We celebrated our daughter Audrey's 8th birthday party at Art House on May 23rd, and it was truly such a wonderful experience from beginning to end! We invited about 10 of Audrey's close friends and classmates, and the kids had an amazing time together. The party started with a one-hour instructor-led art lesson, and every child got to create their own beautiful art piece to take home. This year's party theme was "K-pop Demon Hunters," and Mr. Nathaniel and Mr. Kai did an incredible job bringing the entire theme to life. From the decorations and setup to the fun K-pop music playing in the background, the atmosphere was absolutely perfect. The kids were excited the moment they walked in and had so much fun the entire time! After the art lesson, we enjoyed cake time and play time, and it was so special seeing both the children and parents happily enjoying the celebration together. We are so grateful to Mr. Nathaniel and Mr. Kai for helping us create such a beautiful memory for Audrey's 8th birthday. All of the parents kept saying how cute and creative the party was! A very good school to learn arts and drawings. Our girls have taken lessons here since elementary years and they still enjoy coming to class every week. We sent my 4-year-old to one of the summer camps this year and he had such a great time that he's been taking the weekly classes ever since and loving them. I was worried when we started that it would be too much for him (he couldn't really make a straight line) and on our way there the first day he said he was scared because he didn't know how to draw any animals. I took art classes here since I was in kindergarten to senior year of high school (1999-2012). I had so much fun through every step of the way- as a younger elementary school student, the projects were fun and allowed use to use our creativity to individualize our own project, while still learning about how to use colors, and shapes in differing mediums. I made so many friends in class and even attended their fun themed summer camps! The Art House was a bit far from my house (25 minutes) so I remember my mom taking me to visit 3 other children's art studios and hoping I would agree to switch. None of them even came close! The others classes simply had students try to mimic a already made piece of art as closely as they could. I much preferred the Art House's method of using a sample art piece as inspiration, and allowing the students to create their own interpretation. In middle school and high school, we gradually began to get even more freedom with our pieces. I looked forward to art class all week and was even allowed to come in on extra days to work on my pieces. Cherene, the owner and my teacher for many years, is the best teacher I could have ever asked for. Her love for art and teaching is clear, and her patience and clear investment in each and every student's art piece creates the perfect creative environment. The other staff members, many being past Art House students are amazing teachers too. I would highly recommend the Art House to anyone- I enjoyed it both as a child, and as a 18 year old high school senior. Art is a great outlet for creativity, and even if you don't expect your child to become the next Picasso, I believe that the Art House is the perfect weekly extracurricular activity to make friends and exercise that right brain! read more

This is my daughter's favorite class! It is so awesome. Her teacher Ms. Darcy is so patient with the kids. Since all the COV19 stuff has happened, everything is done online as of now but that doesn't change how fun the projects are. You pick up a package of all your art supplies and then watch videos which are very explanatory. She loves doing art and this helps so much by keeping her busy in a way that she's still learning and following instructions. Highly recommend for your little ones! read more

Love, Love, Love this place!!! My daughter has been attending The Art House for 5 years and has become quite the artist. I signed her up because at 4 years old she was having a hard time with fine motor skills using a pencil. She not only improved, but has won the PTA Reflections Art contest every time she has entered thanks to the skills she has learned there. She learns about art history and the techniques that the artists used while creating art. Mrs. Raphael and her daughter Darcy are the kindest most giving people. They go out of their way to make my daughter feel special and cared about. They also have wonderful summer art camps that are theme related and end with an art show. Michelle is the office manager and is well organized and welcoming to everyone. The Art House is not just a place where your child goes to draw some pictures. It's a place where they learn how to see and how to place what they see on the paper (or canvas, etc.). I watched my daughter grow in skill so much in the 10 years she was there. At the same time, her love of art grew. She didn't want to miss a class. They supported her, encouraged her, and pushed her to give her best and then some. They helped her put together the portfolio that she used to get into Orange County High School of the Arts. I enrolled my boys who struggled to draw. As a parent, it really bothered me. After extensive research, I found Arthouse. My boys have been attending the school for close to 3 yrs. Ms. Darci and the entire staff are awesome. They offer so many classes during the week and are flexible with makeup classes and I think their tuition is very reasonable. We live in Yorba Linda and there are schools here, but the drive is not that bad, 15 minutes max and so worth the drive. I went to The Art House from age five till I graduated high school. During my time there I was taught how to develop my artistic abilities by learning various techniques, becoming familiar with all kinds of media, art history, and ultimately left with a great confidence in my art and in myself as an artist. I am now an art major at Westmont College where I am continuing to pursue my love of art. Amazing Amazing Amazing! My 2 sons have been Art House students for 3 years now. We will never stop. Both look forward to their classes every week. It's the one activity that they always can't wait to go to. I have been ultra impressed with how much they learn EVERY week. They learn so much. I wish I had had this opportunity growing up. They learn about all sorts of styles and types of art and they use amazing materials - real artist stuff. Most importantly, the staff amazes me. My younger son is autistic. He needs a lot of help and patience. They treat him like everyone else, with extreme respect and individual attention. If you were to see the growth he has achieved you would be amazed. This place is a true hidden gem.
