Personal Walk In Shower for The Main Street View Room
    Phuong N.

My two night short stay here was nice. My assign room was nice and comfortable. The Airbnb is located in a really nice area. I didn't get to walk around after work. The one think I didn't care for is the inconvenient of leaving your room to get to your own personal restroom across from your room. Each doors has it own code to enter. We get complimentary drinks like water, soft drinks, local beers and snacks. They provide the robe, iron and even a sound machine to sooth you to sleep. Keep in mind that this place has no elevator so you will have to carry it up the beautiful stairway. My first day, a very nice tiny lady helped me with my huge luggage and I found out that she's the owner of the Airbnb. All the room was booked but I hardly hear noise. I had a great stay. Highly recommend anyone who looking for a place to stay. I travel alone to work and I felt perfectly safe while staying here.

The property is so much bigger than just the main house. Big yard!

The owners & staff have thought of every detail. My pup and I stayed in the cottage and were greeted by local beers & snacks when we walked in. There's a dog bed, pack-n-play in the closest and even a travel steamer (score!). The location literally can't be beat. It's right next door to several local bars, an established Italian restaurant and a cafe. It's walking distance from the ballpark and you can easily walk or scooter across the river. But most of the time I was content to just stay in the cottage because it felt like a getaway. It was so comfy & peaceful - my dog didn't act like he normally does at hotels because it was home-y (there's even a nice size yard on property). Will come back!

Needed to find an impromptu place to stay as a half way point on our way home and wanted to avoid the corporate hotel experience. My wife found the Baker online and what a gem. Nathan was extremely helpful on the phone and sent us our entry codes via email which made it very easy to arrive and get to our room quickly. He also sent us some great restaurant recommendations. Overall all The Baker was a very clean, tasteful, and unique experience.

PROS + friendly, welcoming staff + dog-friendly (size limit = 80 lbs / $30 per day) + clean room (2 queen bed pre-taxes = $90.76) + nice, clean and cool indoor swimming pool + nicely-lit parking lot + mostly, seemingly safe area + entrance to rooms must be accessed going through lobby + short walk to Tropical Smoothie Cafe + very nice fellow clients... met a young lady from Abilene, TX, and her nieces. We had some funny chats. CONS - slow elevator - many full-sized trucks parked in two spaces or crooked - no hot tub - super small and thin pool towels - noisy neighbors - we admittedly ate a late breakfast, but it wasn't as good as other BWs I have been to. The coffee was not good at all. I usually drink mine black. Judging by other places I drove by, this was a great choice. I think staying downtown at the Hilton would have been my only other option while we had our dog.

Expecting the motel style of the Hot Springs Red Roof, my wife and I were surprised this location opted for the hotel, all enclosed layout complete with a flimsy, knob-less, cardboard like door to separate the smoking and non-smoking areas of the second floor. Silver lining, the entire place smelled like an ashtray full of full flavored filters and burnt roaches. Felt like I walked into an old mom and pop diner of days past. Quiet enough though that the only sound I heard when I went down to the lobby for coffee this morning was the soothing, silky voice of the receptionist tell a fellow boarder "You can't apologize to the dead. All those slaves? They did. They don't care about no apology". Nice to be served a little enlightenment with my morning cuppa joe. Kind of fee like I should skip the Bill Clinton Presidential Library altogether now. The room was clean enough, nothing of note to mention, but it just didn't FEEL clean...if that makes sense. Could've been the lingering stench of previous (and current) guests, or simply the trash that lined the halls on the way to my room. Overall, not a depressing experience but most definitely one I don't want to live through again. Fascinating enough, the Quality Inn across the parking lot looks like a whole new world or lodging and cleanliness. Amazing how one cracked asphalt drive can make such a noticeable difference. Save your money. Unless you're looking for an authentic and "real" Little Rock experience, find someplace else to lay your head at night. Edit: I rated it two stars instead of one simply because, unlike other unfortunate reviewers, I didn't happen to come across anyone seeking drugs or tweaking in the hotel hallways and the place (believe it or not) wasn't AS bad as the Motel 6. Otherwise, all of those one star reviews are pretty well spot on. Second edit: I couldn't do it. I couldn't knowingly leave a two star rating with a clear conscious. This place is a dump. Don't let the outer appearance fool you. As one reviewer said years ago, this place needs to be shut down.

Then there was a fire in the building. We didn't know because for 30min. while trying to sleep, the fire alarm went off in spirts but we could tell someone kept disabling it so it would stop. I called them because we could not sleep. They answered and said "Everyone get the f' out!" She did not tell us what was the reason. We tried to get out and the door handle was not working once again(it fell off the door)We had to jump out the first floor window with our large dog. They need to be shut down for not reinforcing correct safety measures.

Think South San Francisco, East Palo Alto, and the like. Not until I was staying at the Wyndham Riverfront Little Rock did I learn that North Little Rock is an entirely different town than Little Rock itself. I falsely assumed it was merely a geographical fact. Much of North Little Rock has a reputation for being less safe than Little Rock itself. But here in the Argenta neighborhood I felt that wasn't a factor. I walked freely during the daytime, along the riverfront and along the charming Marin Street, and hopped the trolley that showed me more in both towns. The parking lot out front of the hotel seemed safe, with security, and no evidence of any crime. In fact, the hotel has a popular bar and restaurant and shares a footprint with Benihana. A room here is inclusive of a morning breakfast - a very good one - with service that exemplifies Southern hospitality. The woman manning the omelet-making station each morning sparked joy. And actually, everyone who worked here was well-versed in hospitality. The hotel does not offer up daily room-cleaning but if you ask, it is happily supplied. I asked twice in four nights and enjoyed the neat, clean, and orderly room to which I returned each day. This hotel features an outdoor pool and an indoor gym, the latter of which my son reported to be "a lot bigger than I thought it'd be". The bar is popular (but not open very late) and the location is easy to get into and out of but also just over the bridge from downtown Little Rock. It's telling when I report that my family members tried to stay here again shortly after my 4 night visit and found no available rooms. They were able to get in a day later though. Wyndham Riverfront Little Rock is a good value (about $240/night), a place I feel very comfortable recommending, and one to which I'm certain I'll be returning.

Highlight of the daily breakfast is Marie who makes the omelets and waffles to order - she's more entertaining than any Benihana chef with her welcoming banter and recall of each person's order, even with a long line. Highly recommend this location for conferences for the adjustable size meeting rooms and helpful staff.

Most importantly, the room and hotel were very clean, though housekeeping did come a little later in the day than I prefer. As we were arriving, one of the other families were waiting and said they had been waiting about 20 minutes and didn't have their car... When we left the hotel that first night, we took UBER instead of dealing with valet... The next day, both times we left took 30+ minutes to get our car... When we returned to the hotel at about 10:00pm, the line stretched about 2 blocks down the street... After 20 minutes of waiting and not moving, we went to a surface lot that was about three (3) blocks away and walked back to the hotel (with temperature in the low 30s)... Valets, front desk- no one really cared and there was no sense of urgency by anyone... When I told the guy at the front desk, he said a lot of people have complained have complained and he will make sure the problems are noted in the overnight report for the managers...
