We have a deep admiration for The Art House. In just a few months, our kids have displayed remarkable skills! They return home with enthusiasm to practice what they've learned and share insights about famous artists and their works. Grateful for businesses that foster such creativity!

I can't say enough positive things about this place. My daughter (now 7) has been going here for over a year (regular classes and camp) and absolutely loves it. The teachers are wonderful.

These are only a few of the many paintings they have done in our home.

My boys have been going there since they were 5 years old, and I can say they are the best. They have the tools and the know-how to bring out the best in your childs artistic ability. It's a fun place for them to learn and grow as artists. I wouldn't choose any other place.

So proud of my son's work. He loves coming to The Art House. He says "it's calming" and he's found a real passion and curiosity for art. He takes pride in his work and feels good about everything he's learning about art history and different techniques.

We sent my 4-year-old to one of the summer camps this year and he had such a great time that he's been taking the weekly classes ever since and loving them. I was worried when we started that it would be too much for him (he couldn't really make a straight line) and on our way there the first day he said he was scared because he didn't know how to draw any animals. Wow, what a difference in his confidence level just a couple of months later. The whole family enjoys seeing his projects and hearing him talk about what they worked on, what tools they used and how they mixed colors. It is a bit of a drive for us to get him there but it is sooooo worth the effort!

Ask the Community - The Art House

Do you have entry level art class for 6 years old boy? He is never took any art class before.

Yes! We have our PK/K class for new 4,5 and 6 year olds. We also offer a K/2 class for new 6 and 7 year olds. The classes are structured and offer a gentle introduction to materials, handling, etc. Each curriculum is specifically designed for age…

Do you teach digital art software using iPads?

We are a tech free school! Our kids learn strong fundamentals that allow them to excel with digital arts, animation, etc.

Hi, how many minutes is one class ?? and does the $80 tuition cover 4 classes per month ?? thank you.

    Do you accept charter funds?

    Yes we do!

Curious how this works regarding schedule. Does the $80 get you access two all the scheduled classes for your child's age range? For example pre-k is offered 3 times a week, do I pick one time a week?

I am looking for Art Schools for high school age kids, does anyone have any recommendations?

As she got older, she started working on ceramics, painting, production design, and digital art. Miss Connie works with the community and schools. Ms. Wonju and instructors are extremely knowledgeable and genuinely committed to helping each student succeed. They provided thoughtful guidance and really understood how to bring out my daughter's strengths. The program is very well structured and professional, which was especially helpful since my daughter began her portfolio preparation a bit later than most. The school created a clear plan tailored to the specific requirements of each college she was applying to, particularly for design majors, not just traditional art majors. With their support, my daughter was accepted into most of her top choice schools this year and received scholarships from every school she got into. And it truly reflects the quality of the program. I have two daughters, and based on the experience we had with my older one, I've already enrolled my younger one, who is currently a freshman. I highly recommend this school to anyone interested in pursuing a major in art or design.

The other studios we have sent the girls in the past offer a more "cookie-cutter" approach from project concept to completion. The girls are allowed space to roam and explore with each project which is a far cry from their experiences in previous studios. We love how technique is emphasized along with learning how each media can alter the look, feel, and interpretation of an art piece. We cannot be happier with how our girls' have grown as artist through these years. We strongly recommend Sketchbook to anyone wanting to grow as artists!

I had no idea what to expect or if I was going to be able to learn anything. On our first class, my son chose the art medium - sketching. By the end of the class, with Valerie's guidance, I had actually completed my first drawing; a light bulb! My son's project was a lot more involved and completed his drawing in three classes. He sketched a dog, and WOW!!! I've always receive complements on his 3rd grade school paintings (now in 8th grade) but Valerie really helped him tap into his talent. I later decided that I was more compelled to paint dramatic landscaped and started in acrylic then moved on to oil painting. I always felt that I had a natural appreciation for nature and loved to bask in its beauty; however, after taking this class, I've begun to notice colors in nature that I've never pick up on before; like, all of the purples, reds, blues, and variations of whites and greys in the clouds. I really appreciate Valerie's teaching style. She is very patient yet is able to push the student out of their comfort zone with grace. The learning environment is comfortable and causal. Artists of all skill levels and ages are welcome and there is never a competitive spirit. Only appreciation and encouragement.

Love that they give kids a portfolio and take photos that get sent you. Only downside is their makeup policy, which requires you complete the class within the same week and the same month.
