I've been going there for over a year now, and I can honestly say it has become one of my favorite parts of my routine. Before joining, I had never done this type of workout, but the instructors were friendly, welcoming, and incredibly helpful from day one. I've been coming here for about 2 months and this place has literally changed my life in an instant. I love love love the early morning weekday classes (periodically weekends), because they get my butt up in the morning, I start my day off right, and I feel great the rest of the week. My classmates are so down to earth, the teachers are very helpful at making sure you're aligned properly so you get the most out of your workouts. (Special shoutouts to Marcia, Laura, Jordan, and Hafiza for their attention to detail, explanations, and extra help) The studio is clean, and the energy at those morning classes is such a great way to center my mind and body in preparation for the rest of the day. The workouts are really what you make it - challenge yourself if you want to really feel the burn. My favorite class? Bar method strength. It burns so good! (My inner thighs are still on fire from yesterday morning's class - getting stronger!) Second favorite is bar method express + restore. I love stretching after a challenging workout. The owner, Hafiza, shares her heart and expertise. Each Instructor is trained to understand the body and offer guidance. All body types can feel welcome. Wonderful for pregnancy. Best part is you will get RESULTS! Gain strength without bulking up. Bar Method will give you great posture and LEAN muscle. I'm so happy to have landed at the Bar Method Campbell! After 24+ years of raising my 4 kids and taking care of them and their needs, it was time for me to start taking better care of my body. The walking I was doing 5x per week had me in great cardio shape, but my muscle mass and core were lacking. Nearly 3 years after my first class, unless I was out of the area, I have consistently attended 3 classes per week. The results are real! I absolutely love Bar Method Campbell! The studio is always spotless, thoughtfully decorated, and has some of the most friendly and engaging instructors. From the moment I walk in, I feel welcomed and supported. The owner, Hafiza, goes above and beyond, not only is she knowledgeable and approachable, but she also plans fun community outings that bring the studio together. It truly feels like more than just a workout class; it's a community. One of my favorite instructors is Cassie. She's incredibly friendly, always cracks the best jokes, and has a way of keeping the class fun while motivating you to push yourself. After taking 50+ classes, I now feel credible to leave a review. I first found Bar Method in Campbell through ClassPass and tried out a few different barre studios in the area, but this one quickly became my favorite. I officially signed up in May, and it's honestly the only workout that has helped me stay consistent. A lot of the members know each other, and everyone from clients to staff are genuinely friendly and welcoming. The owner and instructors are truly experts at what they do. My personal favorite instructors are Cassie, Holli, and Hafiza. The strength and cardio classes are amazing! But all the instructors are knowledgeable, supportive, and very hands-on in the best way. I really appreciate the in-class form corrections, they make a big difference!! What I love most about this studio is the emphasis on overall strength. There's never any talk about weight or appearance. It's all about building a stronger, more capable body. That said, I have seen a noticeable difference in my body/face and overall in my strength! My only suggestion would be to add more variety to the music playlists. And my only con is that memberships aren't transferable to other studios (but I think that's a bar method problem and does not pertain to this studio). Over the years, I've tried many different exercises, but Bar Method is the only one that I've stuck with and done on a regular basis. I like that each class is different, but at it's core, you are getting a full body workout. You may not "sweat like crazy" (unless you are in a cardio or strength class), but you will definitely feel sore the next day. As far as the Campbell studio, it's a perfect size (expertly decorated - it feels like a chic boutique in the lobby) and the workout area, while carpeted is clean. There is plenty of parking, which is also a huge plus. Everyone has been very welcoming and friendly since I joined this studio last year. The instructors are knowledgeable and always willing to help out if you have questions on the exercises or need tips. My lower back was feeling sore for a few weeks, so Hafiza, the owner and an instructor, took time after class to show me additional stretches I could work on at home. For any newbies to Bar, don't be afraid if the instructors adjust you, as it's important to get your form correct so you aren't hurting yourself. Even I still get corrected after coming to class for so long lol (each day your body is different). There are also modifications that you can do if some of the exercises are too difficult. If you've been coming for awhile like I have, you can always get a challenging workout by increasing your weights or taking one of the specialized classes like Bar Strength or Bar Cardio. Overall, I'm grateful for the community that I have at Bar Method Campbell and I also love how strong I am after going to classes regularly! read more

