I absolutely loved my experience at Cozy's! I had been having a rough week and just needed a little escape, so I decided to hang out at the bar for a while -- and I'm so glad I did. The bartender was AMAZING. She was so sweet, welcoming, and made me some great drinks. She honestly helped turn my whole week around! And the food?! The French toast was absolutely amazing, and the loaded tater tots were TOP-TIER. Everything was so good. The atmosphere is what really got me, though. The vibes were immaculate! It genuinely felt like I had gotten away for a little while and wasn't even in Cincinnati anymore. I enjoyed myself so much that I came back the very next week and brought my godmother with me! Cozy's is definitely a hidden gem and has officially made it into my rotation. Great food, great drinks, beautiful atmosphere, and even better hospitality. 10/10 experience! read more

What a fantastic first-time last minute brunch decision! Met up with my 2 girlfriends for a Sunday brunch on a holiday weekend and had the best time! Unfortunately, the weather was rainy so we didn't get to explore the whole property but from what we could see it is quite inviting, cute & COZY! The decor is so unique and I'm sure each time we go, we'll see something new which we hadn't seen before. We had an amazing server Paige! She was incredibly helpful when asked about the menu and incredibly patient and accommodating with our questions and changes/adds to our orders! This gal just glowed with personality, which made our experience that much better! The food was absolutely delicious...although at first difficult to choose from, but with the help from Paige, we each ordered three main brekkie entrees and shared them all... a perfect solution! Lunch for my wife and I. Outside looked great until the lightning flashed. They had a seat for us inside at the ready. The menu was more of a brunch. Their coffee was top notch. I had a very good burger (4.5 out of 5 stars). My wife had the poached egg crab cake. There were 2 cakes (that I would think is a good portion). The cheesy grits tasted a little off. They had more spice than grits should have. The outdoor ambiance seemed great until the storm. I like the place. read more

