The location is perfectly placed near Cascades Park and The Edison, which made it really easy to get out and enjoy the area. I took advantage of the trail at Cascades Park a couple of times during my stay. The on-site hotel restaurant was also very good. I had brunch there and it made for a great view. They do have valet parking which is fine, but personally, I prefer a lot so I can come and go as I please. Still, the valet attendants were always very nice and efficient. The hotel staff was also very friendly. I appreciated that they had a designated setup for deliveries, especially since you need your key card to use the elevators. It made everything feel organized and secure. The rooms themselves were great too. One thing I especially loved was the backlighting feature within the rooms. It gave the space a really clean and modern feel. So much counter space in the bathrooms and the lighting was great. Overall, it was a really solid stay and I would definitely stay here again if I find myself back in Tallahassee.

Once my husband turned on the shower he realized why the baseball is for let and involved be in the spot. Apparently, when the housekeeper clean the shower, they don't turn the shower off off to face the shower wall instead is out of the shower and in the direct direction of the wall and baseboard has copying it to get wet when you go in the shower. Other than that, the rooms were clean a location is great. I love having the park across the street and the hotel is dog, friendly, nice and attentive.

There was a sizable Friday night crowd with guests in town for the football game, yet there seemed to be only one guy working the entire area. He was the bartender, cocktail server, food runner, busser, etc. I'm not 100% sure, but he may have been cooking as well--though we didn't order any food. Took a bit of time to order and receive a beer. We gave our room number to settle the bill towards the beginning. We asked for a check 3-5 times then after about 45 minutes, we simply gave up. There's a pool table along with a smattering of social "board" games. Things even spill over into the adjacent pool area. On Saturday, we walked through on our way out to dinner, and they had live music. Certainly a nice touch. With the proper staffing, this place could have run much smoother. You get 50% off of valet, 2 complimentary drinks at the rooftop bar, delicious , complimentary breakfast buffet, AND $25 off 347 Grill/Shula's Steakhouse. They spoiled me so much, I'm going to expect this type of treatment everywhere! The beds are really comfortable. Improvements: The toilets don't flush well. I had to switch rooms bc the toilet in my first room clogged. The glass doors and sinks in the bathrooms are cloudy and look worn with watermarks. The bathroom showers have stains and what looks to be mold in them... additionally, there's very little privacy when using the restroom bc the doors don't have proper sealing and are thin, glass... I always lock my card while traveling, and in all my years staying at Marriott properties, I've never once had a card charged before check-in or a reservation canceled without a call. This was shady, inconsiderate, and completely avoidable. To make it worse, the property looked nothing like the photos dimly lit, outdated, and tired. Believe the reviews that say it's run-down. The staff was rude, dismissive, and lacked professionalism. Thankfully, I booked Hotel Indigo within minutes bright, modern, and welcoming. I'll gladly pay three times the price for a place that values honesty and service. Marriott used to be my go-to, but after this experience, I'm done with this property and seriously rethinking Marriott altogether.

There was an accident on the freeway and it was 4 :40 p.m. when I arrived. All the intrigates were already shut and locked. I was annoyed as they are supposed to be open until 5:00, but I understand that some people are excited to go home and want to close up and leave early. Undeterred, I got a hotel for the night and made sure to come back first thing in the morning. I could not be more confused by the reviews. It looked to me like no one had been taking care of the grounds at all. The grass was brown, and a thick layer of leaves was covering everything. When I went to park in one of the few spaces I saw, a woman in a sedan opened her car door and let her three small dogs run out off leash. I watched them dedicate while she sat in her car on the phone and I knew it was time to go. I can see now why the employees are keen to leave early.
