There are walking paths that loop around and through and must go for several miles. They have a small amphitheater in the middle where I'm sure there are performances and concerts here and there. A big splash pad is on one side, and I know the kiddos love that especially on a warmer day. They have a big playground on the other side, and there are some bathrooms as well just in case. Intertwined are some pond/ creek areas that add to the beauty of this park. It's a super lovely walk around, and my favorite part are the pillars towards one end that tell the history of Tallahassee- racial tensions, civil war and repair and more. It brings more light onto the capitol city and its roots.

Our theater group, the MIckee Faust Club, has been performing there, rehearsing there, meeting there since we lost our old Clubhouse so we've come to know it well. The food is good, the drinks are great and the Karaoke leads to a lot of sing-alongs. We love Dan the bartender. And Russ built Faust a ramp to the stage so we could continue or 38 year long tradition of our stages being accessible. We love retiring to the bar to chat and drink and just hang out after rehearsals and shows. We say hey to Princess, the hand-raised parrot as we come and go. She has a few choice words to say in return. It's just a neat, cool place. I love it!

You can hear it in the elevators, in the rooms, it is blaring and blasting. The lobby is not a club, it's a lobby. Simply not needed. I will never come back to the property for this reason alone. Even at 7a in the morning, on the elevator, it is thumping. Second, broken destroyed TV remote. And, sliding barn-style door for bathroom would not slide. Not even budge. No clue. Lastly, I am not sure if Marriott constructed this facility or took it over, but the walls a extremely thin. It was more like a curtain between rooms rather than walls. Whether it was the dog whimpering and yelping on one side, or the extremely loud people on the other, it was nearly unbearable. Nope.

The greens and bunkers are in great shape, the fairways are good but could use a little improvement in places, which to their credit, it appears they are working on. Had a great round, pace was good, slower groups were very courteous and allowed me to play through though I never asked to do so. Staff is pleasant and seems to be on top of things. Service in the restaurant and pro shop was great. Just an all around great experience. I would drive an hour or two to play this course again.