Cozy's Cafe & Pub is a sprawling restaurant that feels small and comfy. Room after room provides niches that feel like your very own. Perhaps this is because we were a group of seven and we had a spot in the Pub section that was half comfy booth and half chairs. It was set apart from everything else in the place. It felt special. Our server took great care of us. Between us ordering and the food being brought to the table, someone stopped by to let us know the soup of the moment had changed. I see now it is aptly named. I heard from someone in our group that the person delivering the message about the soup was the manager. Whether she was or not, she delivered the message with aplomb and made sure everyone that had ordered soup was okay with the new soup of the moment. Everyone was okay with the change. I heard the "new" soup of the moment was fantastic. While I did take pictures of everyone's food, I didn't get input from everyone so I'll share what I learned starting with me. I opted for something healthy, the Quinoa Bowl - quinoa - chopped spinach - avocado - cucumber - tomato - chef's potato hash - almonds - fresh berries - orange basil vinaigrette. Wow, it was a lot of food and a lot of quinoa. It was also delicious! And I felt so very healthy eating it. Even though it was a LOT of food and I ate all of it, I was not stuffed when finished. Rather, I was pleasantly satisfied. Mark had Chicken Salad and soup. He had house chicken salad - local greens - tomato - buttery croissant. It came with one side and Mark opted for soup. It ended up being cauliflower, carrot and I'm not sure what else, but he raved about it. He mentioned it had a great garlic flavor. He also enjoyed the massive serving of chicken salad. My friend got BLACKENED SALMON - faroe island salmon - house blackening - arugula - piquillo pepper aioli - tomato - sourdough. She asked for it lightly blackened, which I think is how it came. She didn't eat the bread. She asked for potato salad but was brought soup. She did not ask to have the error corrected. Another friend ordered CRUNCHY FRENCH TOAST - sweet crunchy french toast - chef's apricot glaze - local milligan's syrup - choice of breakfast meat (turkey sausage for her). She thought it was too crunchy and difficult to eat, meaning she needed to use a fork and a knife. She said it was okay. I think I might have liked it crunchy, but I have to rely on her review. Another friend had CROQUE MADAME - country ham - gruyere cheese - two farm fresh over easy eggs - dijon - house béchamel - sourdough. It looked incredible and she did a good job of eating most of it. The last meal must have been EGGPLANT PARMESAN - house pomodoro sauce - seasoned fried eggplant - mozzarella -parmesan - hoagie roll - one side (soup). It looked great. I didn't ask him how it tasted. We took a piece of their world famous carrot cake home. It came with caramel sauce, candied walnuts and dried and maybe candied carrot shreds. It was HUGE! I didn't take a picture because all I wanted to do was eat it! I have to say it could have been more moist. It was very good. The icing was not too sweat and the toppings made the overall flavor more unique. I think there could have been more of the toppings for the size of the piece of cake. That said, we ate every last bite! I have to say I wish Cozy's Cafe & Pub was closer because it seems they do a great job preparing meals and taking care of their guests. The setting is beautiful, we sat on the patio. There was live music. The musician played a steel drum and sang. It felt like being on vacation. The food was decent, but not worthy of the setting or cost IMO. One of meals was incorrect, no offer to adjust price or replace. The server admitted she put the order in wrong. Really wanted to give this place a good review.Everything I've heard is that they are the best place in the area.I made a reservation, found out that for the time slot it wasn't necessary. Out of all the places that they sat us, because the place was empty, was by a hostess station and a bathroom in the furthest corner of the place. I wish I asked to sit somewhere else but I just am not like that. Flies everywhere during our meal. On us, on our food , it just was so unpleasant. Someone beside us had to get a wasp out of the window. OMG! This place is supposed to be the bomb!!! Dishes would have been good if it weren't so sauced up. Dessert we took home was very delicious and thats about the best thing I can say about it all. No! I take that back, our sweet waitress was very good. She needs to go someplace that she doesn't need to explain why the little boys that they hired to be busboys brought the wrong food to our table because they don't have a clue about the menu. We came here for dinner and the food was wonderful. We got the crab in a cup as a starter, and it was warm and flavorful. We also each got a pasta, the carbonara and the gnocchi. You could tell everything was made fresh. Lastly, our favorite thing was the carrot cake. It was very moist and a huge portion. It also wasn't too sweet, but had an underlying taste of cinnamon. Brought my family here for my daughter's birthday. Was looking for somewhere unique with a good vibe but not too fancy/pretentious. The place is really cool and unique so everything started great. They have great indoor and outdoor seating areas, can't say enough about all of that. It was a beautiful night and was pleasant sitting outside except for the bugs and the live music wasn't our favorite but it was fine. Food: The waitress brought fresh biscuits and butter, they were good. Even really good. It took awhile to get an app order in and we had the artichoke dip which was good, but not great. For entrees we were told they were out of the fried chicken which a couple of us wanted to order, so we had to pick something else which is fine, but it's not a big menu. We ended up ordering the classic burger, chicken parm, short rib, and calamari. Unfortunately, they were all mediocre at best. Not much flavor in any of them and nothing noteworthy about any of the dishes. For the prices it was pretty disappointing. I doubt we will go back. It had a lot of promise and with some better food it could be an amazing place. But something is just off and as such I can't recommend it unless you are just looking for somewhere to have a couple drinks with a great ambiance. read more

A Disappointing Birthday Dinner The evening started well. Cozy's has great decor and ambiance. The biscuits with whipped butter were delicious. Unfortunately, they would be the best thing we ate. My husband ordered the braised short rib. The grits were good, but the short rib was not consistent. Some was good but some of it was dry and tough. I ordered the crab cakes which are quite over priced for what they are. There was not a single lump of crab to be had. I would call them lightly seared crab flavored breading. There was an exceptionally long wait for our dinners and our server seemed disinterested in us and whether or not we were having a great experience. She would ask a question or make a statement that required a response from us, and would start walking away before we had a moment to answer. When I made the reservation, I put that it was for a birthday. No acknowledgment of this was made by anyone at Cozy's. I'm not looking for a free dessert, but saying "Happy birthday, thank you for spending it here" goes a long way. We do not plan to eat here again as there are so many better places in the area for the same price point. I definitely would not recommend Cozy's for a special occasion. read more

