    Nova Or Belly Lox

Exceptional. That is how I would describe my Sammie. Lately, I have been yearning for bagels, lox, and cream cheese. I saw this place had great reviews, so why not. Called my order in advance, I had not looked at the menu, so the worker on the phone let me know the difference between the two sammie's with lox (the ne with lox and the other with a mutate of lox in the cream cheese). I wanted my lox separately. The food was available upon arrival, and I was greeted upon entry. The staff were friendly. The location is in a small strip mall in between New Hampshire and Randolph Roads. The parking is limited, but my guess is you aren't actually eating there. The hours are 7a until 3p or whenever they sell out. If I'm ever in the area, I know what I'll be ordering; a nova on an everything bagel. Nicely done!!

So I wasn't hip in high school but apparently this was the hangout spot after class. I discovered the bagelry when I was in college and fell in love. A good NY bagel is fresh, and you can taste the difference between a store purchased one. My go to is either strawberry cream cheese on an everything bagel or the jalapeno bagel with scallion cream cheese. Service is quick. You get your order within minutes which is also why they've earned a 5-star rating to me.

The Bagelry was a pleasant surprise - they make their bagels in shop, and you can see the oven where they are being baked! The menu offers various types of bagels and shmears, made-to-order breakfast sandwiches, deli sandwiches, salad sandwiches, and even combos. We came here around brunch time, and the place was pretty packed; there were many who had already placed an order and were waiting for them. We ordered: +the Egg on a Bagel with Sausage breakfast sandwich - opted for a jalapeno bagel; this came out piping out, and the folded egg was of generous portions; the jalapeno bagel was just okay - we prefer the ones that are sliced and baked on the surface of the bagel, whereas the Bagelry's version has diced jalapenos mixed in +Nova on the Run - sliced lox on a bagel of one's choosing, with cream cheese, tomatoes, onions, and capers; I went for the everything bagel, opting out of lettuce, substituted the plain cream cheese for scallion cream cheese, and requested extra red onions and extra capers; the cream cheese was okay, as it was just 'hard'; the sandwich itself was generously filled, and all the ingredients were super fresh The bagel themselves were still soft with a slight crisp exterior; we were worried that the bagel would have been more chewy and slightly stale since we came later in the morning, but we were glad that this was not the case. The bagel size itself is slightly small, but depending on what you order, you'd still be filled up. Staff were kind, friendly, and welcoming! There is also a rack of day-old bagels at a discounted price. I'd love to return to try out their deli sandwiches during lunch! Parking is available in the shared strip plaza lot. +good fresh bagels +fresh ingredients +friendly service +free parking in shared strip plaza lot

I haven't even tried my food yet but this place is superrrr cute! I know a good bagel when I see one and the fact that they have a little stand to sale yesterday bagels, all of Dr. browns sodas and yoohoo's like come on! Can't wait to come back and get my cool merch!

Ohh la la, this may be my favorite version of a Nova Lox yet! As expected, a great Nova Lox sandwich should be a dollop of evenly spread cream cheese, a blanket of sliced salmon covering said cream cheese, plenty of capers distributed throughout, and we can't miss out on some strategically placed red onions for zing (the lettuce isn't optional but luckily it's more for color and texture than for taste). It is indeed a big bite but a flavorful mouthful in every single bite. I love that the cream cheese isn't the only ingredient I taste and more than enough capers were available to help with the potent taste of red onions. And don't fret, those rainbows in the bagels didn't alter the plumpness nor taste of this amazing sandwich. If you're looking for anything else squashed between a freshly made pillowy bagel, you must check out Bagelry here in Colesville!

These are the best bagels in the DMV. Not only are the bagels fresh and flavorful, they have the best gluten free bagels as well.

I got to our table a few minutes after my friends had already been seated and ordered drinks, which was fine. However, we then proceeded to wait at least 15 minutes before the waiter came back to get our orders. Since we seemed to be of no urgency to our waiter I decided to go to the restroom which I definitely would've thought otherwise if I hadn't had to really go. Holes in the wall, toilet paper on the floor, liquids on the toilet seat, and a bottle of soap with no soap. Not at all what I expect in an establishment serving food with their employees using the same restrooms. We finally got our order placed after having to grab another server to flag down our waiter. One of my friends and I ordered pancakes and french toast so of course syrup would be a nice addition but was not provided. And it seemed as though every waiter tried their best to not make eye contact with us so we could ask for some syrup. I was able to grab us two sticky bottles of syrup from an employee tending the bar. And our waiter seemed to be missing in action after our food was delivered. Now I will say we all thought our meals were good, which at least was a plus. The Breakfast Club adds on an 18% gratuity to all checks with 6 people or less and 20% for more than 6, which I personally believe is why the service is so lackluster. Given the poor service and lack of cleanliness, unfortunately it doesn't matter how good the food may taste I personally don't think I would suggest The Breakfast Club for a dining experience or return for another visit myself.

Another huge plus: convenient parking nearby and easy access to the Metro, which makes meeting up here simple and stress-free. Java Nation strikes a great balance between a welcoming café and a productive meeting spot. Whether you're grabbing coffee, planning your next move, or just enjoying the neighborhood vibe, this is a solid go-to.

The food overall was great, from the drinks to the dessert. The only miss for me was the Margherita flatbread it lacked a bit of flavor compared to everything else but everything else we tried was absolutely delicious. We ended up leaving before the live music started, which I regret because it sounded like such a nice touch. I'd definitely come back to enjoy that next time!

Unfortunately, my very first interaction with the restaurant completely turned me off. I called on **02/12/2026** because I couldn't make a reservation online and wanted clarification. The man who answered said the Silver Spring location is "first come, first serve" and does not take reservations. When I tried to ask a follow-up question, I was told he was on another line -- and then he abruptly hung up. If reservations aren't accepted, I'm not sure why a potential guest would be rushed off the phone instead of being welcomed or given basic information. First impressions matter, and this experience felt dismissive and unnecessarily rude. Because of this interaction alone, I've decided not to visit this location. I hope management takes customer service more seriously, especially for people reaching out for the first time.
