TIPs & TRICKs Follow the rules: Get the tray, then the wax paper liner, then use the individual wax papers at the stations to grab what you want. While you're doing that, pay attention to the pricing, because it can add it. To see the plain butter croissants empty already was shocking, but when we told the employee she came back to not only stock it but came to us first and let us pick which ones we wanted off the tray That was very nice The pain du chocolat looked good and were lacking in depth and flakiness of the crunch The Chausson aux Pommes - was really good - They could have used another minute or two in the oven to get that golden brown. They were looking like the pastly white guy at the beach while everyone else had a tan The mochi Dubai Chocolate donut was very good. The total was almost fifty bucks.... I told my wife that we could have about 40 croissants for that price if we were in Paris. C'est la vie! Look for a chain - Its pretty good. This place is located by my work, and I finally stopped in to try it after wanting to for a while. I'm so happy I finally went in because it is a serious treat! They have a bunch of cases with different pastries both sweet and savory. It was a little overwhelming to decide what to get since everything looked great. I ended up going with a ham and cheese croissant and a strawberry Nutella Belgian waffle. The croissant was amazing. So soft with such good flavor. The waffle was a little stale so I ended up just eating the strawberries and Nutella off the top. Once you have your items, you go to the counter to pay. The girls helping me were nice. Look, it's not my fault. But when you're given a literal tray to collect your goodies on, of course you have to fill it up. What respectable person carries a single pastry around on a cafeteria tray? Come to think of it, this sounds very intentional. I've been had. Don't let that sound like a complaint, however. There's nothing complain-worthy here. The pastries are outstanding, humongous and displayed with such light and cheer that I'm suspicious that Care Bears may be in the back room sprinkling happy dust on everything before it is wheeled out to the front. Those are at the front where the employees can get it out and box it up. There are so many good looking things! Both savory and sweet. You can also order food, coffee and tea. I love Paris Baguette! The bakery cafe offers a wide selection of delicious sweet or savory items including pastries, donuts, cakes, and breads. Whenever there's one close, I can never resist the urge to go. Their menu is always changing and I love trying new items, but their soft cheese cake is tried and true. It's the one thing I always get on top of everything else. I appreciate that a lot of their sweet items are not overly sweet. This location was truly a cafe. I've been to some locations where it's just a standalone bakery with no seating, but this one was filled with tables for guests to enjoy their treats there or do work! On this visit, I tried the sweet rice donut and the cream cheese donut. Both were dusted in a light sugar coating. After cutting them open I thought the sweet rice donut would be dry, but it was surprisingly moist! I think the sparse and cakey looking filling threw me off, but it was actually pretty good. We love Paris Baguette! I've found myself frequenting it often these days, meeting friends for breakfast meetings. It's so convenient in the Fort Union neighborhood. It's always impeccably clean which is great in a self-serve bakery. I love the rotating selections of baked goods - there's always something new to try, but some of the favorites are always there. They heat up the appropriate pastries too, which is divine. I am a savory breakfast gal and appreciate their balanced selection of sweet and savory. The pizettas are delicate but filling, the hash brown bread is amazing (hashbrown, ham, and cheese baked in a bread pocket, topped with mozzarella and ketchup), the curry croquette is perfectly balanced and crispy. There are always quiche, sausage bread, and ham and cheese pastries. On the sweet side, there are always red bean buns, pain au chocolate, fruit tart, croissants of all flavors, and mochi donuts, plus different types of every tart, danish, donut, sweet breads, and flaky pastry your heart desires. There are whole and sliced cakes, pies, tortes, cookies, and tarts for special occasions too. But save room for their drinks, too! Well, since I've been here at least seven times and just barely downloaded the app, I will start there. Get the points. Download the app! This place isn't cheap, and you'll be back. My first visit, the line was crazy. Subsequent visits have been less crazy. If you've been to Tous les Jours, this place is very similar. You grab a tray and parchment paper and grab what you want out of the cases. They have a mix of savory and sweet items, and a full case of cold items at the front. Their rotating seasonal items are a little more plentiful than at TLJ, and their line moves more quickly too. They also have a much bigger drink offering than TLJ, which is helpful for me as a decaf drinker. They serve Lavazza coffee at Paris Baguette, for what that's worth. There's plenty of seating, and it's very bright and welcoming. The tables could be turned over a little better, but my guess is people sit down before staff has a chance to wipe them. Still, nothing has ever been crazy dirty or anything. The owner is so sweet and enthusiastic. She makes the visit worth it on her own. I'd say to plan for $4-6 per item on average, if you want to budget yourself ahead of time. As for the menu items - I'm a big fan of the coffee croissant, which is basically a cronut with coffee custard filling, rolled in sugar. It's very dense and so, so good. My husband is a fan of the mochi donuts. And my toddler will eat anything sweet and processed, of course. He picked out the strawberry mochi donut today and ate the whole thing. Paris Baguette is absolutely worth a visit (or seven). I wish it weren't right by my Smith's as it makes it hard to resist on a weekly basis. read more

Yet I give it four stars because it's fun to find an Asian-style "French patisserie-boulangerie" in Utah -- even if a chain -- where we have no meaningful Koreatowns, Chinatowns, nor Japantowns. So PB presents eye-popping, drool-worthy cases of sweets and savories, from croissants, pains-au-chocolate, fruit pastries, and cheesecake breads to mochi donuts, sweet milk breads, cronuts, an-pan (red bean paste), and curry-pans-- even the notoriously weird Asian "rubber hotdog" rolls. Truly makes me feel like being back in Japan! And I love that when they pack a takeaway box they pastry-tissue everything so that that savories don't cross-pollinate with the sweets. But it's less than five stars stellar for me because you can't order warm the Lisbon-style Pastéis de Nata (Egg Tarts) nor the Hash Brown Breads crisp. (And no reliable directions printed on their packaging either.) The filling on many items like the Custard King Cream donuts, Cream Cheese Pastries, and Frangipane (almond) Pastry are a little skimpy. I love that this South Korean bakery is getting so much love and business - it was buzzing today! The assortment of pastries, sandwiches, drinks, and cakes is sure to please anyone. I chose the Mochi Donut, the Rice Donut, the Caprese Sandwich, and a Matcha latte. Despite the busy environment, the staff members were so sweet and I was very impressed by the manager who kindly thanked me for coming when handing me back my Caprese sandwich after heating it up. Ambiance is cute and cozy. This is definitely the place to go when your loved ones come to town or when you're hanging out with a friend. Went here today around 7:45 am and it was already pretty busy. Very clean, cute interior. You grab items from the cases, place them on your tray and take them up to the cashier to pay. However, there are NO tongs, you must use your hands and the items are stacked on top of each other in the cases. Which makes it easy to touch other items. It's unsanitary. They have a large variety of sweet and savory pastries. We tried an assortment of both. I wanted to get one of each. All the pastries and the slice of cake we bought were delicious. I got a lavender matcha frappe as well, it was just ok, and although there was no line or any other drinks being made, it took a looong time for them to make it. That person at the register helping the customer two sets of customers in the line in front of me did not know the names of the items the people were purchasing and had to ask them what each item was and then try to look it up on the register's screen, so it took an inordinate amount of time (think many minutes!) for that person to get rung up. Then the person directly in front of me in line had to very clearly state -- and state it many times -- what she wanted from the behind the counter. Then someone else working there had to get it. I came extremely close to setting down my tray of pastries and waking out. I can't imagine the frustration of the five or six sets of customers in line behind me!
