However, the reason for the two-star review is the manager. She is very authoritative and creates issues when there are no issues. She enjoys reminding customers and employees that she is "The Boss" and always looking for an altercation. Abby does not match the image of TW&M. I went into the store for my spouse who is a bourbon enthusiast. I searched for a employee and found one about to step up on a ladder. I asked him if the store had any allocated bourbon and he gave me a look like I was scum of the earth. He stepped off the ladder and told me in a very condescending tone that they put all their bourbon out on the shelves. Had a cashier there that was super friendly went to her every time I came in if I remember correctly her name was Aida, always smiling and happy. I went in the other day, and they told me she was let go because of her not meeting some rewards thing, but times I went in she was not there because she was only working 1 day so how is someone supposed meet anything working 1 day a week that is a disgrace. Fantastic Customer Service! I placed an online order for a bottle that isn't necessarily rare but not always available on the shelf. Unfortunately, I got a call from Craig the next day that my order had accidentally been knocked off the shelf and broken. Even worse, they didn't have another bottle available. Just a bit of bad luck for me but it certainly wasn't the end of the world. Craig asked if I could give him a couple of weeks to see if he might be able to secure me another bottle so that my order could be fulfilled. Honestly, while I appreciated the gesture I wasn't sure if he'd be able to find another one anytime soon. Craig contacted me a little over a week later and lo and behold he had come through with a replacement. Here's the deal - he didn't have to do that because accidents do happen. Total Wine is a dream come true for those who like to imbibe. A Disneyland of fermented selections. An "E" ticket ride to incoherent bliss. The place is packed floor to ceiling with anything an "of age" body could want. This body was in need of beer. But not just any beer, I was in the market for some hard to find Miller Genuine Draft. In this part of the country, MGD is as scarce as truth on CNN. As I walked through the door of this drinkers paradise, I was met by an employee who asked what I was looking for. When I told him, he said right this way and proceeded to lead me right to it. Two cases were on the shelf, but not for long, for they ended up in my cart and soon to be in my belly. Not all at once, mind you, the remaining case wasn't touched until I got out of the parking lot. There's all kinds of stuff to feed your other habits, too. Recent visit very disappointing for a "Full Service" store. Waited in line to check out holding a big bottle of vodka and shopping bag for over 5 minutes finally asking the manager for help....and got blown off. Went back in line , waited another 3 minutes. Really like having a full range liquor store around. We have a thing for Aperol, Prosecco and Rum/cordials from Martinique. This place has all that and more. This was becoming my favorite place to shop for wine. I would have given it 5 stars until yesterday...When I checked out yesterday, not only did the cashier ask for my ID, but he insisted on seeing my husband's as well. He scanned both. We questioned him about this and he said that it is corporate policy to check all ID's of those with the customer purchasing alcohol if they look under 50 years old as they want to prevent you from giving it to someone with you if they are underage. Huh?... I checked, minors can enter the store, what if my teenager was with me? After spending a good amount of time there, would I have been able to make the purchase? If so, their explanation makes no sense. BTW- We have walked in there and had free alcohol tastings and not carded, but all in a party have to get IDs scanned if one buys something?...The only positive side to this "Big Brother" policy is the cashier thought my husband and I looked under 50. read more

I purchased a case of 2019 Duckhorn Merlot from the website. When the order was ready for pickup, my wife drove 26 miles to the Brentwood, TN location to pick up the order. When she arrived, they could not find the order. After to talking to several people and waiting for 10 minutes, they finally found the order.   When she got the case back to her car, she called to tell me what had happened. I asked her to open the case and verify the wine and vintage. I am glad she did. The store switched the vintage from 2019 to 2020, which is a terrible year and NOT what I ordered! She immediately took the case back into the store and requested a full refund.   Drove 52 miles, waisted an hour and a half, and still do not have my wine. I highly recommend staying away from the Brentwood, TN store location. They obviously do not understand inventory control, specific vintages of wines, or verify online purchases. read more

Me (29) and my girlfriend (25) went in here to make a purchase. I showed my ID at the register and they asked to see hers too. She's 25, but had left it at home. They then refused to sell to me. I've lived in Tennessee my whole life and never had this happen. So could I walk out of the store and walk back in alone and purchase it? Absolutely ridiculous. Abby the store manager said someone called me, which no one did. Buyer beware, it seems someone can walk in and purchase off the shelves what they are selling online. Their online ordering system is a farce, they do not guarantee their stock for online orders, you can drive all the way to the store to not have what you ordered available for pickup!