This location has a pretty big parking lot. The restaurant looks like a converted house and has a large outdoor patio. We made reservations through Resy. We were seated quickly and there was a decent size crowd but our waitress was efficient and checked in right away for drinks and food order. The interior has a homey feel and is well decorated with a rustic farmhouse feel. There is a bar area as well. The bathroom has some great pearls of wisdom. The food was really good. I got the eggs Benedict and the hollandaise was really yummy. I substituted gluten free bread for the English muffin. My husband also enjoyed his eggs and sausage with hash browns. I was intrigued. Anyway.. this place was POPPIN' - like.. Okayyyyyy lol. Pretty spacious establishment, super busy - but service was still very good. Allergy Review!! Firstly, vibes 10/10! it lives up to it's Cozy name! Cozy's was an old house transformed into the cozy's country style pub. Perfect place to sit inside for a rainy night & filling meal, or a beautiful sunny day on their patio & some fun dishes! Waitstaff was very friendly! Our server Izzo and I bonded over all the gluten free options around the area! They had a few gluten free options on their menu, but she informed me that Cozy's summer menu was coming and they were happily working on adding a lot more Gluten Free items to their menu! (Yay!) My husband and I both ordered the Spicy Arrabbiata with bison sausage with a side of charred broccolini. Mine with gluten free pasta and switched the cheese from Burrata to Parmesan! It came out exactly how I wanted it! I thought it was so cute that they immediately came out with biscuits for the table. Unfortunately, I couldn't eat them. But my husband loved them. We came in on a weekday evening for drinks and dinner at the bar. The music was great and the food was good, but the service was disappointing. In the past, we've always had great experiences here--the managers were attentive, the service was strong, and the food was consistently good. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case this time. We had our first drink but were never offered water, biscuits, or a second round--even after sitting with empty glasses for over 20 minutes. The bartender seemed overwhelmed, juggling both tables and a full bar, and was really trying her best, meanwhile what appeared to be a manager stood nearby watching and chatting with someone at the bar instead of stepping in to help. If you're planning to visit on a weekday evening, I'd recommend making reservations for the dining room or skipping this spot unless you're very patient, don't mind no pre-bussing, and are okay with having just one drink--because a second likely won't be offered. read more

Cozy's is cute, cafe that's styled like a country home. The drinks are good, the food is nice. It's a great place for brunch. Their chicken and waffles is always a crowd pleaser. My favorite item is the Turkey Club Melt. Although it's officially apart of their "hidden menu". I literally have dreams about this sandwich. The ratio of meat to veggie is perfect. I have sensory issues so I don't like slimy tomatoes but I'm very particular about my sandwiches and this one is immaculate. The flavor is well balanced. The Parmesan crust just gives it the perfect crunch to knock it out the park! I would give this restaurant 4 stars but the service knocks it down a peg. Most of their hostesses are rude. Their servers can be absent for longer periods of time than normal. It's not somewhere that I go often because of this but I always eat good when I do go. read more

On our way from Dayton to home in Cincinnati, we made a last minute plan to stop for dinner and live music at Cozy's. When I called regarding a reservation and seating near the music, the host was delightful and accommodating. We were shown to a perfect high top right away and the classic acoustic rock was right up our alley. My only other Cozy's experiences are during the holidays, meeting up with Cincinnati and Dayton girlfriends to celebrate, and it is always jam-packed, often with a wait even with reservations. This was a pleasant change. Our server was prompt, professional and cheerful. I opted for the Gem and Beet Salad and my husband went for the trout with lump crab special. The salad was fine if somewhat smaller than I expected. My husband found the trout and crab too salty to enjoy, which is the bad news. The good news is the server graciously offered to replace it and my hubs selected the burger and fries which were wholly to his satisfaction. I would have downgraded the review if not for Cozy's apparent commitment to the client experience. read more

I really like this place, but today I ordered the chicken salad sandwich and it came on a plate open face. 2 stacks of a croissant with lettuce tomato chicken salad. You couldn't put the two halves together to eat as a sandwich. I tried to make a sandwich with 1 stack and the croissant from the 2nd but the croissant wasn't even covering half of the lettuce and chicken salad. So then I tried to cut it with a knife and eat with a fork and that also proved difficult. I just wanted a simple sandwich. Don't order this unless you specify that you want an actual sandwich and not this horrible open face execution. read more

