We were visiting the area , found this bagel shop and decided to try it out! I got the special which was a bagel with avocado, turkey, tomato, spring mix , garlic aioli , and bacon. The sandwich was very delicious no complaints! Definitely on the pricey side spent $37 on two sandwich's. The staff was friendly and it was pretty clean inside ! I do like that they have a mini section for kids to play with toys so cuute! Also very cool you can watch their bagel process. My ickkkk was that one of the girls on the line kept taking her hat off and itching her hair kinda gross. My other ickkk was that they have two bagel trays on the floor ..... food should be 6" in. off the floor not same level as people walking with their shoes where debris can go onto them. read more

Bagels are very tasty albeit small for the hefty price. A bacon, egg, and cheese on a bagel would have cost $13.50. We opted for just bagels with butter at $3.50 a pop. This is a stark contrast from bagel shops in Northern New Jersey. read more

This place knocks Avalon coffee out of the water where they will take 20 mins to make a bagel and literal sneeze on your bagel and continue to serve it (witnessed this). This new place is very modern and the vibe is great. Our only critiques are that they would offer whipped cream cheese and figure out a way to toast a jalepano bagel (our favorite every where we go and this is the first place that doesn't toast them). And lastly simplify the computer options. Small things but we will never go anywhere else- it's literally the best by far. So glad they are here. read more

Really good bagels! I had the deluxe chicken salad club on an everything bagel and my boyfriend had a pork roll egg and cheese on a plain bagel. Both sandwiches were great! I really liked the thick cut bacon on my club and that the bagel had seasoning on both sides. The atmosphere is fun and has colorful doodles on the walls. I love that you're able to see right into their production kitchen where they make the bagels. You can order your food on the kiosks and the staff were really friendly and helpful. It is a bit pricier, but I really don't mind paying more for the quality and freshness. I plan on returning so I can get another fresh bagel and try their cream cheeses! read more

First of all, the bagels are excellent. Probably the best in South Jersey. My only complaint is that when you just want a cup of coffee, you have to have to pay for it at the register and then wait for the cashier -- the only one -- to go back and prepare your coffee at a service counter and then instead of bringing it to you, they call you to the same service counter to actually put in your own cream or sugar or whatever before going back to the register to pay. This is highly inefficient. I've never been to a coffee shop where you can't get your own cup of coffee from a large thermos, put in your add-ins , and then pay for it at the counter. Meanwhile, all of the customers behind you have to wait while cashier is busy not being a cashier. It just doesn't make any sense. There's an easier way to do things that literally everyone else seems to have figured out. read more

Was waiting for the Bagel Shop to open and it was worth the wait!! The interior is adorable with self serve bagels and a check out counter and seating as well. Tried the everything, black sesame and sea salt and the plain sesame. All were excellent, with a perfectly crispy outside and chewy in the inside. Opens at 7:30am, give it a try!!! read more

So much better than the other local with giant bagels that are dense and heavy (hint, they come from Avalon) Absolutely love this place Aaron has got it! Bagels are good. I wish they were open more during the week. Maybe the rent is high, probably explains the 15 dollar breakfast sandwich. I folded once for it, I was hungover and needed to eat but for the love of god I could have gotten a pound of pork roll, a carton of organic eggs, & a 5 dollar toaster from the yard sale down the street and still have enough for a Wawa coffee and a lottery ticket. I mean Christ is Tony Soprano taking his cut out of this place for that price? I'd pay the 15 bucks for the sandwich if it came with hash browns, a coffee and a free car wash. read more

I live above NYC in southern Westchester County, NY, and I have a second home in Cape May. I have tried Everything bagels from various locations in and around NYC. The Everything bagels at The Bagel Shop are the best I've ever eaten! The interior of the store is clean. I was greeted and asked if I had shopped there before, and after saying that I hadn't, was informed that the bagels selection was self-service and kiosks were available to order other items. My family and I visited The Bagel Shop this morning and I was blown away! These are the best bagels I've ever had! They are fluffy and crispy at the same time. The seeded bagels are perfectly coated on both sides. We had a variety of fillings: lox, wagyu pastrami (yes Wagyu!), chicken salad, and the hot honey cream cheese. They were all delicious! Unfortunately I've given the bagel shop multiple shots, but I'm throwing in the towel. My initial complaint would be how long it takes for your order to come out ...even a small order. But I gave them some time to work out the kinks and gave it another try. Second time I placed another small order, this time I got 3 burnt bagels. Most recently, I went in, ordered a plain bagel, no cream cheese, not even toasted and two bacon, egg and cheese sandwiches on everything bagels. When I got rung up I almost lost my mind when I saw my tab....$38!!!!???? For two breakfast sandwiches and a plain bagel?? I mean this is a little ridiculous. I know every business has to make money on their product but this is just absurd. I went to the C-View for dinner with my husband, ordered two beers, an appetizer and two entrees all for $49.95. I know this is a resort town, everything is expensive, but a bagel shop should really not be out to completely rip people off-especially if they're a new business just getting their feet wet. It's a shame because the product tastes good, but not worth it if it means I have to choose whether to spend on breakfast or dinner. read more

Finally, a bagel shop in North Cape May that does it right. This is a new business in the area and I for one am hoping the word gets out that these bagels are the best I have tried in a very long time.
