PLEASE READ BEFORE SUBMITTING ANY FORM OF "DEPOSIT" TO THIS CROOK!!! PLEASE READ BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH ANY "CONSULTATION" OR BOOKING HIM FOR ANY SERVICE WHERE A DEPOSIT IS NEEDED TO SECURE AN APPOINTMENT: I wish I can keep this short and simple but the situation does not allow me to. He was referred to me by a friend. I usually do a lot of research before spending my money on a service but I don't know why I took someone's reference seriously and decided to go through with this "business" without more thorough research myself. I contacted him via instagram, submitted my photos for a "consultation", and received a quote. I was quoted $1400 for the extensions and a keratin treatment. Upon making an appointment he requested a 50% "deposit" (see screenshot below). I zelle'd him the deposit of $700. No where before or after (or via text, email, website) did he mention that once the deposit is in, and GOD FORBID you change your mind or something comes up, you can pretty much kiss your deposit goodbye. Most accredited businesses allow a time frame if cancellation is needed. I cancelled with him with OVER 48 HOUR NOTICE. When I requested to receive my deposit back, he refused to return the full amount. He was only willing to return $525 and he keeps the $175. According to him (please see screenshot below) "normally, we don't refund anything when a security deposit is given." Also, when the payment was given, the term "security" wasn't even part of the booking process. It was just "DEPOSIT." When he realized I no longer want to do business with him, that is when the term "security" was added (see below for proof). You can see my frustration in the screenshots below during our conversations via instagram. I am repeatedly asking him the same question on where this was mentioned about him keeping a portion of the money. He does not answer the question once and ended up blocking ME from every platform. If this isn't the most unprofessional, crook, deceptive practice and behavior, I don't know what is. I wanted to get my hair done and feel pretty because I am a registered nurse that works crazy hours and have been feeling really overworked and beaten down with the pandemic. Not to mention, this all took place one week before my 33rd birthday. Not only did he cause so much unnecessary stress to someone who already works in a very stressful environment, disrespected me by not answering my questions and blocking me, but he robbed me of my hard earned money. I had no choice but to file a police report for theft. I also contacted my lawyer who will be in touch with him, AND he has been reported to the Better Business Bureau. This all may seem a little extreme for $175. But it is not even about the money at the end of the day. It is people like HIM that make this world a scary place with his unethical and unjust "business practices" and how he can literally scam people of their hard earned cash without any ounce of remorse or guilt. UPDATE: Went on his website and noticed that he modified his website as of 12/8/20 at 10:56 so it says that a NON REFUNDABLE security deposit is required to confirm the appointment. Of course this is in a barely visible font so he can continue to scam people. Attached the picture as proof of when he modified the website which is AFTER this entire incident. I have been a lifelong client of Ashley's and drive 20 miles from the city just to see her. She is so talented with hair styling and her number one priority is her client. She works so close with me to make sure she can deliver exactly what I want, even if I don't have a great vision of what I want. When I was planning my wedding, I knew I HAD to have Ashley do my hair. I was the 4th out of my close friends to get married in 2 years and we all agreed that my and my bridesmaid's had the best hair out of anyone. Everyone said that if they could do anything over it would be to book Ashley for their wedding hair. I also got extensions from Ashley and I am OBSESSED. She is so detail oriented to make sure the placement and install is perfect. I can wear my hair in any style and you can't see any of the beads-- it's so natural. She also took the time to teach me how to do the maintenance and practiced brushing and styling with me. I recently moved to Arizona and needed to find a new stylist. I am absolutely livid. I made an appointment for teeth whitening on their website and followed the prompts to create an account. I selected the earliest available time which was 9am on a Monday. I thought it was a little strange that an appointment could be made that early since the hours of operation posted were 1pm-9pm. However, I received multiple emails and texts requesting that I confirm my appointment time so I was confident that my appointment was still scheduled. So after getting up and driving over 21 miles in morning rush hour traffic, I am sitting outside of their door, writing this review 40 minutes after my appointment was scheduled after multiple attempts at calling them and leaving messages. My time is very important to me since I can have multiple appointments occuring each day, so I would certainly not waste anymore on a highly unprofessional business such as this. read more

