The lobby area is really nice. There's quite a few benches and high-top tables. However, if you needs an outlet, you're basically hoping one of the two tables with access to them is open. The concession stand seemed pretty standard for a local rink. A huge plus was the hockey shop onsite. My biggest pet peeve with the rinks here though is that there's an upper level walk between all of them, and sound carries through these very easily. I wish these walks had a wall or doors between them. Often times, we would hear a whistle from the other rink and think it would be meant for us. For my fellow sports photographers: denoise is going to be your best friend while shooting here. The walls are a dark gray, and it heavily effects the photos. The glass is good to shoot through; however, in my images, the other panels came through with a strong green. There is a set of nets protecting fans in the stands, so if you're looking to get some shots from above, you'll have to use the upper walk near the third rink. I had limited interactions with staff, but overall, I didn't get a great impression (mainly from the ice staff). Perhaps it was just a bad weekend, but it did make me feel unwelcomed as a staff member for a visiting team.

I love fireworks shows - I'll travel to 2 or 3 local area fireworks shows especially if they're…read morestaggered on consequetive days. The last 2 years Romeoville's fireworks have been outstanding. Tonight, I should have stayed home and given my dogs their flea bath! Yes, I left the house late, but still - should've (and have always been) able to find parking at a reasonable distance. We wound up sitting in the grass near a subdivision. Someone's blasted SUV alarm went off 3 or 4 times during the show. And the fireworks only lasted 15 minutes! C'mon I know it's tough times but tens of thousands of residents flock to the park for the fireworks, to be awed and forget how tough it is - if only for a brief time. But 15 minutes?!? Like I said - it's tough times - but this fireworks show wasn't worth the gas to get there. and one other issue - I know the police try their best to be fair when directing the traffic after such an event, but to wait almost 20 minutes while east bound traffic gets waved on, then northbound, then south bound, then pedestrians, then start the cycle back at east bound - totally leaving the west bound traffic sitting what felt like forever in this heat - especially with whining kids.

There's also some marked interior trails that are gravel or limestone that seem to go closer to the river. I do not travel those, I would imagine that would produce a lot more bugs. Apparently I have desirable blood, if you're a bug. So, Im not looking to get bit up by insects, so I stay on the main paths. Still have multiple shelters, and plenty of parking at each shelter, & there's grills, there's picnic tables. The dog park is still at Black Road, & and appears to be utilized regularly. Sometimes I'll walk all the way down from Black Road and the trail goes downhill as you get closer to 52/Jefferson and if you continue on it, the path goes underneath 52 and dumps out right behind the bar called Crowd Around Me. Multiple bathrooms along the way, there's semi kept up. I wouldn't say they're super clean but it's an outdoor bathroom. I'll give them this much credit, they are cleaned often enough that they aren't disgusting, and there's usually paper in there. Nice place to walk/bike/E bike/run. Or even gather some folks and have a picnic. Its usually pretty quiet in there. Little more crowded on the weekend, but that's understandable. Worth traveling through. And like I say a good place for exercise.

There's quite a lot of dog poop on the trails so watch. A lot of dog owners come here. It isn't strictly a dog park but it's very friendly for them. There's lots of features including drinking fountains and poop bags if there's any left, which often there aren't so it's advised to bring some bags with you. Also there's trash cans for these bags. The bad thing about this park is you need a permit. Grills are available for cooking. It also has a pavilion. The DuPage River is good for kayaking and wading.

I don't have much experience with the Lithuanian culture, scratch that, I don't have ANY experience…read morewith the Lithuanian culture so I was intrigued by this place with signs in a very unfamiliar language. This was the ceremony site of a friends wedding and it was a great choice. Very cute little cathedral with very high ceilings that connected at an angle. The father speaks Lithuanian so he can perform a dual language ceremony for you (and apparently they have classes in the language here as well). Beyond the cathedral this place is huge! Classrooms, bathrooms, a bathroom with a tub and shower, a kitchen, a beautician on site, a banquet hall, and a dining room that leads out onto a lawn with extra seating. We had the rehearsal dinner here with traditional Lithuanian food, wine and beer catered in (so alcohol is allowed). Definitely a place to keep in mind if you are looking for traditional Lithuanian. i sveikata!
