Fairly organized, I always find something to buy here. Prices are a bit steep like F21 and H&M for almost $20. Also, there are some good deals but still a bit pricey like a brand new banana republic dress with tags still on for $30. They had Seiko watches for $40 b it the face was scratched. Books selection was good but didn't get why a kids/beginner level book was $2.99 (think soft copy Berenstein Bears book). Kids selection is ok, but more than what I'd like to pay for used kids clothing. read more

I've been to this location once. There's plenty of parking and a long line of cars down a lane lined up to donate items. This store is HUGE. There's so much to look through. Everything is organized in sections and labeled. Again, a lot of variety. The book section is grand and I like how they're also organized by topics. Only thing that was a deterrent with this store was the pricing. Sure, you can look for the 50% color tag on some items to get a discount and possibly find a hidden gem of a deal, BUT Ross and Marshalls are literally across the street and they have all this new stuff for the same or even cheaper price (at least what I saw clothing wise). I personally wouldn't go out of my way to this location. I would think with so many items being donated, you'd find a fair price to keep items circulating and truly being a thrift price. Would I go back? Sure. It's just wasn't my exciting go to thrift spot. Check it out for yourself! read more

I always find great things, but the prices are ridiculous. You'll leave spending more than expected 9/10 times.

I was soooo upset that an item wouldn't scan and I had to ask the employee for help. When she scanned it, it scanned for half the listed price. Then she adjusted back to the higher price. What the hell? I asked her why she changed it. Don't they honor the lowest price? It scanned that way! She didn't have any response. Also, I found a bunch of items I wanted to buy in a bin near the employees only section. It was on the floor, but not priced. It shouldn't be where customers can see it and have access to it, if they aren't planning on selling it. I was so disappointed! There were tons of Disney magazines. I don't live in the area (about 2 hours away), so it's not possible to wait for them to be sent somewhere to be priced as the employee explained. I think if a customer can see it, and have access to it, it should be able to be purchased. I posted a photo of the backpack/purse I saw. It was priced at $59.99. "Donated millions of items!" Well okay, maybe not millions, but thousands anyway. Most of them were my wife's stuff. Today I donated 100 beanie babies. Do you remember them? They used to be worth money, but not so much anymore. I don't often go shopping here, but the donation system is very efficient. Just be sure to go to the queue leading up to the donation center. I have no idea how they handle this much merchandise, but they do a good job. Please don't tell my wife I donated so much of her stuff. Especially those beanie babies. read more

The name of the store is SAVERS yet at this location you'll end up spending! I've been to many savers throughout the states and this one was definitely overpriced. Selection was meh. But the store itself the clothing at least was really organized. Staff is friendly, helpful. The donation line outside the store is monitored, can be a little difficult to navigate to parking due to this. Overall it's an ok savers. read more

I wish this location was as nice as the one at Lawrence and Homestead in Santa Clara. The donation line is insanely long whenever I've gone there to drop off. It makes me not want to go. I tried to drop some items off before work, leaving myself a 30 minute cushion and got to work late. The actual store is fairly clean. It can get a bit disorganized, but its a thrift store so that's to be expected. My biggest complaint is...the prices. I'm not sure who is responsible for pricing this stuff but sometimes a stained or clearly worn name brand piece is more expensive than the price of buying it new and unworn from a discount store like Marshalls or Ross. There is a sweet little both in a corner of the store for the "behind the glass" kind of items, such as fine jewelry, Doc Martens and designer purses. Last time I was there I was very tempted to buy a black Kate Spade satchel for $20 in good condition, but I didn't because honestly, I knew I didn't need it. I don't know what it is about this location, but each time I've been here which is only twice, I've had pretty meh experience experiences with staff members. That isn't to say that they don't have good people working there as I had two good encounters while I was shopping. But for the most part, every employee that I encountered was just unfriendly. In addition to that, it is definitely 50-50 with the customers. A handful of them were very pleasant and over overall good people to be around, but there were also several who were just flat out rude, inconsiderate,, self-centered individuals which dampened my experience. I don't know if it was due to Dublin being more inland, but I definitely did not appreciate what felt like racial, political, and/or classist prejudice from fellow patrons. Aside from that, the store is actually pretty decent. The biggest thing to praise about it is their variety which without question has far better options than the one in Alameda. Had I had a better experience. I would've given this place a much higher rating. But due to those notable issues, I unfortunately have to lower it. This Savers location is large, pretty well organized, and has lots of mirrors alongside each aisle for you to try things on over your clothing (unfortunately no dressing rooms). I think out of all the Savers locations I've been to in the Bay Area, this one is probably the most spacious and the most organized, with the largest variety of clothes, including jackets, workout wear, sleepwear, etc. That being said, it can be hard to comb through a lot of racks (many fast fashion pieces) to find one or two potential treasures. Parking is plentiful here and they are open fairly late, so I recommend coming on a day when you have time to spare. No returns allowed so whatever you take, you keep. They have a current Halloween section right now with options for both kids and adult costumes - definitely come check it out if you're still mulling over what to wear. read more

I got inspired thrift and buy secondhand from watching some inspiration on YouTube. I'm not normally a thrifter but wanted to try. I will say that I tend to get overwhelmed by chaotic stores where each item is so different, so while I was overwhelmed this store felt like organized chaos. There was lots of people shopping here. I was hoping to find some interesting glassware but I didn't find any on the day I was there. I saw they had used sheets and pillow cases which was also interesting, not sure id want to use someone else's Overall they gave a wide selection of used items and if you have time you can sift through everything and I'm sure you'll find some hidden gems. read more

