We stopped here on our way to go hiking and they were so accommodating! We had our dog with us and they allowed us to sit on the patio with her, and brought her a bowl of water (which she promptly dumped - ha). We ordered breakfast, and the service was quick, and the food was solid. I was impressed with how big the omelette was, and it really hit the spot. There were lots of tables inside, including a bigger one for a group. Street parking was easy, we found a space in front of the restaurant. Glad we found this little spot! read more

Went to the Attic with spouse and friends for lunch before visiting the nearby Miles Through Time auto museum. Dining area is very comfortable, clean and spacious. Very inviting patio for when a bit warmer. Hosts were friendly and helpful. We were promptly seated. Service was very timely. The broad all American menu has something for everyone. Some got burgers and were pleased. I got the amazing French dip (and fries) and was super pleased, served hot, outstanding, and so big! Spouse got lobster bisque which was surprisingly excellent, better than many fancy big city seafood restaurants, along with a delicious grilled salmon salad. We always enjoy the food! Usually so good and this time was no exception. It was delicious!!! BUT........ why was there more onions than meat in my Philly? And why did it come with au juis like my hubbys french dip? They were the exact same sandwich, only he got white onions and I got red. So Many Onions!!!! And because of the cup of juice that obviously spilled all over my plate, my bread was wetter than his, which was soaked on bottom as well. Made for a very soggy sandwich, which we had to tear off and leave unedible. Same with the fries, floating in meat juice. Just too much for a really good review. The wait was ridiculous! Should have left then. Didn't even take our names for over 10 min. They were clearly not staffed for this Labor Day in a "tourist" town. The Attic was unfortunately a disappointing experience for a family dinner. The ambiance and service were both really good here but nothing special. The area looks very nice and has some nice windows so it seemed like a solid spot for some good food. Unfortunately, good food was not the experience that my family had. Out of 6 people, none had anything stellar to say about the food. There were complaints ranging from a long wait time to frozen cocktail sauce to just a lack of flavor in the meal. Personally, I had the daily special, the 'Oklahoma Smash Burger' which I was told had cheese, sautéed onions, lettuce, tomato, and "the normal burger stuff". I asked for it without the onions because I love a smash burger but when it came out it was just a small burger patty and one slice of cheese on a small bun. While the taste was fine it was still disappointing given what I was expecting (lettuce/tomato, etc). The fries I had on the side were also just mediocre. Overall, I don't think all be returning to The Attic after a poor experience from my whole family. read more

Three of us went out for a girls dinner. Kayla was the bartender and also our server. Even though she was doing both, she was attentive. One ordered the smoked salmon dip. It wasn't to our liking, so we got the spinach artichoke dip. The tortillas that came with it were delicious. Our orders were simple pasta, grilled hearts of romaine salad, and ribeye with baked potato. The pasta was a large portion, so there were leftovers. The grilled salad was good, and not something that had been tried before. The ribeye was cooked just right, and the potato was, too. Sometimes potatoes are just easy to mess up. Tried the homemade brownie for dessert. It's a chocolate chip cookie/brownie hybrid. This one was definitely more cookie than brownie. Would like to go back and try other menu items! read more

We had a wonderful lunch at The Attic. We visited a few days after Christmas and were seated quickly. I loved the layout and energy of the restaurant. They also seemed to have a few rooms that would be great for parties. I went with the french dip sandwich. I still keep thinking about how good the rosemary flavor was in the dip. The bread had the perfect crunch, meat was delish. We also had the spinach/artichoke dip- the chips they served with it were awesome. I'm guessing they are made in-house, possibly to order. Definitely recommend. Sweet tea was great, service was fast and friendly. I don't live locally, but would definitely be back ASAP for more of their menu if I did! read more

We came here for dinner salmon was perfect. Then came back two days later for lunch. I had the French dip sandwich. This was the best French Dip I have ever had. The service both times was perfect. We had dinner recently at The Attic restaurant in Clarkesville, Georgia, and it was excellent. My wife is a vegetarian and they prepared a special order for her. They are always willing to accommodate her requests. I had the Bourbon New York Strip Steak, and it was a great choice. The steak came with a wonderful bourbon glaze, as well as a side of glaze for dipping. The steak also came with asparagus and red skinned potatoes as sides. We followed dinner with the brownie (topped with vanilla ice cream) dessert. Everything was delicious and the service was great. We got fried green tomatoes for appetizer which were served plain and seemed like they were just defrosted from a freezer bag. I got a wedge salad that was good enough and my husband got a Reuben and he said he enjoyed it. The cocktails we got were overly sweet. If what you think you see before you is a country-fried steak, you'd be mistaken. This is a Pecan Encrusted Trout with a peach glaze. Although I would say "encrusted" is less accurate and this was more like pecan "entombed." There was so much pecan crust. It was thicker than the actual trout. After a few bites of tasting nothing but pecans, I peeled off the rest of it so I could enjoy the trout. Pecans are expensive. There was so much cover-up of pecans, it felt criminal. read more

