Lisa has been walking my dog for over two years and she is amazing! She's beyond reliable and always has been great with add-on walks if I get stuck in the office or have to be away for longer periods of time on the weekends. My dog is a larger dog and is able to keep complete control of him. She has also worked in training as a part of her time with him. I cannot say enough how grateful I am to have found Lisa. She is literally the best and has been taking exceptional care of my pets for the past 2 1/2 years. I am overly cautious and anxious when it comes to the care of my pets, as they are my children...but with Lisa, I am not worried at all because I have full and complete trust in her. I have two dogs with special needs and they both LOVE Lisa. My dog who is extremely anxious and timid warmed up to Lisa so fast! It is because Lisa has a great energy about her, and her knowledge and skills in positive behavior training show when she is around my pets. She goes over and beyond just walking and feeding my pets- she gives my dog his medication, brings in packages that are left outside, checks with me if she notices the AC or heater was left on, follows up with me if she sees the dogs may have gotten into something they shouldn't have, and she makes sure my dogs are comfortable (puts their sweaters on or takes them off if necessary). She also responds quickly to any messages through the TimetoPet application that is super easy to use. It makes scheduling and changing visits extremely convenient. Not only is Lisa great at what she does, but she's an awesome human being. I was able to talk with her a little when she was walking my dogs after I had surgery, so I got to know her better. She volunteers regularly at various shelters and non-profit organizations and she has vast knowledge about positive behavior training because she is a certified trainer! We moved to San Pedro just a couple of months before the busy holiday season and were concerned we wouldn't be able to find someone to care for our cat Haru while we were away for the holidays. Luckily, we stumbled upon Lisa here on Yelp and decided to give her a shot; we think we made the right decision! Lisa was very accommodating to our schedule, and being that this was our first time away from Haru since adopting her, we were understandably a bit worried (and probably a bit overzealous with our care instructions for Haru!). But Lisa was very understanding, and she gave us updates every day, along with some photos. While Haru was wary of Lisa in the beginning, it was nice to see her warm up to her over several days. Lisa is pleasant, professional, very knowledgeable about animals, and she clearly cares about the pets left in her charge. I needed a pet sitter for 2 trips I was taking (one for a weekend, the other for an entire week) and I could not be happier with Lisa and her services! I admit I am a bit nuts about leaving my BABIES, but I was in a jam...my senior indoor-only cat, and my newly rescued (not quite housebroken) dogs, weren't exactly the best of friends yet. But my mom's big 65th birthday was happening and we'd be away from home 6-8 hours. Oy vey. I had met Lisa volunteering at various pet/animal events so I bit the bullet and asked for help, knowing it would cost me. She wasn't personally available to go to the Valley that day but was able to send Joseph, a college student with a lot of animal experience. Since my pets didn't need medications, wouldn't need to be walked, or anything especially intense, I said OK. The whole job consisted of: hang out at my house for 6-8 hours, make sure nobody goes hungry, make sure nobody fights, make sure the dogs potty outside and the cat doesn't escape. Since Lisa felt it was not a complicated assignment she actually charged less than I expected. I should also mention my dogs, because of their history, are not usually fond of men. We had Joseph come over a little early so they'd warm up. He was adorable - he even brought his own lunch. One of our dogs liked him almost immediately...the other mostly hid. A few hours later Joseph texted us to tell us our shyer guy was allowing himself to be pet and cuddled, which was great news. Everyone seemed to do well, including our bitchy cat. So, hiring The VP was a big milestone for us, in being able to trust someone to watch our gang, and for our dogs in becoming comfortable with strangers. I won't hesitate to call again in the future when we're in need, even though we're somewhat geographically undesirable. read more

I needed someone to stop in and care for our indoor German Shepherd since we would be gone on a day trip. I am hesitant to have people care for him, therefore don't go away very often because he's shy and he doesn't deal with stress very well since he has a medical condition. Lisa obviously cares deeply about animals. She listened very carefully when she came over to meet our dog, and he seemed very comfortable with her. She run her own small rescue and definitely have experience working with different kinds of animals. My two dogs can sometimes be dog aggressive when provoked, so I made sure Lisa understood that very important piece of information. During my trip, she did encounter one situation but she handled it like a true professional and I couldn't have done it better myself. We had a great experience with Lisa taking care of our dog and cat while we were on vacation. She came for two half hour visits since our dog sleeps in a crate at night. The catbox was clean and any little that might have trailed out was cleaned up. Getting her a key before we left was easy, and it was nice meeting with her to make solid plans and have her meet the animals before we left. We plan on using her service in the future! The first time I used Lisa's services, she was basically saving my life. I have eight LARGE rescued dogs and our dogsitter cancelled last minute with a cat in the hospital.