There can be a long line for donating. It's useful to be mindful of that when you go, depending on the time/day. We waited around 30-minutes, yet it's all in an effort to keep things orderly and running smoothly. I took off 1-star as there were some hiccups despite my calling several days in advance to clear any issues. That said, the workers/volunteers are super helpful, within reason (don't make outlandish requests and you're golden). So, though there might be a line, pack some patience in your pocket as everyone's doing their best to help the process flow as well as possible for all. Upon donating, you'll receive a (currently) 20% off coupon for an in-store purchase. I believe it also has a code that serves as your donation receipt, but I haven't checked that out. I only donated items, I'm not itemizing them for tax purposes. There's a restroom inside, which you'll need a code from an employee to use. No paper towels in the women's restroom, only a hand dryer. read more

Thrifting! Such a cool thing now from when I was younger. I came to savers because I have a cousin who adores thrifting and he took me here to check out. First thing I noticed as soon as I pulled in to the lot, they have a well organized drop off method that prevents dumping in the shopping center. I'm unsure about organizing and sorting internally, but based on the store organization they do a pretty good job. As soon as I walked, the smell unlocked core memories of "thrifting" with my mom, aunts, & cousins as kids. They have carts ready at the door and as soon as you walk in there are hundreds of books neatly organized on shelf's. To your right you'll see cashiers, women's clothing and a section for jewelry and other name brand stuff. As you walk in past the books, you start to see all the men's clothing. (FYI, teen clothes are mixed with regular men/women clothing so make sure you LOOK). Towards the back you'll find home goods, kids clothes and toys. We also found hardware and art, so keep an eye out for goodies. The store is very well organized, the staff is real nice and even assisted at self check out. You can also sign up for savers discounts online and you get $3 off as soon as you sign up, so do it before hand! I docked one star because the selection was sparse on the day I went. A lot of school sports wear with kids names on it or school year, and old company uniforms. It's fine but I guess variety is stocked up during the week. Weekends are crazy busy so keep that in mind. Ugh, just another used goods store, smelly and junk -- not! It seems like it's as busy as hell, lots of folks of all ages going in, and coming out with bags of stuff. So it must be good. Donation center: =============== For one, I donate to this place all-the-time (and it's washed, sometimes from the dry cleaners, and overall nice stuff that I no longer want). This review is for the donation center. One word = awesome. Drive-up access: so well organized and pleasant, and they make it as easy-as-pie to do. On weekends, I've never seen anything like it. There's often 20 or more cars waiting in line to donate with a person directing traffic in the parking lot. To get a receipt, you must go online to fill out a form, and print it out. Still, easy, too. They beat the donation pants off of the Goodwill, which happened to be down the street. Kudos. Inside, the goods: =============== Huge. Lots of stuff. Framed art, knick-knacks, misc kitchen stuff, toys, and tons of clothes. It's very well organized. I didn't find anything, but I think it's worth checking out. read more

My first visit to this Savers location was not what I expected. I visited the Savers in Redwood City a few months ago and had a different, better experience. It is a large location, with a wide selection of clothing. They also have books, CD's, cassettes, DVD's, purses, household items, shoes, jewelry, and wall decor. I circled the store a few times to take a look at different sections. I found a fairly new toy school bus for my son and it was under $4, so I decided I would purchase that. In the back by the registers, there are higher end purses zip tied to a metal grid. I saw a Prada bag that looked fairly real, as it had good quality leather and was clean. I did some research on my phone, and concluded it was fake as I found the "Made in China" tag that is common in fake designer bags. Savers had it priced at $199.99. Leaving that purse area I saw a security guard appear near me, and I did not think much of it. Theft is a problem in any store. As I walked back to look at the jewelry, I saw the security guard near me again. I immediately felt uncomfortable, as this was now the second time. I decided to leave after that and just purchase the toy car. The security guard was now standing in front of the self-checkout near the register I was at. Third time's a charm, and I will not be coming back to this location. read more

What stood out was the kind and friendly staff--everyone was welcoming, helpful, and made the shopping experience even better. It's clear they take pride in their store and customer service. Had a bad experience. This is my first time visiting this location and they have self checkout. Although i have used self checkout before i was struggling using this particular one. I called one of the ladies helping at the checkout. I had to call her back one more time and she was visibly annoyed. I thanked her and she ignored me. Poor customer service. I had a very disappointing experience at the donation drop-off at Savers. From the moment I pulled in, he was dismissive, condescending, and clearly irritated--despite me being polite and cooperative. Granted, I unintentionally cut the line but only because this was my first time, and I was unsure with their process. We were met with hostility and genuine aggression from a frail white older man with glasses. I apologized profusely and went to the correct place in line. After waiting in line patiently, I was still unsure of whether to go to the donation spot or still wait. The spots were empty, so I assumed I could go. Once I approached the donation spot, he aggressively gestured me to roll down my window and proceeded to berate me. I apologized again and explained that I was confused since I was holding up the line. He then accused us of cutting the line once again (except this time we did not). Overall, this experience was incredibly disappointing; all I was trying to do was to donate my items to a better cause. I totally understand that working outside would make anyone grumpy, but he definitely was projecting his misery on me and my friend. read more

I am not someone who likes digging through clothes and it's been quite a while since I went thrifting. I came midday on the weekend with a bag of clothes to donate, but was not able to drop off due to the long line. The store is set up nicely and I mainly stuck to the women's section this time. As I shopped I saw people trying on clothes in the aisles and learned this is because there is no fitting room available. **November 2022: Weekday and Weekend Visit** I don't usually come to this part of the bay area, but I found some pretty cool things at this shop. First off the store is enormous and there's bound to be something for everyone. A number of the donations even had original price tags on it, though you do need to dig. They do individually price items, but many are moderately priced for thrifting. On my trip I found a vintage St. Johns dress for $25 and some cute BCBG heels for $9. The next time I'm in the bay area I would definitely come and see what they have! read more
