Such a gem on Main Street in Midvale! This is a counter service/seat yourself kind of place. They have a bunch of really unique pizzas here - I can't wait to come back and try more! I got the ricotta mushroom pizza with arugula (and lots of it!) mushrooms, ricotta dollops, and shallots. It was delicious! Heavy on the arugula, but fresh and tasty. My partner got their pepperoni pizza and added sausage. I loved both! I really enjoyed each of the pizzas we ordered and they were very different from one another. We did have a slight mixup with my order, and the staff was so attentive, owned up to their mistake immediately, and made sure to make it right for me immediately, which I so appreciated. Everyone was so friendly and kind. They have a gelato shop within their space called Setties and have amazing limited gelato flavors and HUGE ice cream sandwich macarons. I love the location along Main Street in Midvale as it's easily walkable to other stores. The first time we tried to go here it was over an hour wait for pizzas so we tried again on a rainy afternoon. The interior is charming and I'm looking forward to the outdoor seating opening up. Let me first say the ambiance in this restaurant is phenomenal. The renovation is beautiful and I love how they are revitalizing midvale Main Street. It's a beautiful restaurant that pays homage to midvale and Utah and the work done in this building is gorgeous. The service here was not great. We were one of two groups in the restaurant and still waited around 30 minutes for our food. At one point after sitting for ~20 minutes I got up to go to the bathroom and saw they had just started making our pizza. We also had a couple questions (what's good here, how big are the sizes, can we switch out the meat) and nobody seemed to have an answer. They're new so I know it's tough- but just not great service! And lastly our food just wasn't that good. When you're paying $20 for a pizza I just expect more meat, sauce, etc. the crust was pretty good! The pizzas are creative and delicious, the salads unique, the desserts adorable macarons filled with gelato. They are still working out the kinks but the owner and staff are friendly and accommodating. We ordered the pizza with smashed potatoes and added balsamic glaze. Love Letter to Old Time Utah & Amazingly Great Pizza too. We wanted to share a glowing review. First, the vibe. Having grown up in Utah there was always this sense of pride that an iconic movie, The Sandlot, was filmed in our 'backyard'. While on main street you could feel that same vibe and then you walk into The Bambino and it paid the proper homage to the movie and it honestly felt like it was a love letter to The Sandlot, but ultimately good ol' fashioned Utah. That was what set you apart from other spots. As I was saying, you created a great vibe in general, but the ode to Sandlot was the extra cherry on-top that sets this place apart from any other. Kudos to taking the time and effort to all that you have to make that a beautiful place/ Second, the pizza! It was great! No notes. Keep it up. My wife and I love a woodfired pizza and that was what brought us in. We had heard about the place from Social Media and we love woodfired and you didn't disappoint. Saw this place all over TikTok came to come try it out the other day. The ambience service and vibes were top tier. We got the mushroom ricotta and classic margarita pizza. Honestly, the ingredients were definitely very natural and tasty. The only thing we didn't like was the sogginess of the crust. Other than that, it was definitely solid. I would definitely come back and try out the other flavors. They also had a live band playing the entire time which just made the experience so much better. I love The Bambino! Their pizzas are unique and worth a try! The Peach is my favorite, a nice combination of sweet and spicy. The appetizer with the beets is also worth a try, along with the smashed potatoes with the chipotle crema. It can get busy most nights, but the employees try their best to get your food out in a timely fashion and I applaud them for it. The atmosphere of the place is what steals the show. Honestly super over hyped place. Reviews made it seem amazing. Paid almost $100 for 3 pizzas and two sides. Pizzas were personal size and extremely skimpy toppings. Veggie pizza had basically raw veggies all clustered in the middle. Chicken pizza had literally 5 pieces of chicken. The Meat pizza did taste really good and to be fair the crust was very tasty. The ambiance of the place was really cool and they had live Jazz music on the Patio. Jazz musician was 5/5 stars but I was the only one clapping for him. Crowd was boujy affluent people comfortable paying $20 for a personal size pizza. Overall very disappointed especially with how much I paid for mediocre pizza, portions and toppings. Also, there is no table service. You seat yourself, get your own drink and silverware as well as bus your own table.
