What I like about this place it's littered with locals. This isn't the kind of restaurant you're going to see out of towners. And that's a good thing. You'll find friendly service and waitresses that know most of the guests. The restaurant has its positives and negatives. On a positive note, the bagels are baked by this local chain. They taste fresh and good unlike what you would get at a place like Dunkin Donuts. As with all local bagel shops they offer many different flavors and styles. That's the good news. If you're going to come here bagels are your go-to. The rest of the breakfast items are similar to what you would get at Shoney's or Denny's. For some people that's perfect, but for those looking for a better quality breakfast might want to go somewhere else. The other great thing about dining here is value. The decor is outdated and while I believe it is clean, the age of the tables makes it appear not so clean. We have our monthly team meeting and the Bagelsmith is our go to for our breakfast. This morning I went there to hand in our order of 14 bagel sandwiches. As soon as I walked in they approached me and automatically said that cannot assist me. She said she already has a big order and won't be able to make ours. We've been using them for a couple of years now faithfully, once a month. I left there and went to NEW YORK BAGELS & DELI. They assisted me right away, no questions asked. They also mentioned to me that they have a HUGE order for 6am that morning, 260 bagel sandwiches, not 30! Needless to say that The Bagelsmith lost a valuable customer and will NEVER set foot in there again. Customer service is the worst. Highly recommend NEW YORK BAGELS AND DELI! Bye bye Bagelsmith! Very disappointed in this place. We've been going here for years. Yesterday morning we popped in, there was no sign as to weather or not to wait to be seated so we moseyed in as usual. The owner kept staring at my husband so he finally asked her"Did I do something wrong?" Me and my wife were hungry for breakfast one day and thought that we would try out the bagelsmith. When we first sat down we were immediately and passive aggressively told no outside beverages allowed. I didn't notice any signs ,but i put our dd coffees back in the car half drank.(We were thirsty and our drinks were half empty) So we ordered food and some beverages, now here is what set me off to never come back. It was busy and the food took awhile to get, our beverages were well empty by the time we got the food. We only saw our waitress when we ordered and when we paid, NO REFILLS between the 30-45 min we were there, but we were told NO OUTSIDE DRINKS. Then of course our drinks are melted in the car when we got out. Its a shame it was right down the road from us,NEVER AGAIN. read more
