The first time I went to John I needed about 75 copies made of 8 different DVDs. I needed it some in a few hours on a Friday night. He cleared his schedule and made it happen. My boss was very pleased that the last minute task was successful for his business trip he was taking the next morning. Okay, I've only written one other review in my lifetime and that was for a joint in my hometown of Austin. But I absolutely need to sing my praises for Archetype DVD, particularly in respect to one employee, John T. Woods. Here's my anecdote. I have one particular funder in Los Angeles that was asking for some updated DVD's of my film project. I had less than 24 hours to deliver, and I was scrambling to find a solution that would not require me to use FedEx's same-day service, flying a bunch of DVD's from Austin to L.A.: that would have cost me at least $260. Instead, I searched Yelp for a post house, and found the 5-star ratings for this place. I took a chance and called *after hours*. YES, John answered after hours. I told him my scenario, and he offered to help right away. Also promising to hand-deliver my DVD's to my funder's headquarters, which happen to be down the block. John was persistent, attentive, kind, funny. As I told him, he restored my faith in humanity; here I was really needing to find a solution, and John went above and beyond. To say I *highly recommend* this place would be an understatement. Beyond just a simple business transaction, you can see that this guy really functions from the heart, wanting to connect to his clients and be a helpful person in the world. I have used them for the past 5 years and recommend them to Anyone who needs good quality DVD Duplications, which I have done, but I mostly use them for Air Checks. These guys are amazing. I needed a DVD duplicated and I handed over my original in a crappy sleeve with my company's name hand-written on the DVD. Less than 20 minutes later, I received the copies that I needed, all in sleeves in my company's color, with my company's logo on the DVDs! I don't even know where they got the logo, but obviously, these people are sharp. And they go the extra mile. The Archetype Company was an absolute pleasure to work with. I was rushing to get my film formatted and mastered -- for 2K DCP projection and Bluray respectively --  to get it in to the PAFF film festival in time, and John came through for us. He understood our situation, rushed our order (at no additional charge!), and went above and beyond to QC the film and make sure that the blacks in the header and footer were a true crunchy black.  As always, there were some last minute revisions/requests that came in after he had already made the DCP and discs that we would need re-ingested and re-exported to DCP/Bluray. Even though I was worried, John volunteered to update the file and make new press DVD's for the team at half price. This should suffice to show you John's character and the work of the Archetype Company, but I want to say through all of this -- John always offered solutions, was straight and honest, very friendly, reminded me and the team of things we may have forgot in our rush to send in deliverables, and delivered everything in a neat, perfectly labeled HD and case. And you can't beat his prices! This is the service and pride in work that should be standard in all service businesses. This is a review I'm very, very excited and happy to write. I needed to get fifty dupes of a DVD of an old program, checked Yelp, found this place. Right off the bat, the prices were very good, and I had a great chat with the owner John. I placed the order at about 10am. In the "comment" section of the order, I asked, vaguely, if he could make the label "somehow elegant if possible." The order was ready by 4pm, and when I checked the DVDs, I was blown away. Without a word from me, he had apparently researched the old program he was duping, obtained the original logo, title, and graphics, and elegantly printed them onto every DVD. They're gorgeous - and they came out to just over $2.00/DVD. I could go on and on, but you get the picture. I am a video/film professional and I don't write reviews often (this is my first). I rarely go to Yelp to find professional vendors etc., because usually asking a co-worker or another freelancer would yield better results. There is no reason for me to write this review other than the absolutely STUNNING customer service, and quality. I haven't had good luck with DVD burning, labeling, printing, etc. I turned to Yelp as a last resort and John picked up the phone, immediately answered all of my questions, was responsive at every time of the day, and when I brought the price + the DVDs back to my boss, he couldn't tell the difference between the ones we had just received from John @ Archetype, and the ones our company was paying (literally) DOUBLE for before.
