Okay, I know I'm getting a little heavy-handed with the 5-star reviews but this place deserves it! First thing I noticed was that the hours are great! Usually these specialty shops close the same time I get off work but this one is open until 7pm on most days. Second, the store is spotless! Everything is shiny, dust-free, and organized. It has a very classy feel to it. All of the flavors are properly labeled and clean as well. Third, SAMPLES! You're allowed to taste test all of the oils and vinegars. Believe me, you'll fall in love with at least 5. Personally, I loved the Neopolitan Herb dark balsamic vinegar. I tried that and the Vermont Maple, Coconut, Golden Pineapple, Gravenstein Apple, and the Honey Ginger. All of them were exquisite! Probably the best part of my trip was talking to the owner who educated me on the differences of the vinegars and oils, answered my questions about the origins of her products, and suggested many options for cooking. For instance, marinate pork chops in the blueberry vinegar, use the Cinnamon Pear on sweet potato fries, marinate pork loin in the pineapple and the coconut vinegars for a Hawiian pulled pork, and marinate steaks in the dark chocolate or espresso vinegars. I couldn't purchase anything at the time of my visit because I was on my lunch break and didn't have time after my conversation with the owner. But please believe I am TOO excited about going back to purchase a variety of vinegars and oils!

The ambiance is a very attractive comfortable rustic. The food is spectacular! The birthday girl had lasagna after a gazillion wonderful appetizers! And tiramisu for dessert! A happier person you have never met! The table had pasta dishes, pizza, both colors of sangria and a variety of desserts. All to our delight. Only 2 of the 8 of us were from Deland but everyone agreed that we're returning to Urban Brick for our next celebration in May! My advice: Go often. Taste every item on the menu. Take your friends & relations. Hire a personal trainer & move to Deland! Urban Brick is worth it!

The Diavola had a nice kick and felt a little adventurous in a good way. The Pepperoni was solid and reliable, exactly what you expect. Now the calzone... not for me. I was expecting a classic cheese-forward situation, but this was more of a chaotic mash-up of ingredients that didn't quite come together. Felt like a pizza identity crisis folded in half. The crust is worth noting, it has that cornmeal-style texture. If you like a slightly gritty, rustic bite, you'll be into it. Overall, good flavor, just know what you're ordering. Next time, I'm sticking to the pizzas and leaving the calzone in the box.

We were greeted by the owner as soon as we walked in and promptly shown to our table, where our drink orders were taken. One feature we especially appreciated was the daily Happy Hour from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m., with very reasonable prices on beer and wine. The wine list is respectable, and our selection arrived nicely chilled--always a welcome treat on a hot and humid Florida afternoon. The owner reviewed the daily specials, and after hearing the description, I was persuaded to try the Veal Marsala. My wife was looking for something a little lighter and chose the personal Selvitella Pizza (veggie). Both selections were excellent. In fact, she couldn't finish her pizza, so we brought the leftovers home. Later that evening, I heroically stepped up and finished the remaining slices, a sacrifice I made willingly and with complete satisfaction. The restaurant is conveniently located on Woodland Boulevard in the heart of downtown DeLand, where parking has never been an issue for us. There's street parking out front and several large public lots nearby, making access easy and stress-free. If you're looking for authentic Italian food, friendly service, and a comfortable dining experience, give Positano Trattoria Pizzeria a try. We highly recommend it. Enjoy!

The same sauce was used for dipping the mozzarella sticks (tasted very frozen), the calzone, and the spaghetti. My wife used most of a container of parmesean trying to help the flavor. This family-owned gem has been serving up delicious pizzas, pastas, and classic Italian dishes since 1998, always with the freshest natural ingredients and that warm, welcoming vibe that makes you feel right at home. They're especially known for their incredible homemade pizza--thin, crispy crust that's perfectly charred, tangy sauce, and generous toppings that make every slice addictive. But the real standout is their signature white pizza: ricotta and mozzarella with olive oil, fresh garlic, and herbs (no tomato sauce), creating this creamy, garlicky, herbaceous masterpiece that's unlike anything else around. It's my personal favorite on the pizza side--simple yet so flavorful, and reviewers rave about it being the best white pizza they've ever had. When I'm in the mood for something heartier, nothing beats their veal parmigiana--my absolute personal favorite entrée. Tender, grain-fed veal pounded thin, breaded just right, topped with rich marinara and melted cheese, served over perfectly cooked pasta. It's generous, comforting, and cooked to order every time--juicy, not greasy, with that classic Italian depth of flavor that hits all the right spots. The portions are huge, and it always leaves me satisfied without feeling heavy. Beyond that, their full menu shines: fresh pastas like clams over angel hair, chicken parm, eggplant parm, calzones, antipasto salads, garlic bread, and more--all made with wholesome, high-quality ingredients. The service is friendly and efficient (they handle crowds well even when busy), the dining room is cozy and family-friendly, and you can dine in, take out, or get delivery. If you're craving real homemade Italian in DeLand--whether it's pizza perfection, standout veal parm, or any of their other classics--Angelina's Pizzeria is the place. Call them at (386) 736-6999 or check bestpizzaindeland.com for the menu. Highly recommend--you'll keep coming back, just like I do! 1computeroutlet , 1websitenow

