This property is so nice! I was really impressed with the rooms, the fitness area, and the feel of this place. We also had a large group catered dinner and the staff did a great job handling the event. I hope to stay here during future visits to Tucson.

    Dinning area.

Located in a charming well cared for historical area that is within walking distance to the many dining establishments of downtown Tucson. The inn itself has tasteful historical presents with modern conveniences throughout. The staff is engaged, friendly and welcoming. I recommend this unique historic , tastefully decorated somewhat decadent accommodations. It's an experience you will fondly remember.

Words can not express how amazing this place is. The friendliness and sincerity from Amy & Dora is phenomenal. They are doing truly wonderful things at this b&b. The room: Larcena Pennington was fantastic. Bathroom was gorgeous, water pressure was great, the bed was extremely comfy and the bedding was so lush. We slept like a baby every single night. I added a bottle of wine & cheese plate during our booking and both were waiting for us when we arrived. The cheese plate was delicious and worth the extra cost! The facility: I used the gym downstairs and it was great. It has a treadmill, peloton bike, weights and yoga mats. Lysol wipes to wipe down everything you use. It was really nice! The outside patio both downstairs & upstairs is beautiful. Such a pretty space to sit and relax with coffee or wine. The breakfast: the food was AMAZING. They listened to food allergies and we had no problems! Dora, I know I told you this each day but your food is fantastic. Her scones & lemon curd are superb. We were lucky to have 2 breakfasts here and both were different. They had a wonderful variety of greens, fresh fruit, eggs, meat & carbs. Armory Hour: at 5pm you come downstairs and get a glass of wine, beer or seltzer. They gave us a mixed nut mix that Dora says they season in house. I'm telling you this mix was amazing and barely lasted a couple minutes. Amy & Dora, your hospitality is amazing and it was so nice meeting you. We loved chatting with you and want to thank you for creating such a welcoming escape. We whole heartedly recommend Armory Park Inn, it's worth every penny!

My favorite event was the Art walk in April 2026. I really enjoyed the hands on art activities they provided in particular and also enjoyed visiting a few rooms they had open with the artists who decorated them being present. I appreciate that the food trucks they invite to be on premises have vegetarian and vegan options. Can't wait for the next event here!

There are a lot of retro hotels being renovated around Arizona…read morethese days, and having stayed at multiple ones, I can say Hotel McCoy is doing it really well. I love that it is a single-story motel, meaning you don't have to listen to the neighbors walking above you all night. Also, they have gone out of their way to make things kitschy, artsy, and cool. There is art everywhere, including fun little treats like chalk and chalkboards in the room. The rooms are functional but not fancy. There isn't carpet (a benefit in my opinion), the shower is small, but has excellent pressure. I will say the beds are incredibly comfortable. Everything was clean. We had a small (retro-style of course) fridge in the room. And even though there was just a window unit, our room maintained a comfortable temperature. (Although it wasn't that hot. I am not sure how it would be in the summer.) I do love that they only have keypads, no actual keys, which made it really convenient to go in and out. There is also a little bistro set by the front door, which is delightful for sipping coffee (or eating your free oatmeal) in the morning. The common areas are fun, decorated with a lot of cool art and old school kitsch. The pool is heated saltwater, which is good for the cooler months, but kind of a bummer in the hotter months (aka most of the year) because it was only April but the pool felt like bathwater. You can't bring your own drinks to the pool area, but they have a lot of drinks for sale in the lobby (beer, wine, cider, no hard liquor), and the prices are quite reasonable. And the oatmeal bar in the morning is tons of fun. Service is slightly hit or miss. Some of the employees were amazing (shout out to Alex!), but some kind of felt like they were going through the motions. All in all, this is a good value motel, and I would stay there again.

There really isn't a lot in the immediate area of much interest; most of the best that Tucson has to offer is in the greater metro area, not the downtown core. But it is nice that they offer ample parking just steps from your room at no extra charge. The building looks nice from the outside, with its retro mod style and landscaped courtyard. The bar has very limited hours in the summer, but does have a nice drink menu and makes a good spot to hang out. The room was a bit sparse in my opinion. I was under the impression from the website that there would be a nook with a chair for reading, but my room didn't have one. It just had the bed, a couple of nightstands, a dresser, a mini-fridge, and a narrow desk. There's no closet, just a couple of hooks on the wall. The bathroom was basic, with a prefab shower unit. The decor is limited to a couple of vintage lamps and some patterned fabric for the curtains. The bed was comfortable enough and the air conditioner was wonderful at keeping it cool. There's a window next to the door with a top block that isn't covered by a shade, so anyone could stand on a stool from outside and look in the room. I went looking for ice at about 3pm one afternoon. I knew the bar was closed that day, but the entire front office area was locked and no one was around. Summer is slow season, but I wonder what if there were something more urgent than ice? At least the off-season rates are quite low.

