HORRIBLE! I just had the worse surprise threesome. What a disappointment! Let's just say that who in the right mind would want to share a pole specially when you are paying the same price? I would like to think the business is doing good enough to throw some cash for an "upgrade" on your private room so you can actually accommodate all the people you are charging so everyone's experience can be what they paid for? I don't care if adding "you may share a pole" somewhere (haven't seen that yet) is going to make the experience less awkward, uncomfortable or unfair. No, this types of classes are NOT ok to share equipment. The moves are not very shareable friendly and I was standing half of the class as an SPECTATOR which in the website DOES say is not allowed. I guess is not allow unless you pay, hmmm. No, I don't think it's ok for a business to make their customer uncomfortable and awkward by forcing them to be the one having to share at "their" pleasure and expect everyone to share equally worth of time. We are here to have fun, ridiculous! Then the receptionist (bless her heart!) makes the HUGE mistake of making a scene in the party and ruined everyone's last half of the time while I was in the bathroom. Like NO one asked YOU to go and tell the instructor like in high school, if I wanted to do that and have the whole party noticed that I voiced over my (and the other girl having to share the pole) dissatisfaction I would of. Then I'm not sure who else was there but talking behind someone's back IS NEVER OK! Like I'M THE ONE with the problem not my party. TALK TO ME. This happened a few times too after the whole thing. Like I said, NEVER OK. This place is run by high school minded people. I would NOT recommend at all, but if you do come, keep in mind their private parties over 6 WILL be sharing a pole and paying the same but not getting the same. They do have their public classes which is what I was told that we should of had gotten. Well ok then. How accommodating and friendly y'all are! You definitely made our experience one we will never forget! *instructor was nice and friendly* **Update** aggressive was the "manager" towards me. This situation got confusing when I returned to the studio and over heard someone telling my party how we needed to share the pole. I was shocked. Are you for real? Are we kids? We are paying customers. Get enough poles. Period. Like I said on my review, NO ONE ASKED HER to tell anyone anything. If I wanted a scene, I would of said it straight to the instructor myself. The reason why you were called still a mystery, if she is the "manger", shouldn't she be fit to handle a situation of a simple customer dissatisfaction of feeling ripped off? Her obvious choice to call you shows that you are in need of a better manager that can take a negative comment and avoid these situations getting so scaled. Before heading to the bathroom I said ok to writing the note she offered. Why did she have to scale the situation? Don't know. High school drama? And for your camera evidence. Did I stayed after with a FAKE happy attitude? Yes. Why ruin any further what your establishment already achieved. Did I enjoyed? NO. I wasn't in a single picture for the same reason. Still, I'm being blame of "enjoying" what I wasn't will to pay. All I wanted to do was leave your studio. Your camera can also show that too. I couldn't just leave. I needed to smooth things over with my party. You guys are unbelievable. I still don't understand why you talked to the other person in my party when I was the one with the problem. I told your "manager" I was ok just standing there and leaving the note to find a happy solution after. She decided to take my dissatisfaction of the set up as a "must act now, this is a California fire" when it wasn't. My experience wasn't all bad until that got scaled. She didn't handle it well and blaming the customer is not the answer either. No need to further this matter. A refund was offered to the lady at my party which is like giving it to me. If that was going to be the end result why the unnecessary drama? Still confused on the problem solving procedures of this place. read more

Our bride, bridesmaids and even MOB loved the experience! Our group of 14 filled up a pole fitness classroom nicely, but there was room for more since we all shared a pole. First-timers, don't be scared at all! Classes are warmed up nice and slow. From there, you progress as you're ready. Our instructor made it fun and there was plenty of time for us to try moves and talk amongst ourselves. The hour went by so fast, but I think a lot of ladies were tired. Don't be fooled - it's a workout! There are lots of photo ops around the studio so don't be shy about group pics! read more