At dinner time the restaurant had a great moody vibe. Hospitality was top notch. We had a reservation and were sat right away at a table near the kitchen. I love when you can see into the kitchen and watch everything. You know that's a restaurant that trusts what they make and has nothing to hide. Our server was AMAZING. He was the kindest guy and constantly made sure we had everything we needed. He made our night with his fun energy. The food was phenomenal. The restaurant provides elevated boiled peanuts on the table to snack. The flavor was great. I ordered the jumbo lump crab cakes that comes with 2 decent size crab cakes packed with crab meat. As sides, I ordered the caesar brussels and potatoes. The sides were great and the potatoes were a combination of different potatoes which I liked. My mom had the chicken and dumplings and she had rave reviews to give. This is a great spot for a date night, a place to make a dinner feel more elevated, or to celebrate something. Thank you for the great experience and service.

I ordered 5 lbs of bone-in short ribs weeks in advance for Thanksgiving--at the staff's own suggestion when I inquired about availability. I provided my pickup date and time as requested, and received two confirmation calls leading up to the holiday. Despite all this preparation, the actual pickup was frustrating and disorganized. When I arrived at my scheduled time on the day before Thanksgiving, the shop was using the standard take-a-number system that completely ignored appointment times. The chaos was predictable--dozens of customers were there for pre-orders--but the system failed at multiple points. Numbers were called too quietly in a loud, crowded shop, and the LED display wasn't consistently updated. Staff gave customers mere seconds to respond before moving to the next number, causing people to be skipped repeatedly. I waited 40 minutes past my scheduled pickup time. When I finally reached the counter, my order wasn't prepared. After weeks of advance notice and multiple confirmations, they had a 3 lb package and a 12 lb package available--neither matching my 5 lb order. I settled for 6 lbs (half of the larger package), which required additional cutting and another 10-minute wait. What's most disappointing is that this was entirely preventable. The day before Thanksgiving is obviously their busiest day of the year, but it's also completely predictable. Pre-orders were advertised in-store for over a month. Simple measures--dedicated staff for pre-orders, a separate pickup area, orders prepared ahead of time--would have prevented this chaos. Instead, the staff seemed dismissive when confronted with their lack of preparation. I understand holiday rushes can overwhelm any business, but this wasn't a rush--it was a failure to plan for a workload they actively solicited and had weeks to prepare for. For a business that asks customers to plan ahead with pre-orders, I expected them to do the same. I won't be returning.

Since I heard such great things about this butcher and since I would be driving by (well, actually I was driving down Interstate 4 and it was only about four miles off the highway), today would be the day I would check this place out. By the way, I have not been this way for quite some time and it certainly has changed and grown. Anyway, I pulled into the parking lot of Gaff's and found it to be an attractive stand alone building. Parking was good and the exterior was clean and inviting. Walking into the establishment, I found it to equally clean and the store was well situated and again, very inviting. The staff was nothing short of incredible and customer service was definitely a high priority with the management here. I was continuously greeted by the team and they were extremely attentive without being overly so. There is a deli counter, a seafood counter, the shelves were filled with great specialty items and the meat counter, where the emphasis of this business lies, was filled with some great looking beef, pork and chicken. I am a huge fan of sausage, so I gravitated towards there. The friendly young man behind the counter recommended the hot Italian sausage, so I got four of them (which was well over a pound). Since I like spicy food, I also opted for their bratwurst with serrano and cheese. I should have also gotten some of their lean ground sirloin, it looked great. I had the spicy bratwurst today. I had it with thinly sliced cooked onions and a quality mustard and while I have had better, it was definitely very good. I would definitely recommend here and will return here. Great service and very good quality food make this place a winning combination. Check it out. I am sure that you will be a fan of this establishment.
