Horrible experience. Was followed around the whole time. Everything's overpriced. Staff is not very knowledgeable. The only tolerable person there is the gentleman with the glasses/ponytail. Every time I'd come in he'd be very friendly and tell me something new about my sign. But literally all the women there (2 or 3, they all look the same) are horribly rude and stuck up. Brought in a resume once to work there since I shopped there so often and she turned her nose up at me and asked "Are you a psychic?" when I said no, she practically threw my resume back at me. Very short tempered, very stuck up. You're better off going to the New Age store on Thunderbird; everyone there is SO nice, ready and willing to ask questions, and the prices are slightly cheaper and they have better stock. read more

I have been going here regularly for about a year. Dave was the first medium I had ever met. I did a private reading with him and can say that he is the real thing. It gave me a lot of closure. Ray who usually works in the front is very friendly and helpful. Simia who does tarot readings there is amazing. She seems to know things that she couldn't possibly have known when doing my readings. Very specific and accurate. She's very nice too. Catherine does palm readings and it was very accurate. I love the aura photos here. Their 'reader' Kate told me I had a fatal neurological disease! Imagine my surprise! By the way, no I do not have a fatal neurological disease, but this 'reader' kept telling me I did through the entire ordeal of a reading. She kept saying "you have the 'energy' of my friend who has MD. You are in the early stages of the disease. One day you will reach for something and won't be able to do it. Didn't your father have Parkinsons?" (No, he doesn't). Isn't he dead? (No, very much alive). What do you do for a living? (shouldn't you know as a 'psychic?'). Are you married? (if you can tell me I have some fatal disease should'nt you know this little fact?). I tried to gently give her a chance to back off of such a ridiculous statement but she wouldn't budge. What if someone was gullible enough and believed thatl? Dave ruins his reputation allowing someone in his shop who does this. Please people, steer clear. This woman could really hurt somone. read more

Tried to visit The Astrology Store today. Got there at 5:30. They aren't supposed to close until 6, but the doors were locked. Someone saw me there, came and unlocked the door, asked if I was there to "get something." I most likely would have bought something, but didn't have anything specific in mind, so I just said I was going to browse. The guy goes "oh, no," closes the door in my face, and locks it again, guaranteeing I will NEVER be purchasing anything, because I'll never be back. read more

If you like metaphysical shops, this store should hit all the main points. I stopped in one weekend to check out some crystals, and they have a nice, diverse selection of polished stones. This place is great for incense and metaphysical books. Although they advertise tarot cards I didn't see any for sale at the time. One of the staff members was attentive but the other seemed completely out of it and unable to ring up my purchase without a bit of difficulty. Apparently they provide services like aura photography, massage, mehndi and other related services, but there seemed not to be anyone around to actually provide those services. All in all, I'm a fan, but be sure to have a little patience with the staff when you go. read more