I came here for a bachelorette party with six other girls, specifically for aerial yoga. Our teacher was Jess! She was very friendly, bubbly, and on time for our reservation. We each got a small drink of champagne before starting our session. Jess did a good job of breaking down how to do the different movements and helping us if we got lost, confused, or tangled up. She also took some photos for us, which was nice! It was my first time doing it and was a great workout and experience! There were seven of us total, but only six different "stations." It would have been nice if each of us got our own ring or drapes (idk what they are really called lol) to play on. I'm into some kinky workout classes so when I heard about the living social offer for Studio Goddess, I jumped at the opportunity to get my pole-on. Five flirty fitness classes was the deal. The website is decent. Make sure that you check out the testimony video. It is both informative and hilarious. Apparently there is an entire subculture of pole dancers that I was unaware of prior to getting to know Studio Goddess. The class schedule has variety and times that are flexible with my busy life. I enjoy that classes are at 6 or 6:30 instead of something I have to strategize my life around because of traffic in the Vandy/Hillsboro/Belmont/12th So. areas. I signed up for Zumba, Burlesque Flirty Dancing, and Shake Your Abs online and received email confirmation reminders. Always a plus. I showed up at Zumba and there isn't much of a waiting area. There are catalogs for purchasing your own pole for home, RV or a hitch trailer. The studio itself is located near the corner of 12th and Wedgewood in the plaza behind the liquor store. The pole class was just finishing so I sat down on this white vinyl sofa (so fitting for the environment) and baked in the sun shining through the sheer curtains while the thighs of women squeaked down the poles in the classroom. Oh the ambiance. The class space has privacy otherwise it would just be a fishbowl of pole dancing amateurs serving the Belmont/12th So community. This problem with air circulation continued throughout the Zumba class. I considered it to be just a "hot" Zumba class. An aerobic class requiring lots of movement such as Zumba is not really fitting for a space that is divided by poles from ceiling to the floor, which I refused to touch with any part of my body. I did feel like I achieved a calorie-blasting workout. The Burlesque striptease fitness class that I took started off the same way, however, the owner led this class. She was very interested in our opinions and taught us worldly skills that can be applied to our own lives. This class, too, was also a great workout. They, of course, do bachelorette parties and other group functions. And I think they really try to make it as classy as they can. read more

Nashville is the epicenter of the universe for bachelorette parties, so it's not a shocker that there are several pole dancing fitness studios in town. I must say my first time grinding my booty on a chrome pole in what I call a failed attempt at looking sexy was incredibly fun. Kristen was our bubbly, encouraging instructor for our private pole party of seven ladies. She was very good at describing how to move our bodies so that we had a general idea of how one day we could fully master the move. She added a personal touch by popping a bottle of champagne to toast to the beautiful bride-to-be, and bestowed us with our 'stripper' names for the day. Pole fitness itself is very fun. Swinging around and sliding down a pole?! It's like being 10 again! Only, this fun is, well.... a little more 'adult'. My boyfriend of course asked for video of the shenanigans. But no... no. No. No. Sugar Deville (my stripper name for the day) is not ready for stage or film. Not just yet. We've already looked into pole fitness in our hometown. Great workout that is definitely a change of pace from the treadmill and yoga studio. Well worth the $35 for the hour of self deprecation! P.S. This was the worst pole dancing class I've ever taken. I was here for a bachelorette party and had taken the group here because there were so many rave reviews. The only good things were the instagrammable sets for pictures and the clothes they had for sale. The actual party and pole dancing class was horrible. The instructor said she had been there teaching for 5 years, but she looked like she had no idea what she was doing on the pole. She clearly ran through a roughly scripted class that was boring as anything and she had zero energy to get the party moving or going and she weirdly stood around with us while we were changing. Studio Goddess has something for everyone who has grown tired of the boring old gym routine. From a dance-fueled ab workout class to advanced pole classes and even a burlesque dance class, a girl can find any workout she wants, and feel sexy while doing it! The classes are very relaxed, you feel really good about yourself while you're here, nobody judges you. Prices are really affordable, and memberships even more so, making coming here a breeze; a real treat considering most pole dance studios can be very pricey. There are also often Groupons and Living Social deals available often for those who are simply curious and want to test the waters before committing to a membership. I cannot say enough good things about the instructors! Birthday weekend for a friend (02/09/2013)..she wanted to do something different, even risque and maybe a little raunchy..so we decided go pole dancing..AND WE HAD A BLAST!! The studio is nestled somewhat in the Belmont area, not too hard too find. Upon first glance you see a typical storefront which causes you to wonder about the size of the place. Just as we thought it was not that big inside, but the colors on the walls were so inviting and cheerful bringing out our inner stripper, lol, ok..our inner dancer, OK well psuedo-dancers!! There was 11 of us but only 7 poles, not very good because I don't like sharing any type of pole (pun intended..lol). So this in my opinion was a negative. The owner of the business taught the class and she is awesome!! She was pleasant, bubbly but not overboard (that's annoying) and full of energy..we were all sweating within the first 10 minutes of the class..can we say PLUS!!!! The dance routine we learned was great and the pole moves were an added bonus..(BTW, much respect for pole dancers, that pole takes no prisoners!!) Extremely upset with my experience. I came with a bachelorette group to a class. One girl in our bachelorette party has neurological problems and can't spend long periods of time spinning. We tried to talk to the receptionist, and ask if she could just sit in the class she couldn't participate. She was extremely rude and made the entry to the class completely awkward. She told us that she was still "absorbing" the moves in the class not even willing to make any accommodations to the girl in our group with a disability and she would have to pay a full rate. My friend in the group teared up being completely embarrassed by the way The receptionist spoke to her in front of the crowd. She did not apologize. read more

