Oh, my look at those cookies and rugelach. Next time....

Bagel lovers are rejoicing! They just opened a Bethesda Bagels in Cabin John Shopping Center. Unlike other Bethesda Bagels, this one has space to sit and eat your food. It is a clean design with light wood colors and a modern feel. Service was great. The line moved quickly and the person who waited on me was nice and helpful. My order came out quickly. I really liked my bagel with nova lox and cream cheese with chives inside. It was delicious and I can't believe I ate the whole thing. I can't wait to go back and pick up some cookies to go with my bagels.

Bethesda Bagels @Cabin John-Open Now! Friend/I visited last Saturday Excited-Bethesda Bagels newest location. In the Cabin John Shopping Center Tuckerman Lane/Seven Locks Road-Potomac, MD. The energy electric-all seating full. Yes this location has a few tables/chairs. We got some bagels to go. So Fresh! Great Customer Service. See Photos.

The best bagels in the DMV in my opinion. Well priced and delicious. I love the deli feel and am grateful that the Potomac location has seating and is more spacious than Bethesda. I almost always get an everything bagel, with lox or chive cream cheese. Cabin John was in desperate need of a new bagel spot and I'm grateful Bethesda Bagels has opened there .

That definitely looks like a plain bagel

Good bagel. Had a nice chewy, portion was good and good cream cheese. I tried the red pepper and would get that again.

$8 for a huge bacon, egg, and cheese. Delicious. Will be coming back to try other flavored bagels and types of spreads.

Here's a polished Yelp Elite-style version with a natural, engaging tone:…read more Bethesda Bagels in Rockville is hands-down one of the best spots for bagel sandwiches in the area. My go-to is the sausage and scrambled egg on a multigrain bagel; it never disappoints. You can actually watch them making fresh bagels, and it shows. The texture is spot on, perfectly chewy on the inside with just the right amount of crisp on the outside. Everything tastes fresh, and service is quick, even during busy times. The staff is always friendly, which makes the experience even better. Their cream cheese is excellent, too rich, flavorful, and a noticeable step up from the typical grocery store options. They also carry cookies and other treats from local vendors, which are definitely worth trying if you have a sweet tooth. If you're craving a solid bagel sandwich, this is the place to go. Bonus: free parking makes it an easy stop.

6/29/26: Bethesda Bagels is a solid option if you're looking for a filling breakfast or lunch, but…read moreI don't think it quite lives up to all the hype. I ordered the BLAT bagel sandwich, which came with bacon, lettuce, avocado, tomato, red onion, and cream cheese on a fresh bagel. The sandwich was filling and had generous portions of bacon and avocado, but overall I thought it was just good, not something I'd go out of my way for. I also paired it with an iced coffee, which was exactly what I expected from a standard cold brew. The shop was busy and the staff kept the line moving, and there are plenty of bagel sandwich options on the menu. My biggest downside was the price. It's on the expensive side for what you get, and while the quality was good, I didn't feel it justified the cost. Overall, Bethesda Bagels is worth trying if you're in the area, but I wouldn't consider it a destination bagel shop. The food was good, just not memorable enough for me to make it a regular stop.

I stopped by about an hour before closing, which may have impacted my experience. By that time, a lot of the bagels were already sold out. That said, the menu was very extensive with tons of bagel sandwich options and other items. There's also some indoor seating, and they sell a variety of snacks, drinks, and bottled waters--almost like a small convenience store. This definitely seems like a great spot for a quick breakfast on the go. The staff was friendly and welcoming, which I appreciated. One suggestion I'd make is to invest in paper menus or QR code menus--the menu was a bit hard to read, especially with so many options. I ordered three onion bagels to go, along with a container of plain cream cheese and a smaller chive cream cheese. Unfortunately, the bagels were disappointing. They were pretty hard and didn't have much onion flavor at all. On the bright side, the cream cheese was amazing--both the plain and chive were super creamy and flavorful, easily the highlight of my visit. I'd be willing to give this place another try, but probably closer to opening hours in hopes of getting fresher bagels. I can see why people like it, and I think timing really matters here.

I really liked that the condiments came separately so each guest could schmeer as much or as little as they wanted. (Or in my case, purist that I am, avoid altogether). We were seated immediately and had water brought to our table. Menu was extensive, with overstuffed sandwich classics like Reubens and clubs, salads and classic fare like knishes and lox. They also serve breakfast all day. I had the grilled veggie wrap. It came with homestyle potato chips. My companion had a tuna melt (solid albacore) with pepper jack cheese on an English muffin (also with chips). Both portions were huge. The veggies were still crunchy but cooked thoroughly (zucchini, squash, peopers and onions) with red pepper hummus stuffed in a huge burrito style spinach tortilla. Comfort food done well. As a bonus there was a pickle bar of half sour, full sour pickles, cornichons, sauerkraut and pickled peppers. Favorites were the half sour pickles and sauerkraut (went well with the wrap). Great meal!
