I'm in love with this spot! I'm so glad I found it! The only con is that they take a while to get their line/people moving (maybe it's the costumers order)... BUT ITS WORTH THE WAIT! Very consistent with their drinks and food. Having a consistent experience is very important! I hate going to places that don't teach their employees to be consistent with their creations. The girl working today was so sweet and kept a smile on her face even though she was working by herself and it was quite busy for 2:30pm on a Thursday. Coffee was so delicious I ordered an iced vanilla americano with caramel drizzle. Very smooth espresso and not too sweet either right up my alley. Nice, quick little Espresso shack in Wasilla. They have all the usual coffee beverages. For food, they have classic carby-snacks and baked goods as well as fancier new ones: keto donuts, hiking bars, etc. The staff is insanely happy. Please compress what they have into pill form and gimme some! read more

Ordered a mocha and a ham & cheese croissant. Pros: My server was very nice. The coffee was fine. Cons: Didn't see any masks in this food service operation as numbers continue to rise. Ham and cheese was Kraft singles and unsettling-looking slices of a very rectangular ham loaf. Again, the service and coffee were fine. I'm just not trying to return to a place not taking precautions during an ongoing plague, and was a bit disappointed that I paid the same price for breakfast as any other coffee stand only to get the lowest quality ingredients possible. read more

Though I haven't tried the extensive list of coffee shops in the Valley, The Awakening is tied as my favorite so far. My go-to drink is the iced white mocha; it's probably the best I've had in the Valley. I appreciate how creamy and sweet the drink is, though it doesn't detract from the strong espresso taste. I'm not exactly sure how they make their white mochas, but I sometimes notice sugary residue at the bottom of the cup. Maybe that's what makes The Awakenings drinks stand out from others? For the most part, the baristas are very friendly. My biggest complaint, however, is that some baristas are presumptuous at times in regards to change. The times I do pay with cash, I would prefer my change handed back to me so I can decide what amount to tip instead of being asked "do you want your change?" read more

I don't come here very often, but I've never had a bad experience!! When I do come here, I'm always very pleased. It's very cozy and quaint, and leaves me feeling comfortable and satisfied, even with that caffeine rushing through me. Got a 16oz vanilla latte and 16oz dirty Chai vanilla. The vanilla latte was on par with the rest of the shops. The dirty Chai was, in my wife's words "THE BEST DIRTY CHAI I'VE EVER HAD." Got it with two shots of espresso. Would definitely come by again. read more

I just sipped on The Most Expensive drive through Chai Tea in Wasilla! Oh and BTW it wasn't that great This was after the "half naked" (yes I we could all see the baristas boobs all the way to her ribcage) attendant informed me that they are an average priced "specialty" coffee company around here. I disagree on that! I could have gotten the smallest chai Tea with soy and whip cream at Starbucks this morning at drive through for less:(( No Bueno! I asked if I could make a complaint about the expensive price, and she said to go on Facebook? I don't have nor want Facebook!!! She said that she would not give out her management phone number and she would inform management "That didn't like the prices!" ‍ So, to the manager I'm making a complaint and I don't think your prices are average! You are higher than Starbucks and think you are specialty coffee? I say specially high:) Oh and I'm making a complaint that this was my first and last time coming. I only paid because she already made my Tea. Also, paying in all/mostly change made a bigger statement of my opinion. Also... if you do want customers, maybe have your baristas wear clothes?
