Returning from a long day at Tallulah, we found this pizza joint along the return route. I always have a heart for local businesses, and this was no exception. The restaurant itself is very small, white tile floors and only 3 tables in the dining space. It was almost as if a small home was retrofitted into a restaurant. We were immediately welcomed, and seated ourselves at one of the tables. Now for a little pizza math. The pricing for the pies was a little unique: they come in 3 sizes and all toppings cost extra. However, when you order a pizza with 2 toppings, you get 2 more for free, which is what most people do. Toppings also go up in price the larger the pizza, so I just went with the smallest size. The medium size could feed two people uncomfortably--the last slice will probably be fought for. The larger size could probably feed a large family of dwarves, or a small family of people. I ordered the smallest pie with sausage, pepperoni, mushroom, and olives for my toppings. Total was around $7, which isn't TOO bad. Pies were out the oven fairly quickly, piping hot with oozing cheese. The crust:pizza ratio was larger than I would have liked, but tolerable. The toppings on the pizza kept sliding back to forth, which was a hassle on top of the stretchy cheese. The sauce in the pizza was a bit under-seasoned, but the sausage and pepperoni counteracted it. The top of the pizza wasn't too oily, a plus to those watching their figures. I really just love this place for its service. Food was fairly average, but family run restaurants always have some little bit of charm. The boy at the cash register was the child of the owner, and said he was going to take over the business in the future. Adorable. read more

Most people are not use to a northern style of pizza. It is thin and fold-able. The pizza dough is home made and baked in a pizza oven which can make the bottom look burnt, but it is not. The ingredients are fresh and top quality. If you want doughy, gummy crust with not much flavor....go some where else...like one of those pizza chains. read more