I like the area it was quiet, but still close to the Downtown stuff and walkable to a bunch of different things. Guess depending on the time of year, you might not want to walk as much. But I was able to get everywhere I wanted to go within 20 minutes walk. There are a ton of great food options all around as well as coffee, shops, and more. The staff was very accommodating and more than willing to help me out with an early check-in. The check in process was really smooth and all they needed was an ID as there was already a credit card on file with my reservation. They handed me a key and showed me my room and that was it. The room was super cute, I love the exposed brick and the decor. The only thing I would know is maybe request a top floor room as being on the bottom floor I could hear the people above me moving around quite a bit. However, it is a really old building and that's just life I guess.

We've stayed here once before a few years back when they were renovating. The early evening checkin was a busy one, but the desk clerk Alma pleasantly greeted me and kept me abreast, as she expertly cared for four guest ahead of me. All the Staff were super nice and helpful. A private company provided secure parking at $15 per day and a refundable $50 incidental fee is automatically charged to your credit card. It takes up to 24 hrs to reflect refund. Inside the facility is smoke-free. Every area of the hotel was spotless. We had an awesome experience during their daily free guest "happy hour" that offered light horderves of cheddar and pepper jack cheese, two types of veggies and two creamy dips with an assortment of crackers, pretzel snack mix and their house choice of white or red wine, two types of beer or a "Shirley Temple" for children or others who prefer non-alcoholic fare. Two drink limit per guest. The first evening we decided to eat at the E'terie Cafe located within the bar area. The menu was limited, but offered something to satisfy our hunger. The bartender Jazmine was running the entire bar, taking drink/food orders and serving all guests with skilled ease of a well seasoned professional. We applaud her for the "excellent" service, attentiveness and extreme patience of a Saint, as she provided amazing customer service with a smile during that busy event, which we had the pleasure of experiencing two days in a row. Each day featured a variety, which made you want to go every evening to see what was available. Our room was a two room suite with queen bed and sleeper couch. Each room had a large screened wall-mounted TV w/controls, we watched free HBO and cable, plus offers for paid streaming. It was nice to have a wet bar that contained a spacious counter containing a tray w/drinkware and an ice bucket w/liner, a coffee/tea pod beverage maker, an organizer filled with the necessary items to add to your selected hot beverage of choice. Under the wet bar displayed a clear glassed compact refrigerator, full sized microwave inside a cabinet with two storage drawers below. A large bathroom boasted a huge walk in shower, vanity sink w/custom stone counter. Above was a mirror with built in courtesy lights on either side for applying your makeup and an auto nightlight feature that was impressive, to include a full length mirror on an opposite wall. Each room had a closet (one contained the safe and the other the ironing board, iron and extra blanket in a zippered clear storage bag), two ceiling fans, and a full sized dresser in bedroom. Was refreshing to have a central thermostat to control the comfort level for both rooms. The balcony was clean and had one chair. Our room was located close to the ice machine and elevator. It was quiet and noise level zero to none. Each morning offered a free "made to order" breakfast with many selections to choose from. Pre-prepared hot foods available were fried potatoes, crispy bacon, scrambled eggs, oatmeal, pastries, coffee, several juices, bread, english muffin or bagel, available was a large rotating flat toaster, with a variety of condiments. Have to say, the breakfast was always delicious and something we looked forward to every morning. The grill staff were also pleasant. Courtesy reminder to tip the Staff for all they do. We had a fun time at the gated pool with it's secure room key entrance, enjoyed an evening the first night we arrived and on Wednesday morning for a few hours. The hot tub and pool were very well maintained and water in both were crystal clear. Plenty of seating, but suggest more umbrellas would be beneficial with Arizona's brutal sun. The mountain views were scenic and relaxing. Never used the gym, but looking in through the glass door there seemed to be a variety of beneficial exercise equipment to use. There is so much more to this lodging. A "must stay" to experience!
