The Bando is a 60s and 70s themed restaurant. The front where you order your food is framed by various mugshots of all your fave celebs lol. Although the line was long, you don't wait long. You actually get your food very fast. I ordered the honey hot wings, but unfortunately I got hot lemon pepper wings instead. Im not upset because it was good regardless and it was very busy, but hopefully when I come back I can get what I actually ordered. That "crack juice" is just some super sweet koolaid. Its good, but its just koolaid yall lol. Either way, good food, friendly workers, definitely worth the trip.

Whew! I had to sit on this one for a minute because my experience was so wild and I was conflicted. First of all, they need a better system for orders. Long story short, they lost our ticket and it took over an hour to get our food. We tried to inquire at one point and they kind of blew us off and said we had to wait until they finished serving a literal football team (though we ordered well before the team came in). And because of that, they were out of an item I ordered. When I finally got them to listen to me, the cashier's solution was to give me like 2 extra wings. What?!!! I was extremely unhappy with the solution and he kept saying they don't do refunds. At some point, someone in the back made it right by throwing in some extra items but they didn't acknowledge us so I don't know if it was a manager, the owner, or who. Aside from the frustrating customer experience and horrible ordering system, this is where I am conflicted. Ngl, the food is YUMM! I got the blue drink, and it instantly took me back to my childhood drinking blue koolaid. It was so good. The wings were fried crispy and I didn't even have to tell them to do it. Cooked to perfection ! I had the lemon pepper crack. The "crack" is a bit sweet, I wasn't crazy about it so I wouldn't get it again. But the lemon pepper was great. I happen to love drums and got all drums so I was pleased. I loved the size of the wings too. The fries were nice and crispy. I also got the glizzy. It's loaded with toppings so of course a bit sloppy, but it was completely delicious. Again, cooked to perfection. Now I don't think I can go without getting that AND wings. Lastly, I loved the ode to the culture. It's supposed to be a trap house, but the decor really reminded me of going to your grandma's house in the 90s. That was really cool. I really hope they get their system and customer service together and succeed.

Can't nobody, nobody mess with my kitchen! Aye yall pull up to the Bando! Check in wit me first though! After hearing all the noise I had to come show some love in the Bando. And man im glad I came. The order counter definitely has trap vibes, the music, the young men behind the counter representing our community but giving the kindest service. Big up to yall man. On top of that, the product delivers. The strawberry Crack wings (5/5, they sweet so dont get a fawdy piece) , the hot lemon pepper wings(5/5) were literally perfect. Fries went krazy too. I also had the fried oreos (3/5, would benefit from a caramel or a chocolate dipping sauce) . The Crack juice was good, but sweeeet! Overall. Im proud establishments like this exist. Organically, Authentically, and in prosperity. Yall pull up on the Bando! Bring me something too

The experience was good. Food was tasty. I see why there wings are so popular. Very popular place. The space is small, nowhere to sit, just a place to order or standup & eat. Place is dark Service is regular nothing fancy

Had to get over whilst it's daylight Although that doesn't matter per se (iyktyk) They have a sitting area for those who don't want to eat in the car! Been following this restaurant from TikTok. The reviews were mixed. Yet I came at a time where they did some renovations. It felt like stepping into nostalgia. 80's and 90's were exuding from every nook and cranny. Each area felt like a time capsule that brings you back to your childhood. Ordered the in famous crack wings with lemon pepper. I'll say I went back to back for more. Those wings and the fries were amazing. The service was great. Patient and helped me select the right order with all the options they serve. Con: the area is shifty but keep your head on a swivel

"Hot lemon pepper" - A JOKE.

The Bando isn't Atlanta culture - It's a tourist trap with bad wings and a good marketing team. If I could give negative stars, I would. The Bando calls itself a wing spot in Atlanta, but what I experienced was a crime against chicken, seasonings, and anyone with working taste buds. First off, the vibe? Cute for Instagram maybe, but that's where the charm ends. This place is running on aesthetics and hype alone. You walk in expecting ATL flavor, that deep-rooted, finger-lickin' wing magic the city is known for - and instead, you get this pitiful plate of sadness. The Bando tries to sell itself as "true" Atlanta culture, but instead it feels like a parody of it - a mockery of the real history and soul of this city. From the boarded-up windows and graffiti outside to the chaotic art and blaring trap music inside, everything screams gimmick. And let's be clear - one of the owners being from Detroit makes the whole "ATL authenticity" branding even more ridiculous. It's disrespect disguised as theme. They've got "photographers" roaming around, pushing people to pose on grimy, abandoned-looking furniture and then asking for money afterward - as if anyone actually wants a picture on a dusty couch or broken TV. All of it feels like smoke and mirrors to distract from the fact that the food and service are both painfully mediocre. Now, about these wings. As an Atlanta native, I don't play when it comes to wings - flavor, size, execution, and taste matter here, especially in the Wing Capital, so I like to think Atlanta is. I ordered hot lemon pepper, the most straightforward request you can make. What I got? Fried chicken with hot sauce dumped on top. Not tossed. Not seasoned right. Just... dumped. The fries were cold. The wings were an insult. I genuinely stared at the plate for a moment wondering if this was a prank. It takes effort to make food look that unappetizing. The staff didn't help the experience. Slow service, zero energy, and the vibe of "you're lucky we even opened today." It's one thing if the food slaps and the service is meh - but when both are bad? Oh, it's over. If you actually love good food - and especially good wings - skip The Bando. Save your money, your time, and your taste buds. I don't know who's hyping this place up, but it's giving "tourist trap" energy all day long.