We first visited Cozy Cafe in Mason nearly two years ago, and at the time, we were genuinely impressed. The fried chicken was a standout, crispy, flavorful breading with juicy, well-seasoned meat, and the biscuits? Easily some of the best in the city. That experience kept the place on our radar, and since it's close to home, we decided to give it another try last night. To be fair, this wasn't just a one-time return. We've been to Cozy Cafe several times over the past two years, including quite a few brunch visits. Over time, we noticed a shift in how the food was being executed. The decline was especially noticeable during dinner service, and that's ultimately why we had stopped going for a while. Still, we were hopeful that things might have bounced back, which led to last night's visit. We started with the veggie frites, which were beautifully breaded and paired with two excellent sauces. They could've used a touch more seasoning, and I wish they had salted the eggplant beforehand to cut the wateriness, but overall, a solid appetizer. I'd give it a 7/10. My boyfriend ordered the crab cake entrée, and visually, it was stunning. But the moment he cut into it, things went downhill. There was barely any crab, mostly filler, and what was there had a fishy smell more reminiscent of tuna than crab. It simply wasn't the quality we remembered. Honestly, the frozen "Private Selection" crab cakes from Kroger are better seasoned and have more crab than what we were served here. The fries on the side, though likely frozen, were delicious, crispy, hot, and well-executed. 1/10. I decided to go back to my original favorite the fried chicken. Big mistake. It was a completely different experience from our first visit. The chicken arrived suspiciously fast, and it showed, it was lukewarm, the breading was soggy, and it tasted like it had been sitting in a steamer or warmer for hours. It had none of the fresh, crisp texture that once made it memorable. The twice-baked potato was equally disappointing... dry, under-seasoned, and seemingly reheated from a prior day. The broccolini, though, was nicely charred and flavorful, easily the best part of the dish outside of the always-reliable biscuits. 4/10 We shared our feedback with our server, who was kind and attentive. She seemed to pass our comments to the manager (or possibly the owner), who eventually came over. While she asked for feedback, it was clear from her body language and defensiveness that it wasn't going to be a productive exchange. She insisted the chicken sits in a warmer because made-to-order would take 40 minutes, yet there are plenty of non-chain restaurants around town cooking fresh chicken in under 20. To be fair, she noted that the head chef wasn't there that night and that she'd pass along our comments. But as long-time customers, we could already tell the kitchen has changed hands. The food, the care, the execution, it just isn't the same. I love supporting small businesses, and Cozy Cafe still has potential. The venue is charming, the biscuits are stellar, and in the past, the cocktails were excellent. But something is missing now. You can even see the shift reflected in other online reviews. The talent that once made this place special doesn't seem to be in the kitchen anymore, and that's a shame, because strong culinary leadership is what brings customers back. I truly hope they find a way to course correct. I'd love to see Cozy Cafe thrive again. read more

This was a great spot to grab brunch and mimosas with the girls. This is my first time being here and this restaurant is cute and cozy just as the name suggests. This was the last minute decision to go with my friends, so we did not have a reservation. Thankfully they were able to get some pretty quickly. We started with an ooey gooey apple bacon cinnamon roll. It was super good, but very rich, so I definitely recommend sharing like we did. I had the short rib skillet and it was soooooo good. The short rib was tender, my eggs were fluffy, the potatoes nicely seasoned, and the chimichurri sauce complimented it well. I'm such a creature of habit, that I feel if I came back I would definitely order the same thing again. If it ain't broke don't break it! I am rarely on that side of town so I'm glad that my girls and I decided to check it out that day. read more

The calamari appetizer was good but minimal. The mahi-mahi was tough and small over a bed of rice with a small dollop of chutney. The egg plant parmesan was tough, noodles soggy, and the broccolini undercooked as well. We couldn't cut it with a fork. None of our four guests enjoyed their meals. The metal chairs are very uncomfortable and belong in a grade school. Very disappointing as this was one of our favorite restaurants. It will be hard to justify returning. read more

I recommend making reservations and they also can accommodate larger parties. The mimosas were sooo good and you can actually taste the champagne. They had several flavors mango, blood orange, blueberry lemon thyme, and orginal. I had the mango and it was delicious. They are $10.00 each but 10/10 recommended. I ordered the chef quiche which changes often but today it was pepperoni and mozzarella cheese. Sooo good and light tasting not to heavey with a mixed green side dressed perfectly with an amazing lemony dressing. $12.00 will fit again and again I did get the careit cake to go, and this is hands down the best I have where had. So moist and easily 3 if not more could eat off 1 piece. $10.00 this is a no joke something I could go and order and bring home every night lol. read more