I booked a Goddess Party with 7 other girls for my sister's bachelorette party. Not what I expected at all for given the description of the class/event and the price that was charged for it. My instructor, Whitney, was INCREDIBLY low energy. All of us were pretty bored by the class, including the bride, which was very disappointing as you can imagine. First, the music was super low! A number of us had to tell her to put it louder more than once. Second, she also spoke in a whisper, so we couldn't hear her. I'm sorry, did I sign up for a meditation class?!? Third, to add to the low energy, at the start of the class, Whitney did not even introduce herself to us -- I only know her name because I looked back at my emails to write this review. She also did not share what we were going to do in the class before we began. An intro would have been nice, nevermind EXPECTED by any professional studio. At the very least, you should explain how each dance move will lead to one bigger dance at the end of class. Each of us just felt lost throughout. Fourth, since I did the Goddess Party, we got a champagne toast. Sounds cute, right? I thought so too, but Whitney just handed us overly sweet champagne in short plastic cups and said in her whisper 'you can do a toast or something'. Wait, this is the "private champagne party" I paid a $103.80 deposit for? Seriously, at least get us plastic champagne flutes. Oh, and the gift bag they promise the bride consisted of a child's plastic crown and a tiny bottle of pink liquor. It was just so cheap. Overall, I feel like I was mislead. The description of Studio Goddess and the Goddess Party does not match the experience. Ahead of the class, I received multiple communications from the studio about their "rules" so I thought they held themselves to a high standard. It's more like they expect YOU to hold yourself to a high standard, but the class is actually not worth it. If you are trying to plan a class for your special event, I highly recommend you find an alternative because this is highway robbery. read more

I had very high hopes for this place. I took advantage of the $79 new student monthly special. Upon walking into my first class, the aerial silks class, the instructor ask I wait outside. Oookay. Not very welcoming, but I was here for the class anyway. I'll remain with an open mind. The class itself did not have enough equipment for all the students so we had to take turns. Inconvenient. Days later I had to cancel a class, but then later found out I was still charged because I canceled late. Then, a couple days later they called me and cancelled class two hours prior to it starting stating that the minimum number of people had not enrolled. Shouldn't THEY be paying me for this then? I'll be taking my business to Chrome, where I hear here nothing but great things. read more

Fun place to go if you are a laid back kind of person looking for something different and interesting. Nicole is very relaxed and playful. She is dedicated to what she does. I have brought 2 friends there so far because it's such a fun way to work out. The time just flies by. Do not be intimidated by all of the poles, it's easy to work out around them if you aren't taking a pole class. And if you are taking a pole class, be aware that everyone cleans the poles neurotically, so be prepared to spray with alcohol (kills all those germs) and wipe after every move and before and after the whole class. read more

The hardest workout you'll fall in love with! This is a wonderful studio! I have been taking pole fitness classes off and on for about three years in another city. I say off and on because I wasn't very motivated to go to class very often, we weren't challenged so I got bored. When I moved to Nashville and started going to Studio Goddess I feel like I progressed more in the two months I've been taking classes here than in the entire three years elsewhere. There is a wide variety of clientele here, everyone from beginners to people looking to hone their craft. The instructors are very personable, safety-oriented and will push students as hard as they're willing to go. It's a very positive environment, all the students encourage each other. I love it! I have taken 3 classes here so far and I love it. I have some minimal pole experience and dance experience but the instructors are very helpful and technique-oriented. Nicole, the owner, is very personable and hands-on, I enjoy learning with her. She was very helpful and patient with me and I learned so much by taking 3 classes. I definitely recommend taking Mix of Trix and Level 1, if you have taken classes at another studio, just to brush up the basics and they run great specials to get in. The Android app is extremely helpful. You schedule the classes and it automatically syncs the class and address to your calender. Overall, I have had a wonderful experience so far.