Had very early NYE reservations (before 7pm). Restaurant wasn't crowded. Sat down and waited almost 20 minutes for server to come over. Finally showed up and was training a new person. Took our drink order and while that was being prepared about 6 more tables showed up. About half of the new tables got their drinks and orders in before they came back to us. We finally ordered our appetizer and meals. I stated to have the main plates put in so we could eat our appetizers. Nope... appetizer came out and within 5 minutes of our main dishes coming out. My $44 steak ordered medium was raw. No one came to check on how our food was so my husband had to get up to ask them to come over. The server said she's at the front and couldn't come. So there I sat eating a baked potato. They forgot my side salad. So my husband got up again and asked for the salad and remind them of my steak. They finally brought the salad and we returned the steak to be cooked properly. So I ate my salad. Then they brought the steak back and while not perfect it was close enough and I ate that separately. By the time we finished our meal the restaurant was cleared out. They did give a discount on the steak but that's it. The service was horrible. There was zero training. When we asked for a bag for our appetizers they just handed a closed bag to us not even offering to open it or bag our container. We were very disappointed to end the year with an expensive meal that wasn't good. Will not go back. read more

The space is really cute and we had much higher hopes, but were let down and haven't been back since. (8 months ago.) The spinach artichoke dip had no recognizable spinach or artichokes. As a matter of fact, when it came out we asked if we got someone else's food. The dip tasted and had similar texture to cream of mushroom soup. Our drinks were okay, but nothing we would order again. We stopped as we were passing through town. Lovely restaurant set in the location that was once a Texaco station. We dined on the outdoor patio, three of us. Our server, Landon, was excellent. Even though they said they were short staffed, he was very attentive and our lunch was timely. My husband had the French dip sandwich with fries and he said it was excellent. It was a lot of food, and he brought home half. I had a Reuben with a cold glass of beer. It was delicious--cooked perfectly with a little crispness to the rye bread. My significant other and I took a weekend trip to Clarksville and our Airbnb host highly recommended this restaurant, so of course I had to check it out! To start the night, we both ordered delicious cocktails. I don't recall the exact name, but they won't disappoint. We ordered the pimento cheese lobster appetizer and OH MY GOODNESS do you need to order this. Any dish that includes lobster always get my attention but also my skepticism that it won't have enough meat. This restaurant did NOT hold back on the lobster meat. It was more of a lobster meat nestled in pimento cheese and layered with breadcrumbs appetizer. To make it even better, they serve it with freshly fried wontons. I will forever be dreaming about this appetizer! For dinner we both ordered a fish dish, mine was pecan encrusted and my partners was stuffed with spicy cheese and rock shrimp. The portions were more than generous and it all tasted delicious. Plus my sweet potatoes were more like a delicious pie than a vegetable! 10/10 This place will always hold a special place in my heart and I hope I get to come back some day! read more

Have you ever heard of a happy accident? We always go to Copper Pot so this was a new one for us. The fried green tomatoes were a little different than what we were used to, but VERY good. I don't want to say the best I've ever had... but I also, want to say BEST I've ever had. Crisp dry battered and fried, not greasy or messy at all. I had the roasted red pepper soup.. SO good! Fresh and tangy happiness. We also had the chips and white cheese. Queso dilla, and spicey dipping sauce. The smokey attack was amazing. The bison burger was very tasty and cooked to perfection. The bacon jam was extra...didn't order it but got I anyway and had to pay for it. The smoked trout drip was so cold...like they'd pre made it and just pulled it out of fridge and really it was cream cheese with a hint of smoked fish with dill on top. The Gaelic ale was good but 70 bucks for two bison burgers dip and one beer...that's a lot for lunch. Wouldn't do lunch again but maybe dinner. read more