I've had a membership at this studio for ~1.5 years now and it is one of the best workouts I've done for my body and my back. I was doing yoga for years and taught prior to re-injuring my back. I have tried various studios throughout the Bay Area through classpass and I have class packages at several other studios, but barre has been such a big help to recovering from an old back injury. It's low impact, but intense strengthening and working of muscles I've never used before. The instructors are excellent (there aren't any I wouldn't go to). They are also very consistent so I know what I'm getting when I go. The studio is clean and the equipment is great. Lots of parking. I've convinced a couple of my friends to try it and they also bought class packages. I would highly recommend! And they have cute socks. read more

Love the workout experience here! Parking is easy! Check in is easy! Instructors are welcoming, and there's comfortable interior design of the studio! The vibe is just right, everything makes you feel comfortable and easy to put all your focus on training your self: body and mind. The workout is challenging, pushing to my limit, yet the pace is reasonable for me to follow and go through the whole class with mind cleared. The next day, I can feel sore deep in my muscle, which I really enjoyed! The extent is just right above your limit, so sore will be gone in 1-2 days and you'll soon be ready for another class! I am a bar-liever! I'm 3 years out from a major surgery that forced me to change my workout routine. Then add in another major life change -- and there I was 18-months postpartum and feeling lost. I felt like I didn't know my body or my limits anymore. On my quest to revamp my workout routine, I remembered an old coworker who left the office life to own a Bar Method studio. I didn't realize there were lots of different types of barre so I tried a few different types and I fell in LOVE with the Bar Method! I'm one of those people who usually has to drag herself to workouts and is secretly happy when she can't make it. But not for Bar! During my trial period, I got sick with a minor cold and instead of just sitting out, I joined the live stream to work out from home. I try to keep time in my weekly schedule so that I can attend at least 1 class a week because I LIKE IT! The workouts vary so that you won't get bored and they are challenging, in the best way! I haven't felt this good in such a long time. The owner Hafiza is amazing and very responsive to questions -- I hope I can take one of her classes soon! And I really love the instructors here (shout out to Kari and Carrie who keep it real and correct me with lots of care) and my fellow barre classmates. Laurie was the first member to really welcome me and introduced me to lots of other regulars and made me feel right at home since my first visit. I have been a consistent client at Bar Method Campbell since 2018, and a faithful customer of The Bar Method at other locations for 10 years. I recently canceled my membership because this studio has a new owner who has been disrespectful and dishonest towards me and several other clients, and because several of the studio's most beloved instructors have been pushed out or let go. It is really unfortunate that the studio has gone downhill in this way. Bar Method has been a really great addition to my fitness routine. I have found that it is a low impact, highly effective workout. The movements are small yet powerful. I have hosted a couple of private events at BM Campbell and got amazing feedback on the classes. We also ordered special socks for the class! At 46, I am in the best shape of my life thanks to the bar method. A low carb diet and running were no longer effective for weight management. I knew I needed to change my routine. I decided to add bar to my regimen and within five weeks, noticed my body was changing. I was getting stronger, sculpted, had better posture and my sciatica had diminished significantly. Six months later, my friends, family and I are in awe of my toned and chiseled body. Bar is challenging but I always look forward to class even if I'm tired. The bar method Campbell team is incredibly warm, engaging and talented. They remember your name, give praise when due and provide guidance when necessary. I only took one class here, but was able to get a taste of the experience! Pros: - I was actually sore the next day! I've taken barre code classes before where I ended up not feeling sore, so this was a nice surprise - names: the instructor really seemed to know each person's name, which was pretty impressive since the class was pretty packed! -amenities: they have a couple of showers here/bathrooms and lockers that can actually are big enough to accommodate your