Had the worst experience with this place! Went there to have my hair extensions moved up. And a blow dry. Cost me over $300. And the next day my extensions were falling out. This is did not happen when I had them first placed in by a different salon. I immediately called to have them replaced and when I called, they told me what appointments they had available, which was later in the week. It was not my fault. I thought this review out before posting, and wanted to see first if I could get my money back but that will not be happening. I just want this to help someone out for anyone on the search for extensions not to bash a business. First off, this is a salon suite not a actual salon so please be aware as if there is problems at the end of service you will have to go through two independent hairdressers and if they don't like the commentary on their product and services they will block you so you have no communication of getting ahold of anyone. Second, I was never told another artist would be doing my hair until the day of service. So false advertising. Third, when I had got there yes I did have comments and concerns when I'm about to pay $1600 on hair extensions!! You all should as well!! They were all pushed to the side saying "we got you" "don't worry" and when asked about the color was told in her exact wording "We didn't think you would like that one so who chose this one" My final conclusion, my advice I would give to a future client. I've had four pairs of extensions, none of them looked that fake. I would really advise to go in and feel the hair first before sending a deposit (that you will not get back) as it's a certain thickness. It's "Barbie fake" the hair almost looked synthetic even if it was human hair. The lady that had removed my extensions had told me there was too much of my hair in one bead and it seemed as if they just crammed as much hair as possible, and saying that it was so thick other clients have to have mildew in theirs. I personally wouldn't know that to say that but I did feel harsh pulling compared to the other four times I have gotten extensions. Note that, that harsh of extensions like that will weaken your natural hair, where you will have to wear extensions your entire life to cover the damage. I got my hair done with Milan just a few weeks ago and could not have been happier with the experience I had. He actually LISTENED to what I wanted and did exactly what I had asked (yes I've been scarred from past stylists ). He also took the time to educate me on how to achieve the elaborate balayage look I've been trying to get for years, as well as doing it in steps to not fry or damage my hair. I think getting your hair done is, and always should be , a luxurious experience and he made it just that. I'm super excited to continue working with him ! I'm not happy to write a negative review but hoping to save someone from spending so much $ on a business that does not stand behind their product/services. My review is long, detailed, & very accurate. I found The Artist Known As Milan through his social media advertising, which is clever & seducing. Milan made sure to mentioned at my install appt that it's normal for strands to fall out, even upwards of 20 (which is a lot considering I only had maybe 100 strands). 1st wk good, although noticed a smell from my ext hair when washed. Beginning of the 2nd wk lost 6, by root of hair! I've had ext for yrs & never experienced them falling out by root. I texted Milan freaking out & wanted help. His response, "Heyyyyy!! No worries, don't be scared. Some natural shedding is always in the cylinders too. In the beginning- first few days/weeks it's normal to loose extensions." What!? I was upset. Losing them by the root, & so many, is not normal. No offer to see me & no follow up. By end of Wk 2 lost 18 more, most by root. Now I was worried ext were not put in properly. I was able to see a certified extension stylist, w/many yrs experience, for 2nd opinion. She was kind enough to fix ext that fell out. She said cylinders were too large & heavy for my fine hair & not enough hair was pulled through. She noted most of my ext looked like they had 6 wks outgrowth, I was at 3 wks. They were also placed too close to my hairline, which is fragile hair. The keratin I got didn't stay in in back sections & my highlights there bled & are brassy. I returned next day to remove, re-tip, & refit my ext with smaller cylinders, for fear of losing my hair. I contacted Milan to tell him everything, attached pics, questioned where his ext & cylinders are from & how many bundles I paid for. I asked for my $ back. His response, "Hi, I'm sorry to hear you went somewhere else. As far as Dreamcatchers hair goes- no, I stated I was using my line of hair.. B.B by Milan. Losing up to 25-30 strands between visits is normal. Your follow up app was already scheduled. 5/23. Hair extensions are non refundable." He didn't address questions, acknowledge pics, & again brushed me off. My reply was losing 1/4-1/3 of ext, by root, was not normal/acceptable. Keratin didn't take/wasn't applied correctly, & highlights look terrible in back. I noted he hadn't posted my before/after on social media, obviously wasn't proud of the job he did. I again requested he do reputable thing, stand behind his product/services when things go wrong, & refund me the total, at the very least, partial $ of $1200 I spent with no response. Therefore, filed a complaint with BBB, which he also ignored. Don't be fooled by The Artist Known As Milan's social media advertising. You won't pay for quality label ext hair, install, know where "his line" of hair is from, how many bundles you're paying for, or if they are the right ext for you. Go to someone who uses reputable label quality product & stands behind their work. BTW, haven't lost 1 ext w/new stylist's install & it's been 3 wks! read more

I purchased a Groupon for the micro blading eyebrow service and I was able to get an appointment right away and during late evening hours which was a plus for me because of my busy schedule. I had my appointment with Sophia Athena and she was such a delightful person. Very professional and knowledgeable(who seemed like a doctor more than an artist) and explained the whole process to me, and answered all my 100 questions I had LOL. I wish I could give zero stars. I chose Milan based on his tremendous yelp reviews. I waited an entire month to get in to see him. I was so excited- not to mention in serious need of a haircut! When I showed up for my appointment, he claimed I never confirmed and that my appointment was deleted from his schedule. I received a reminder email/ but not one that requested confirmation. I do utilize other service providers who use Vagaro- I have never had a problem with them. He had already scheduled someone in my place-so I don't know if he is a good stylist or not-- but I do know for a fact that as a business owner his customer service is TERRIBLE.
