fried crispy on the flat top before being filled. So good.

Servers provided a great experience aside from a bunch of flies (ate outside on the patio and were waving at flys most of the night). Three stars for the prices. We are an entirely vegetarian meal with no alcohol and paid $400 for a party of six...and we were sharing (yes, you read that correctly). $13 for a side of Mexican rice. $18 for essentially a side mashed potatoes. $16 for grilled vegetables. And the portions were SMALL. We were sharing across four adults and three kids and everyone only ended up getting a tiny amount. It was really difficult believing we were receiving any real value...it felt like the Don and figured out how to have unsuspecting guests pay double! It to say this isn't a legit high-end Mexican restaurant, it is. But I would more realistically describe it as a high-end steak house with wrap-around Mexican dishes (which explains why the side prices were so extreme). Kids quesadillas with steak were $17 a piece with no sides other than potato chips (a little odd given the context). Anyway, I'll end it where I began...food was good, servers were great...but just not worth the price. If the bill had been half or the portions were larger, it would have felt like we were actually getting value for our money.

Very chic and trendy great place for photo ops catching up with a friend or having a date night. I had the sirloin fajitas for lunch. We tried the corn and flour tortillas. Waterfall outside for cute photos definitely loved it. The Service was on point. I ordered take out and sat at the bar while I waited for my entree.Ordered two drinks while I waited, got the one at the top of the menu and a skinny margarita and they tasted exactly the same ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ they got the job done and were fine. Food: I got the enchiladas three ways with steak. You can take the regular three sauces or choose just one if you'd like. Green sauce is the best, white sauce is pretty good, and the red mole is fine but I wish I would have swapped it out with the spicy almost (orange) sauce that comes with the seafood enchiladas. That sauce looks so good! My partner did not like the red sauce at all, again I thought it was fine just not amazing like the other two. Beans and rice are good, nothing special. Nothing wrong with the chips and salsa just run of the mill. Other thoughts: I wish I had just ate my food at the bar instead of ordering take out. Bar seats are comfortable, views of a tv for anyone sitting at the bar, and it's just a nice comfortable atmosphere in there. The hostess and bar tenders I interacted with provided great service.

They're your typical trendy taco place, with their own selection of merchandise and crazy/cheesy jokes strewn about on t-shirts and signage. They have an ample bar space, but it looked like only one patron was interested in that; the rest of us were there to eat. You order your food at the counter and get a buzzer to come back and pick it up. The staff is friendly enough, but you don't really interact with them much since it's all pretty much self service after you go to the counter. The drink station has cane sugar based sodas; it's a bit heavy on the foam, but otherwise good. We opted for the birria pizza, a couple of cups of pozole, and a side of elote. Everything was solid. The elote was good, not great, but the pozole really hit the spot given how cold it was outside. The birria pizza is what blew me away, though. This was easily one of the most unique, but tasty, things I've ever had. It's not really a pizza, more like a topped quesadilla, but they did a great job of it. I'd not only come back here next time I'm in Fort Worth, I'd be interested in opening a location in Houston if I had the money to franchise it.