belongings. Bathrooms are clean and spacious - front desk staff: very friendly! - paperwork: love how they laminated the paper they ask you to fill out so you use a white board marker - saves those trees! -location: prime location in Campbell! - accommodations: there was another instructor in the class that that was just taking the class, but she took some time to help me with some modifications since I'm 23 weeks pregnant Cons: - during the entire class, I looked around the room and everyone looked MISERABLE. Sure, they were concentrating, but I definitely want to work out at a place where there is a sense of lightheartedness. You can workout hard but not take yourself too seriously - community: didn't give me a sense or vibe that I could connect with others here. People seemed to come in for a workout and leave. Literally no smiles, "how are you's" etc. I've been at barre classes that really focused on that community feel, and I think this place could work on that. There was one point where the instructor called out the names of the first timers in class and said they should go to the front for the next exercise part after they put the weights away. Yeahhhh I don't think so. I put my weights away and I look to the front, and all these ladies already lined up there. No space haha -class size: big! Which means not as much space/ kind of felt cramped -not very strength-based: it's great that the instructor could correct others' posture and poses, but seemed to call things out that could be taken as embarrassing or shaming. There was one lady that didn't put her arm up for one of the moves and the instructor called her out, but the poor lady was shaking so much there was no way she could put her arm up, so like... let her be! Would I come back? Everything looks good from the outside and maybe if I was really needing a workout class, but I'm all about community and having fun when I workout, so ....long-term... don't think so. read more

This is the best hidden gem of a workout studio in Campbell! One year ago I cancelled my gym membership and all other intense workouts due to health reasons; as someone who worked out on the daily and thought a good sweat meant more calories burned, I was in a really difficult place. As soon as I got clearance from my doctor to work out again, I started seeking out low intensity workout studios that still incorporated a good amount of strength training - yoga, pilates...and then I found Bar! I love workout classes but am always a little nervous at first. When I stumbled upon Bar Method in Campbell, little did I know that it would soon become a home away from home for me! I live for these classes every week! While low intensity, these workouts will sneak up on you and the muscles you didn't know you had. Every single instructor is not only so nice but incredibly knowledgeable, unique in their way of teaching, and they always remember your name! You can expect a greeting every time you walk through the door. Love that personal touch. They do fun events, challenges, and I've met so many amazing women. I'm a former runner/triathlete/kickboxer who's been out of shape for a while. I'm used to high impact sports, but over time the repetitive injuries add up, and I was in a spot to re-think how to be healthy in the long-term. I found The Bar Method on Groupon, and after reading the reviews (like the one I'm writing) I decided to give it a shot. The things that convinced me to give it a try were other reviewers commenting on how the instructors help you focus on form, versus competitor barre gyms that weren't as personalized. Also, it's a great location in my neighborhood, which would give me very few reasons to have an excuse not to go. For those not familiar with Bar Method classes, they consist of dance-inspired moves and stretches, taught in a planned out series of sets and repetitions. Muscles targeted are all the tiny stabilizing muscles in your arms, core, quads/legs, and rear. In short, it's a really great workout for people with more sedentary type of work, as it helps strengthen and tone your very core muscles (which is what I was looking for). To be honest, I don't enjoy the workouts BUT I do enjoy the results. In all my years of athleticism, these workout have been the most effective at overall muscle tone and stabilizing my core. Also, this is a great workout PROS: - 5 Stars for this safe, effective method of toning workout - Friendly and helpful instructors who know you by name - Clean, classy facility with nice restrooms and amenities to freshen up afterwards (even a shower if needed) - Occasional fitness challenges with prizes keep you engaged and motivated - Owners Stacy & Shadin are passionate about their business, and wonderful people to boot CONS: - If you're looking for a more cardio workout, you'll have to look elsewhere. You will definitely tone up and feel stronger if you go to class 3-4 times/week though! - I am just docking one star for community, as I am a pretty efficient gym-goer and I don't often socialize with my fellow Bar Method mates. I will say that they are friendly! Overall I do recommend The Bar Method if