Toni provided a great overview of proper wine tasting while she and Eric walked through why each wine for each course was chosen to pair with each dish that they had prepared to allow each course build on the last until the crescendo of dessert with its appropriate wine. I brought my daughter and her friends here for her birthday and none of the girls could talk during the three hour class, or they were blamed for not listening. I called three times prior to the class to check in on a couple of details for the class, and no one ever called me back Three times! Unprofessional. As I am spending $65/person x 5 people! They advertise as a cooking class, but each kid gets one minimal task as they go around in a semi-circle and wait for their turn again. While they wait, they have nothing to do but stand there for hours, not talking. They can't even talk to each other or else they get in trouble by the instructors. Why are they not cooking and being instructed?! (As advertised). The building is in an unsafe area. Upon arrival (10 minutes before class time started), the door was locked. Based on the feeling that there was NO WAY I was leaving my children and their friends here. The staff said I could stay, however the owner of Curious Kitchen saw through a camera that I was sitting in the room and asked me to leave. Why is she unknowingly watching the children? They would not let me stay in the same room as the children, but instead I had to sit in the next room for three hours waiting. Why not let a paying customer be in the same room as their kids? Why lock the children into the building? Isn't this against fire code? When I called the owner to ask if I could stay in the room , a huge argument arose. Both of the co-owners, mother and daughter are absolutely horrific. Horrible attitudes. Defensive. Rude. I am shocked that they are still in business. The food was poor quality and tasteless. How do you mess up pigs in a blanket? The potato wedges were cold.