The wings were good, the flavors were okay. I would get the special again but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here. My mom called and said let's go get the auntie special from the Bando so I said why not lol the concept is cool

I have seen advertisement for this place all over IG. Couple of my friends bragged about how good this place was so I wanted to give it a try. This place was only doing takeout when I arrived. They got my order ready in 10 minutes. I order the No Diddy combo. OG Glizzy, 10 wings, and fries. The OG Glizzy tastes pretty good. It has chili, mustard, onions, bacon, and cheese. I got the Crack and Hot wings which the hot overpowers the rest of the flavors. The fries are crispy.

Soooo, shoutout to my mom's coworker who is now 2 for 2 with the food recommendations! Today's adventure brought us to The Bando, and let me just say--we were NOT disappointed! I ordered the No Diddy--whew, listen. The wings? Crack Wings with Honey Butter. The fries? Crack Fries with BBQ sauce. The hot dog? Top tier. That chili and cheese ratio was on point--enough flavor but not so much that it made the bun soggy. The bacon? Nice, crispy, salty--just how I like it. But let's really get into these wings though... because CRACK WINGS FOR REAL. I might actually be addicted. They were so crispy and crunchy with seasoning and sauce that had me closing my eyes and humming. It was giving everything it was supposed to give and more! And the fries? Just as addictive! The kind you keep reaching for even when you're full because they hit every time. My mom had the same thing--eight-piece Crack Wings with Crack Fries--and yup, she's hooked too. We both sat there like, "Yeah... we coming back." Bottom line: If you haven't been to The Bando, go. Run. Get addicted like the rest of us because now I need to try every. single. flavor.

Well this was an unique experience. It's such great marketing! From walking into the door to the decor you are transformed to a certain place lol. When I arrived i was greeted. They were only serving one part of the menu. I ordered and waited about 25 minutes for my food. It was very packed. I got the lemon pepper wings, with crack powder and a crack juice. The wings are a bit small for the price. My whole meal with fries fit into a small to go container. The wings were flavorful and the juice was sweet so I split it and added water. Im glad I came to experience the restaurant at least once.

Great wings strawberry hot and lemon peppah crack steppah were bomb the location was exactly how I thought it would be and the inside was very nostalgic

My cousin told me about this place and when I say I died when we pulled up. It really like looks like a BANDO Atmosphere inside is a vibe. Good music while you wait for your food. Service was fast and staff was nice. Now I didn't see any tables and chairs so imma say this isn't a dine in place. There's a room that's empty with a ring light where you can take pictures. I got the "No Diddy" and everything on that plate was good okay!! Well seasoned and freshly made!! My meal had a glizzy, wings (of your flavor) and fries.

I realized there was so much about the civil rights movement that I didn't know, and this museum really brought those stories to life. My favorite part was an interactive exhibit where you sit at a diner counter and experience what it was like from the point of view of a Black person during that time. Tickets run about $26.95 for standard adult admission, with slight variations depending on the day and if purchased online or in person. Given the sheer scale of the grounds, it feels like a fair value. I went on a weekday, which I highly recommend. Parking is incredibly straightforward, you park right on-site at the SAGE Parking Facility. It starts at $3 per hour, but keep in mind that the garage is entirely cashless, so you will need a card. Also if there is an event at Piedmont Park, parking may be impacted. Check-in was quick, and while there were visitors, it never felt crowded or overwhelming. The entire experience flowed smoothly from start to finish. This is perfect for a solo adventure. They were celebrating their 50th anniversary with the Super Bloom display, and it showed. There were over 200,000 tulips and spring bulbs throughout the garden. When I reached the Great Lawn, it opened up into a full sea of color. The visual texture of so many layered, vibrant petals blooming all at once was stunning. Each section felt different. One moment I was surrounded by vibrant florals, the next I was walking through lush greenery that felt almost like a rainforest and the air was so clean. It naturally slowed me down in the best way. The Orchid Daze exhibit was a highlight for me. It was calm, lightly fragrant, and tucked away enough to feel like a quiet escape. I ended up staying longer than expected. It would have been nice, if they had more dedicated seating areas. There weren't many spaces designed for just sitting and being, closer to the flowers especially if you wanted to relax without being in the middle of foot traffic. The grounds were clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed. There were also great spots for photography, I saw everything from casual photos to full-on portrait sessions. On-site Dining If you plan to stay for a while there is a restaurant on-site, which is convenient. The menu was simple, light bites, sandwiches, and seasonal options. Pricing was about what you'd expect for a major attraction, averaging around $25 to $40 per person for a casual lunch. Overall: A way to slow down and take things in. Peaceful, beautiful, and worth the visit. I'm already curious to see how it will transform for summer.

My friend and I got some popsicles for $5 which was nice since it was pretty humid at the time we went. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend, but I didn't have a terrible time here.

It was a mostly good experience, but our appreciation of the amazing animals was really compromised by several things: 1. The aggressive marketing for Margaritaville (the dolphin show sponsor). Throughout our experience, we were approached by people representing this company - often sort of disguised as aquarium guides. By the time we got to the dolphin show, we had just had too much... then when we walked out of the theater, we really wanted to go over and see the spoonbills, but we were MOBBED by Margaritaville people. We literally ran away from them, almost screaming. After paying over $50 for a ticket, we really did not appreciate this at all. 2. The OUTRAGEOUS prices for on-site food. You order on a kiosk in a cafeteria setting. We were hungry, but we just could not bring ourselves to spend that kind of money on mediocre food and drinks. 3. My criticism of the aquarium after its grand opening still stands: there is just not enough information about the animals in the tanks. In many cases there's just one sign identifying one species, or screens showing slides of some of the species. And there are often docents hanging around who can answer questions. But I always really want to know more about ALL the species in a given tank, and I've never been sure why that information is not more readily available. Aside from things like this, it's a great place to see beautiful animals.