This place is fantastic. I can't get enough of it. The energy is positive and I immediately feel calm when I walk through the door. Personally, the staff has always been kind to me and I always feel welcome. I enjoy browsing the store but, most recently, I come for the group medium night. Two words - LIFE CHANGING. i'm guessing the older woman is the owner. she was very rude to us and talked/laughed at us with her employee. they follow you around like you're about to steal any minute. this place is nothing special and the customer service will make me never come back again. very unprofessional, don't come here unless you want to feel uncomfortable and uneasy. they are overpriced as well and the crystals are not good quality. I came in a couple weeks ago for an amethyst crystal. It was only a few dollars and the women working were so friendly, Katie and Loretta. I told them I would be back soon after my surgery. So today I came in to look around and get incenses for my incense burner at home. Blue was very friendly and helpful with the questions I had. I will be back again soon. Thanks so much ladies. I used to think highly of this store, but now I understand that they dont have any compassion for their customers, and only care about profits. Hey, I get it, your a business and making money is the whole point. But, customer appreciation apparently isn't important coming from a supposed happy energetic and spiritual enlightenment store. They don't accept returns, exchanges, credit, or refunds! It states it on the register. It's apart of their policy and they follow it strongly. I respect that, however, here is my issue. And here is where the profits over customer comes in. A few days ago, I purchased the wrong goddess for my altar. When I purchased her, the manager asked me who it was while at the same time, answering her own question by stating the goddesses true name, I said to her what I thought the goddess was because I thought she was wrong (when it turns out,her statement was correct) she didn't correct me and just said okay. She went through with the purchase, knowing that I was mistaken about the statue, and didn't try to correct me or help me with finding the correct one. A few days later I realized the mistake, i knew I could not keep her and wanted to give her back. As such because I didn't want to disrespect the goddess in any way. I called the store and spoke about my issue, and the lady said that they could do nothing, respectfully to their policy. I asked if there was anything they could do to help and in which she stated, and I quote, "absolutely not". She showed no sympathy or compassion, and needless to say I was shocked. Now knowing that there was nothing they would do, I still wanted to return the statue. I didn't want to keep it in my home, and wanted to give her back so she could find a better home. Knowing that I might get nothing back. So, I drove for an hour and a half in rush hour traffic, a total of 45 miles with no AC, just to go to the store and return the statue. When I get there, they basically tell me again about the policy, and seemed shocked that I would just give her back. They showed no compassion, and never apologized for the horrible inconvenience that this has caused me. I thought they may do something, and I would have gladly excepted say 5% off my next purchased I could always use something there as they have a lot of supplies, but I got nothing. They took the statue back, and I'm sure they will resell it for double the profit. I told them I would not come back, but they said nothing to keep me as a customer. They showed they did not value me or my situation. No help, just nothing. Only to tell me no. With that I left, and I won't come back. I take responsibility for not knowing enough of the goddesses, as well as putting myself through hell to return the statue. I know I could have sold it in offerup or given it away for free. I however did not want to put myself through the stress of solving the issue, for a mistake that could have been prevented by the manager begin more knowledgeable about her inventory and helping me find the correct statue instead of allowing me to buy the wrong one when she knew otherwise. I hope the goddess statue goes to a loving home. Be aware of this place in that they want your money, and care less about your spiritual journey. I respect their policy, but the lack of customer appreciation was appalling. read more

Unfortunately, there is not a place to select negative stars. I have been in the metaphysical community for 40 years. I am an authority in paranormal activity, mediumship,Shamanism,reader,astrologer,numerologist. I have been blessed to have worked with the best in the world. I have seen many fakes and charlatans over the years. And unfortunately this store is on that list. For those who do not know any better or have nothing better to do? I am sure they would appear great and all knowing. That is okay if you are looking for a overly priced book which you can get on amazon for less. There is a reason why no one in the spiritual communities shops there. They are too expensive. They do not hire reputable readers with true ability. The legit readers that do work there do not stay long for this reason. The staff that I have encountered were rude and condescending and uneducated. I have been treated better at the gap or k-mart. If you are looking for a real spiritual guidance,healing,readings,help with the paranormal etc go to the real deal. There are a few places in the valley. One shop is just is just a few hundred feet east from this place in old town Glendale on the south side of Glendale ave. I think It is called the crescent moon .I stopped in this place after leaving the so called astrology store. I think they just opened-- They do not have as many things on the shelf. However they can order pretty much order anything you need at a very affordably price. I met the owner Debbie. She is legit and a wonderful person. She is the real deal and so is her staff.---Knows her business...... You can feel the difference when you walk in the door. I don't understand why an astrology store cares if people park in their parking lot after they are closed? We were at a place near by when the owners asked us if we were parked in the astrology store's back lot. Apparently they hire a company to come tow people every night. What kind of psychics need a tow company? Shouldn't they already know if someone parks in their lot? And, being semi-hippie, shouldn't they be ok with people using their lot after hours? My friend and I both had a 10 min reading with a guy who reads taro cards with longer hair here. HORRIBLE!! I have had many readings from bad to great. It was weird. Nothing about me. Literally said...what I say is vague and you take what I say and use it to ur own situation...WTF. Only time I wanted to ask for my money back. Not worth the $15... Not worth $1.
