The lighting is excellent here. Great, intimate concert venue and friendly crowd. The age range seems to vary a bit. A few people besides myself knew Noizu. Drinks here are reasonable prices. I think they keep it reasonable with smaller quantities which I actually like. Most of the drinks didn't seem overpowering which I prefer. The venue design, the clean bathroom even with a guy handing us a paper towel to be sustainable with the trash, the way the drinks are advertised even I feel help create a friendly, safe vibe. There were probably about 10 people who liked the reversible sequin and one of them figured out that the artist name was on there but not clearly on the jacket at that point. I mean, that f-er could've been even a bit bright for me, lol. I didn't see a screen for the stage in the back which I would have loved but one of the reviewers said that they saw this. So hopefully when I am here, I can see this as I know I will not want to be in the front waiting the whole time like decades ago, lol. My favorite venue in Philly to watch EDM shows! It's way better than Noto. You have tons of space to dance and the drinks aren't horribly priced. My only complaint is most of their shows are 18+, wish it was 21+ every time. read more

I flew from Florida to Philadelphia to go to a show with my girlfriend. We are both 24 years old, she was allowed into the club and I was stopped for a "Fake ID" with my real government issued ID. Instead of admitting that the bouncer was wrong, the bouncer insisted I was underage and made my girlfriend and I leave the venue. I am sure the bouncer knew it was real after she double checked, but was too embarrassed to admit it. She was incredibly rude and did all that for no reason, though I will say the manager bouncer was a nice guy and handled the situation more professionally. Because of this my girlfriend and I Wasted over $400 total to go see this show just to be denied at the door for no reason. Never coming back, telling everyone I know how horrible this place is. I will be flying to anywhere else to watch the show next time. Thanks a lot! Nobody go here unless you want to buy whippets in line outside the door from underage kids. read more

This by far the best club in Philly. The Artists are great the bartenders and staff are good folk. I love the interior design and the sound system and lighting is awesome is awesome. I see other reviews on this club and they point out things they don't like but they don't explain they are just bitching they didn't get their way one review says I couldn't bring my drink anywhere that's because you can't bring your drink out of the vip area so minors can't drink which is valid grow up. If you want a fun night with friends (or even alone for the right DJ), the Ave is such a fun spot! They have affordable tickets with some of the best and most famous DJs (but make sure you know what you're in for, as most of the nights are EDM). For me, i have had some of my best nights out at the Ave! The sound is great (but make sure you bring your earplugs just like any concert-- and if you forget, you can purchase some at the merch table). They also have great lasers! The bathroom lines are reasonable, and there is an attendant who keeps it clean. If you are someone who doesn't love the packed crowd, there is also a back area and upper part where the sound is still great (and they have the DJ projected on a side screen). Bartenders are quick, friendly, and drinks are relatively reasonably priced compared to any city club. Overall, five stars and would recommend! read more

The Ave Live is where it's at in Philly, my friends. I was in town for a two day indoor music festival at the convention center and on the second night, I had tickets for the after party. It happened to be held here at The Ave Live. I peeked at their Yelp page but it was hard to gauge. When I got there, I was delightfully surprised. The space is neat af. There's a big stage to the right of the entrance, it's split level with able amounts of space for dancing, I noticed three different bars, and the bathrooms were clean. The second floor in the back is mirrored and has greenery dangling from the ceiling along with fun disco balls. There's also mural art all throughout. The sound from the stage was good from all angles and their light setup was solid. If I lived in town I would definitely frequent this venue for music and clubby vibes. read more

This place was full of kids. When I say kids I literally mean children. The funny thing is my friend's ID (she's 23) got taken and we had to call the cops to come retrieve it. Drinks r pretty expensive for a club but not beyond expensive. Overall just don't aim to come here it was so borning and way too young of a crowd. Just go a bar. Very clean bathrooms and good facilities. The dance floor has many options and it's pretty good vibes most of the time. Love the decor and lots of photo ops. Couches on the back wall are very much appreciated as well. Single vodka soda is $16 and double vodka soda is $24, just to get a sense of prices. Pours are decent but not super generous. All the staff and security members were friendly. Pro tip: If you are trying to get in before 11pm free of charge, you better get there at 10 because by 1030 the line is long and they start milking the line so that you have to pay cover. Prices are generally more expensive at the door because "online prices don't include the fees and stuff and so it comes out about the same". That's probably the worst part about the club. Those fees are BS to begin with so why just "include" them. read more

Was not let in to Eric Prydz due to being "visibly intoxicated". I was not the only one told this and the other people appeared to be fine as well. I do not plan to revisit this venue ever again. I never got the chance to enjoy this place. It would have been my first time going to enjoy a show last year (2019) for the Mos Def concert. At this point, the concert has been cancelled several times and The Ave Live has not returned the $160+ I spent on those concert tickets. After calling frequently for a year, posting on their Instagram and emailing them I am still out of money. So disappointing since I love live music. I was hoping to patronize their business for years to come. This venue is extremely careless. They allowed a baby (no older than one year old) into the venue because it was of close relation to the DJ. They did put noise canceling headphones on the child but that doesn't take away from the vape smoke, cigarette smoke and weed smoke filling the air poisoning that poor baby. Shame on the owners & security for allowing this and shame on the mother for prancing around with her child strapped on her chest as she drank the night away. My absolute favorite place to go to on the weekends! Their staff is superb and you can tell they love working there. There are multiple bars so you can always get a drink but they just upgraded their VIP section and it's definitely worth it!