you are looking for a safe, effective workout to strengthen your core muscles. If you are looking for weight loss, you'll have to supplement with other cardio activities in addition to this gym. I came here on Saturday, June 11th, as they were offering free classes for their grand opening. This studio is brand new, located across from the Pruneyard and tucked into the same plaza as Mod Pizza and Habit Burger. They had a Lorna Jane trunk show with really cute pieces, Uber cold pressed juices, and light refreshments on that day. I've been to a few Bar Method classes and they are known to be very personable i.e. instructors remember everyone's names (I don't know how they do it). Their classes rely heavily on form and technique in order to work out the correct muscle and avoid any injuries. I do like their hands on adjustments throughout class so I know I am getting the most out of my workout. Boy, I felt it the next day throughout my whole body! The Bar Method studios I've attended in the South Bay are consistent with their teachings. I'm glad to see that they expanded to Campbell and would be back if I'm in the area. read more

The Bar Method workout incorporates cardio, strength training and lots of stretches in a 45-minute express routine. It has helped me to become more flexible, stronger and more confident in my strength. When I first started here, I could barely maintain a plank for 30 seconds, bend & touch my toes, and never mind push-ups! Before Bar Method, I had avoided group instructor-led workouts because being a bit clumpsy I had trouble following along the various poses correctly. The Bar Method is different. The studio owners (Stacy & Shadin) and instructors know me and other members by name. During workouts, they observe and help us correct our postures so that we are working the intended muscles. Now I've been going to this Bar Method studio for four years--including live-stream workouts over the last 18 months. Even during livestream classes during these COVID times, my instructors continue to give me specific real-time feedback when my poses need correcting. That's something I couldn't get from workouts at other group exercise classes or a Jane Fonda exercise DVD ;-) read more

Can I give this place more than 5 stars? No? Ok, fine, but make a mental note that it deserves more than 5. I was a member for more than a year at this location's Bar Method and on average attended class 4 times a week during that time. It started out with me buying a Gilt deal to try this place out when it first opened, and then it ended up me becoming a member and being one of the best experiences I had living in South Bay. I had taken classes on the east coast with pure barre and enjoyed it, but then I attended Bar Method in Campbell and realized there was so much more to love and I also realized that I was doing a lot of moves without proper form because no one corrected me during that time. Well, Bar Method was quick to change that. I learned proper form and got such a great work out each time I came. I'm a runner, but barre really helped me in other ways that I wasn't getting from my usual workout... it helped me build different muscles, endurance, and be mentally stronger. An overall amazing workout. Also, I can't say enough good things about The Bar Method owners/staff. I mainly took classes with Leslie, who is wonderful. She's really sweet and helpful, but also provides an intense workout:). Stephanie, Jen, Meghan.. seriously, all amazing. Absolutely love the instructors here and the Bar Method classes. I've tried several barre studios in the area and have been taking barre classes for about 8 years and nothing comes close to this studio. Over the last couple of years since Stacy and Shadin took over as owners a great community has been created. They have fun class for holidays, events to build community, plus activities to challenge yourself like Bar Bingo. I Highly recommended for beginners to more advanced clients who have taken barre classes for years. It's is a safe place to continue to improve your practice. The instructors make a point to get to know you and any modifications you may need from having hip issues, to a precious knee Surgery, to being 20 weeks pregnant, etc. the instructors will ensure you are in proper form so you do not injure yourself and can get an amazing workout. read more

I started barre about 3 years ago and it is the only workout I have been able to stick with. No matter how long you've been doing it, every class will continue to challenge you. I even went through a pregnancy and was able to continue going well into my third trimester with easy modifications. It has helped me to regain my confidence postpartum-- mentally, physically, and spiritually. The variety of classes work well with my busy schedule and I love the instructors here. They always know your name, seem very invested in you, and help you to attain your best form which is the only way to get fantastic results. The instructors also go through a very thorough and arduous training process, so you can trust that they are very knowledgeable and their training is unparalleled.
